6. Between The Flags Camp 'n Cabins

Hip, hip, hooray! "Between the Flags Camp 'n Cabins" is now open to nice folks. Located a short 5 minute drive from the tourist town of Gimli, we've got 120 acres of forest. It's secluded and quite quiet with several kilometers of mowed, signed, and mapped trails, a pond with a floating dock and seating area, a common area with outdoor games, a fire pit, and a small stage for campers/renters to interact. There are 2 tiny houses available for rent: 1.) Micro Cabin in the Secluded Forest 2.) The Blue Owl Tiny House Experience. 3.) There are 3 non-serviced, clearly signed as RV#1, RV#2 and RV#3. These are back-in RV sites to accommodate travel trailers, fifth wheel campers, Class A, Class B, Class C RVs. All styles are welcome. 4.) Tent sites are available with parking for one vehicle. Both cabins, each RV and tent sites all have a picnic table and firepit. We have 4 traditional outhouses, a septic holding tank and a black-water tote for your convenience. Garbage and recycling receptacles are placed conveniently. We've set up a couple of challenging Scavenger Hunts along the trails. Printed checklists and pencils are in the book box located at the common games area near the stage. Berry picking Saskatoons, Cranberries, Chokecherries and Loganberries are abundant while in season. There are plenty of wildflowers and an opportunity to see wildlife in it's natural setting. There have been many deer sightings and on occasion coyotes and bears have been in the area as well. The popular tourist town of Gimli is a short drive away, where you'll find shopping, restaurants, swimming, fishing, boating, farmer's markets and festivals. Gimli Motorsports Park is close by featuring auto and motorcycle racing.

This site is on a ridge, surrounded with spruce trees, oaks. and poplars. You will find a fire pit, out door shower. out door kitchen, out house and access to a generator. There's a shady bonfire location in the bush with hammocks, access to a BBQ, on site kayak rentals, coffee, ice cream, cold drinks and other conveniences. And plenty of free parking. Accessible without driving down dusty gravel roads. Portable toilet on site. I had trouble uploading photos, otherwise I'd have better ones.

11 acres campsite in the heart of the interlakes, a 10 minute drive away from local amenities in Teulon and 30 minutes from Stonewall. There is lots of fishing locations surrounding the campsite- 35 mins from Lake Manitoba 22 mins from lake Winnipeg 15 mins from Shoal Lake and Only 6 mins from Norris Lake. We have kept each site very private and once in your spot, you are out of site of other campers to immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings of Oak, Alder and Pine trees. Each site comes with its own large firepit for cozy evening barbecues. If you are looking for larger group bookings. We offer "The Social." An area big enough for around 8 tents, smaller RVs, and trailers. All set round a large central firepit. There is some stunning crownland to the North of the campsite with ATV and walking trails to Norris Lake and the surrounding area. At present there is a portaloo on site and a gated entrance.

We are a small Eco Resort in Sandilands Provincial Forest. All 4 cabins are solar, and off grid. Just 3 min for Woodridge, and set on the western border of the Sandilands provincial Forest. It's a cottage community and sees a steady influx of visitors. There are groomed snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, as well as a ATVing, and hunting in the area. SANDILANDS PROVINCIAL FOREST: The soil is still a reminder of the ancient beaches, but is now covered with a rich forest of mixed hardwoods and majestic pine. The high sand ridges of the Sandilands area, known as Bedford Hills and Cypress Mountains, are the second highest point of elevation in Manitoba. Additionally you will have access to all the shared amenities of the eco-resort including a wood-fired barrel sauna (all year), outdoor shower (in the summer) As well as the Organic swimming pool. There are 3 other unique rents on the property Fire pit firewood can be bought $20 for a wagon (Woodstove wood is provide). You can also buy hand made Metis art. Great secluded spot with beach access. Was able to pull right up with our suburban and 17foot trailer with minimal effort, a larger trailer and truck may have some difficulty pulling right up to the prime window view, but wouldn't be a big deal to stay back a bit. Fire bowl had a wheelbarrow with wood ready to go and plenty of beach wood around to collect with permission. Sunrise was insanely beautiful. Only thing we would change is staying longer!

Great warm people. Property bit rough when you come in but hip camp field in the back was beautiful and separate from owners house. Lots if privacy. They came to check to see if we needed anything. They were wonderful. Bit loud with rosd noise at first but after 9pm quiet. One train came thru. But all in all lovely.

I had a lovely time camping at Noah and Cheryl’s tent site! I came with little plans other than visiting the Oak Hammock Marsh, and Noah gave me many suggestions for local things to do. I enjoyed some time on the community beach and enjoy some food at the local restaurants. I felt like a local! I enjoyed my camp site under the stars with plenty of room to spare. I felt like I had a good distance and privacy from the other campers. Overall, Noah and Cheryl were very kind, I really enjoyed being at the site, and I will have to come back again with some friends. Thanks for having me!

My husband and I had a great time at Pete’s Place. Peter was fantastic! When we arrived, he showed us around his property and let us choose the spot that we would like to park our camper and set up our tent. If we needed anything, he had it on hand. No matter how busy he was, and man was he busy, between checking in guests at his numerous airbnbs, cleaning, running kayaks, paddle boards & life jackets back and forth from his shop to the water, and everything else he had on the go, he still always made time to check in on us. He answered any questions we had and gave suggestions of where to go and what to see and also made sure to warn us of the abundance of poison ivy. He was also great with our dog, who’s quite protective and can be a little extra at times. We can’t recommend Pete’s Place enough. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

This is one of the most memorable camping experiences you could ever have just 1 hour drive from Winnipeg. Highly recommend for somone looking for quiet, private, safe and comfortable camping!!! The unique design of the dome will give you the feeling of sleeping under the stars with its transparent ceiling!! Canoeing in Whiteshell river is a bonus. You will see turtles, eagles, many different varieties of fish and if you are lucky enough even a bear! Above all you will meet the most friendliest and most accommodating hosts, Amber and Johnny. We rate this 10 out of 10 for; comfort, cleanliness, price, amenities, location, gueat services and accuracy of information. We will come again and again!!!

This was by far the best camping/glamping experience we've ever had. Glen gave us such a warm welcome, even before we arrived at his property, greeting us at the entrance. He took the time to explain everything in detail and treated us to an off-road ride, showing us the stunning acres of his forested land. He also provided firewood and coffee in the morning—such a wonderful gesture. Glen is truly a wonderful host. The tipi was incredibly cozy, with all the bedding already set up for us, which made us feel right at home. We felt completely safe and at peace during our stay. One thing I’d recommend is bringing insect repellent, as there are quite a few bugs, but that’s to be expected in a nature setting. The best part is that you’ll have the entire place to yourself, which makes it feel even more special. The property has a full-sized BBQ, which was perfect for cooking, and Glen’s chicken farm added a nice touch—he kindly brought us fresh eggs for breakfast. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, I highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely be coming back with friends in the future!

Beside the tipi there is retro fitted off grid trailer with a double sink and a compostable toilet for your privacy.
