Great warm people. Property bit rough when you come in but hip camp field in the back was beautiful and separate from owners house. Lots if privacy. They came to check to see if we needed anything. They were wonderful. Bit loud with rosd noise at first but after 9pm quiet. One train came thru. But all in all lovely.

Recommend communicating with host before arriving the day before. I’ve made the trip twice with no entry, either a blocked drive with vehicle or a closed gate. Door is never answered with knocking on door or using doorbell. 4hrs of driving wasted…

We loved this lovely setting, by far our favorite camp site! Easy to find, great set -up with a fire pit loaded ready to go! The ability to camp in such a natural setting was certainly what we love. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. #1 by far.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful property and very private site in the forest. The open fields were amazing for a walk with our dog on the cut grass trails. The property is a quick ~ 30 minutes to Winnipeg. There is a railway line to the south which you can occasionally hear but didn’t bother us. The host was able to provide water from their well for our RV water tank on the way in. We will definitely return on our next trip in the area. Loved it!

I loved tent camping here! Awesome experience with truly hospitable hosts! I loved the views and trails, very peaceful and beautiful area. I stayed alone, but there was more than enough space for me and my setup.

HAMMOCK HAVEN

Enjoyed the privacy and stunning views on an early morning walk. The bugs weren't bad at all. I came prepared to take care of business with a shovel, but Michaela provided a portapotty and offered water at their home. Plenty of firewood and shade at Hammock Haven! I'll say for the benefit of future visitors- Michaela's property is the first left turn coming onto Station Road from the highway, with a small wooden structure marking the entrance.

THE WHISTLE STOP

What an amazing spot! I had a truly wonderful time here! Such a well-kept campsite and lovely hosts. I would definitely return and have already recommended the site to a friend! The train does go by at night but I enjoyed it and it added to the experience. This really added to my epic motorbike across Canada. Thank you!

THE WHISTLE STOP

Great hosts. Super helpful. Went out of their way to help us with firewood and make suggestions about what to do with the weekend. I am a single dad and took my 18 month old and 4.5 year old and felt totally safe and welcomed. Highly recommend.

Loved tent camping on Michaela’s land. Peaceful property. Lots of birds to listen to at night. Our campsite was surrounded by birches and long grass so bug spray is a must.

I loved tent camping on the Bonnets land!! Very secluded, which I like, and it had views of the beautiful sky!! I am on a road trip and this was the perfect stop along the way!! Michaela and her husband were very friendly and super helpful!!! I would definitely stay here again!!

Loved the site, the stars at night were unlike anything I’d seen before. The hosts accommodated out late arrival and offered firewood. The only suggestion I have is being earplugs if you are in a tent as there is a nearby train.

Great site, fantastic for star gazing and enjoying nature. A train goes by quite often so be ready for that, and make sure to get the directions right so you don’t get lost. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area, the hosts are really nice as well!!

Michaela was most helpful and on site when I arrived. Directions were good but could be further enhanced by providing the civic address as it took me a while to locate the property and there was no cell service so communication was problematic. The property could not be fully enjoyed due to the spring flooding which made access to the rear site a challenge. Overall a peaceful stop on my journey

Beautiful site, friendly hosts

We had a fantastic stay at Bonnetts Boreal Forrest. The location was easy enough to find and upon arrival Darren came out to greet us and let us follow him out to the camp site so that we knew exactly where to go. He provided us with some firewood, and we enjoyed a great little chat about the highlights of the area. He told us that they had seen Northern Lights the night before from their home, so we were on the lookout but didn't get so lucky. The field was an amazing spot for star-gazing however. And when we woke up in the morning there were a few deer just outside our camper van.
