We are a small Eco Resort in Sandilands Provincial Forest. All 4 cabins are solar, and off grid. Just 3 min for Woodridge, and set on the western border of the Sandilands provincial Forest. It's a cottage community and sees a steady influx of visitors. There are groomed snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, as well as a ATVing, and hunting in the area. SANDILANDS PROVINCIAL FOREST: The soil is still a reminder of the ancient beaches, but is now covered with a rich forest of mixed hardwoods and majestic pine. The high sand ridges of the Sandilands area, known as Bedford Hills and Cypress Mountains, are the second highest point of elevation in Manitoba. Additionally you will have access to all the shared amenities of the eco-resort including a wood-fired barrel sauna (all year), outdoor shower (in the summer) As well as the Organic swimming pool. There are 3 other unique rents on the property You can also buy hand made Metis art. (all money goes to the artisan) We also buy décor and blankets from Metis, and aboriginal company's in Canada.

A simple, special getaway.
I appreciated the quaint outdoor kitchen and the indoor little wood fire stove. I was fascinated with the view of the starlite sky from the bed. I even saw a firefly. Thanks for sharing your special oasis with the public. Oh, yes, the main feature - the sauna and the organic outdoor pool.

Eco-Friendly Retreat in the Woods!
I had a wonderful experience staying for two nights at this cabin! The cabin was small and cozy and had cute decor and thoughtful touches. The tiny wood stove was cool and added some warmth in the evening. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Inside the cabin, there was a USB plug in for your phone, lights, candles and a fan. There was an outdoor kitchen with sink, potable water, stove, cooking utensils, picnic table and tinder/paper/wood for the fire pit or wood stove. Just a short walk from the cabin, there was an outhouse with solar powered light (which was great for visits after dark). The mosquitoes got pretty bad in the evenings so make sure to bring some coils or a thermacell. My favourite part of my stay was enjoying the sauna and natural swimming pool/pond. The sauna was wood fired and it didn’t take long to heat up. I liked pouring water over the rocks to get the sauna super steamy! The pond had a plastic liner on the edge and at the bottom, so it wasn’t weedy at all. The water was cool and clear and very refreshing especially after a sauna and a warm day of exploring. It was pretty deep near the dock and the middle of the pond (7 feet or so). There were lounge chairs around the pond as well to soak up the sun. Next to the sauna was an outdoor shower (which I didn’t end up using, but it looked great). The setting next to the woods was super peaceful and relaxing. It felt like a retreat away from the busyness of life. Would absolutely recommend!
