Some sites have full amenities while others are as rustic and secluded as you want. The sites each have a firepit to enjoy the evenings while watching the beautiful sunsets. Firewood available. This is an active farm property so there could be some animal sounds but it only adds to the beauty of this place. There is great access to a large dock for tying up your boat, swimming or casting a line and catching a variety of fish. We also offer paddle boat, paddle boards, canoe and fishing boat rentals at extra costs. There is a large yard for yard games and a volleyball net if you're looking for something sporty to do. We also offer accommodations for horse owners as we have fenced paddocks with water and miles of trails to explore nearby, please inquire for additional pricing. We are a small Eco Resort in Sandilands Provincial Forest. All 4 cabins are solar, and off grid. Just 3 min for Woodridge, and set on the western border of the Sandilands provincial Forest. It's a cottage community and sees a steady influx of visitors. There are groomed snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, as well as a ATVing, and hunting in the area. SANDILANDS PROVINCIAL FOREST: The soil is still a reminder of the ancient beaches, but is now covered with a rich forest of mixed hardwoods and majestic pine. The high sand ridges of the Sandilands area, known as Bedford Hills and Cypress Mountains, are the second highest point of elevation in Manitoba. Additionally you will have access to all the shared amenities of the eco-resort including a wood-fired barrel sauna (all year), outdoor shower (in the summer) As well as the Organic swimming pool. There are 3 other unique rents on the property Fire pit firewood can be bought $20 for a wagon (Woodstove wood is provide). You can also buy hand made Metis art. Our vintage dining table and chairs are just the cutest and just the right size for 2 to 3 people. The rustic outdoor toilet and shower are just around the corner of the deck and add to the charm of the property. The Lilypad sits on a large flat granite rock which curves down to the water. The rock is the perfect place for sunbathing, doing a few yoga stretches, and enjoying the campfire, You can throw a line in and spend the afternoon fishing, or take the plunge into the cool waters of Lake Winnipeg. To get there you need to be in Manitoba, 2nd road east, of Hwy #229 (south side) 60 miles north of Winnipeg of Hwy #7 .The lane looks like your going down a bush trail (do not let this fool you). This site is on a ridge, surrounded with spruce trees, oaks. and poplars. You will find a fire pit, out door shower. out door kitchen, out house and access to a generator. There is lots of fishing locations surrounding the campsite- 35 mins from Lake Manitoba 22 mins from lake Winnipeg 15 mins from Shoal Lake and Only 6 mins from Norris Lake. We have kept each site very private and once in your spot, you are out of site of other campers to immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings of Oak, Alder and Pine trees. Each site comes with its own large firepit for cozy evening barbecues. If you are looking for larger group bookings. We offer "The Social." An area big enough for around 8 tents, smaller RVs, and trailers. All set round a large central firepit. There is some stunning crownland to the North of the campsite with ATV and walking trails to Norris Lake and the surrounding area. At present there is a portaloo on site and a gated entrance.

We are a small Eco Resort in Sandilands Provincial Forest. All 4 cabins are solar, and off grid. Just 3 min for Woodridge, and set on the western border of the Sandilands provincial Forest. It's a cottage community and sees a steady influx of visitors. There are groomed snowmobile trails, cross country ski trails, as well as a ATVing, and hunting in the area. SANDILANDS PROVINCIAL FOREST: The soil is still a reminder of the ancient beaches, but is now covered with a rich forest of mixed hardwoods and majestic pine. The high sand ridges of the Sandilands area, known as Bedford Hills and Cypress Mountains, are the second highest point of elevation in Manitoba. Additionally you will have access to all the shared amenities of the eco-resort including a wood-fired barrel sauna (all year), outdoor shower (in the summer) As well as the Organic swimming pool. There are 3 other unique rents on the property Fire pit firewood can be bought $20 for a wagon (Woodstove wood is provide). You can also buy hand made Metis art. Beside the tipi there is retro fitted off grid trailer with a double sink and a compostable toilet for your privacy. The Lilypad measures 10 x 20 feet, with a large covered deck that is just steps from the water. Although it is tiny, the cabin has everything you need to have a relaxing and fun time! The garden doors open into a beautiful space - with high whitewashed pine ceilings and white shiplap walls. The decor is a mix of scandi and boho styles - with a touch of vintage. The large glass garage door opens to provide panoramic views of the bay. Spend the morning lounging in bed, with the garage door open, and enjoy the breeze drifting in and the wild life floating by. Or curl up in the hammock chairs with a good book and a cool drink and feel the warm summer sun on your skin. Our compact kitchen has stainless steel countertops and a small sink. Our vintage dining table and chairs are just the cutest and just the right size for 2 to 3 people. The living/sleeping area consists of a queen size futon and twin size loft bed (should you need the extra bed). The rustic outdoor toilet and shower are just around the corner of the deck and add to the charm of the property. The Lilypad sits on a large flat granite rock which curves down to the water. The rock is the perfect place for sunbathing, doing a few yoga stretches, and enjoying the campfire, You can throw a line in and spend the afternoon fishing, or take the plunge into the cool waters of Lake Winnipeg. Rent one of our kayaks or canoe and take a paddle out to one of the many tiny islands that dot the bay. So many great things to see and do at The LIlypad at Loon Straits.
