Mild weather keeps this 8,000-acre protected wilderness preserve pleasant throughout the year, with occasional closures in case of extreme rains. And expect explosions of wildflowers in springtime!
Two major campsites (plus a few other little pockets for camping) provide power and water for your RV hookups. This isn't a spot to camp with pets—they can attract the cougars who make this park their home. The layout of the campsites, especially in the Live Oak campground, makes this OC park ideal for camping with a large group. Equestrian camping is available, too.
