Easy access to Yellowstone National Park, and only ~40mins drive from the Cody Rodeo.
Camped with a 1-man tent and basic air mattress, would probably suit someone a bit more equipped.
Sunrise was beautiful, and I’m sure sunset would have been too if I’d been at the site as it went dark.
Steep and rubbly driveway so maybe not best for low clearance 2WD vehicles.

However, we brought our two dogs, and I want to mention that the whole area is filled with Foxtails and little burs that love to get stuck in their fur. It was a little cumbersome, getting stuck all over my gear too, but worth it for the gorgeous view. We would hands-down stay here again.
It was a little difficult to get to, I would make sure you ask the house for an official address before going! We got lost a little bit and were able to find the location using the information on the stay.

“Tad’s” land became home to us. We were there for 11 nights and fell in love with Cody. There was so much to see and do. Tad was there with great suggestions on restaurants and must sees, and also became a dear friend.. The sunsets on the property were exceptional with the mountains being our background the entire stay. A double rainbow covered the property the night before we left, leaving us feeling like we had found a second home.

Beautiful spot within 45 minutes of Yellowstone’s east entrance. Steep and rocky uphill drive to the camping spot but I was able to make it with my Buick Encore. Friendly host.

We spent 2 nights at Loopy Lasso. The hosts were awesome and the site was well kept and had water/electric hookups. The sunsets were amazing. We would highly recommend spending time at the LL if you are near Cody, WY.
