We loved car camping on Margaret’s farm! She is very friendly and helpful, and all of her animals are so cute & friendly. It’s a perfect spot, 10-15min from Cody, and an hour from Yellowstone east entrance.
FYI if you plan on tenting make sure you have strong sturdy stakes, the ground was hard and rocky, and the wind can be strong at times! Overall it was a great stay, we bought firewood from her and enjoyed our time camping at her farm. Definitely recommend!!

The host was genuinely kind, welcoming, and friendly, which makes it uncomfortable to leave a negative review. Unfortunately, our experience with the campsite itself was very disappointing and did not match our expectations based on the listing.
When we arrived, we noticed that the campsite appeared poorly maintained. There was animal waste (sheep or goat) around the area, including near the space where we had to step when getting out of our camper. The site was also littered in several places, which made it feel neglected rather than like a comfortable camping destination.
What concerned us most was that within just a few minutes of arriving, a metal shelving unit fell onto our camper. Thankfully nobody was injured, but it was still an unsettling experience and raised concerns about the overall upkeep of the property.
Because of the condition of the campsite and this incident, we decided not to stay and instead found another campground.
To be clear, our concerns are about the campsite itself, not the host, who was very pleasant. However, we feel that the listing does not accurately reflect the actual condition of the property. In our opinion, this site might be worth around $15 per night, but certainly not the $50 that was charged.
We rarely leave negative reviews, but we believe future guests should have an accurate understanding of what to expect.

Quite farm life was nice but it rained and a mud mess. Gravel would be nice instead of dirt and cow poop.

This site was awesome! The check in process was super easy and it was a lot of fun hanging out with all of the animals. The site is isolated and quiet, and the stars were beautiful. I wouldn't change a thing. Highly recommend!

We had a very lovely stay at Margaret's property, the area is gorgeous and we loved being close to the horses! Our Great Dane loved it too! We didn’t get a chance to meet the host but we did meet Suzanne who also lives on site and she is wonderful! She’s a guide in Yellowstone and works in town. We definitely hope to stay here again next time we pass through Cody and hopefully for more than one night!

Very friendly, propped, thorough communication. Excellent directions. Straightforward sites, I love the way they use the spools as tables. Saying good morning to the animals on the farm, shortly after watching the sunrise… Was a great way to start the day.

Margaret was incredibly helpful with instructions and was very understanding when we couldn’t make the check in time due to difficult roads. Very nice sites, quiet, llamas, chickens and horses on the property. Would definitely come back!

Margaret, a.k.a. Jersey, provided a very welcoming environment as did two of her three dogs. The third was in training, so no foul there. However, there were other fowls - chickens and turkeys. Also, Alice, a llama or alpaca, I couldn’t tell from her sweater as she was recently shorn. Also horses and a cow.. All were well behaved and didn’t moo, whinny, cheep, cluck, gobble, or do whatever llama-alpacas do too early so I was able to get a good night sleep and see a lot of stars through my moon roof.

Camping on Jersey's property was so nice. She was a great host. She has great animals, i.e. dogs and horses who all love getting petted and a spunky Llama. Getting on and off the property was super easy. The views were wonderful.

First, this is extremely easy to find and about 10 minutes from downtown Cody. Margaret, the host, is super nice and very accommodating. She sells huge bundles of firewood for $5! The two alpaca llama mixes don't give a crap about humans so they'll ignore you, but the cows are fun and the horses are super sweet. Beautiful surroundings on a working farm with views of the mountains and 360 views of the amazing scenery. There may be dry cow patties occasionally but if that bothers you you shouldn't be coming to a farm! Spaces for camping and RVs are well separated ensuring privacy, the place is well taken care of, and the evening breezes are fantastic. Very quiet here with no trains or planes or automobiles but the occasional coyotes at night! I plan on coming back later this summer and again next year because this place makes me feel very much at peace!

My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful time camping at Sweetiebird Farms! Margaret is so incredibly kind and accommodating, she really did everything to ensure we were comfortably set up on her farm and is just overall a wonderful person to meet! Not only do I adore our host but I love the location of this place, it’s close enough to town to go exploring at night while still being far enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet night with Margaret’s sweet animals. Also, being an hour away from Yellowstone NP made this campsite the perfect place for our weekend adventure! This is my second time camping at Sweetiebird Farms and it certainly will not be the last time I stay here! I would absolutely recommend this campsite to anyone wanting to stay in Cody, WY! :)

Very friendly, excellent communication, kids loved the dog that visited on a leash until she noticed they wanted to pet and play then allowed to be off leash. I would stay here again if back in the area. Thanks!

Margaret (aka Jersey) has a beautiful farm. It’s quiet with beautiful mountains in the distance. We walked the property and she greeted us. We fed the llamas and pet the horses. And her dogs, Ellie and Ziva, were sweet and lovIng. In the morning we took a walk “around the block” and saw some deer. Jersey recommended we go to the “Cody Cattle Company Dinner and Show”. It was amazing. The guitarist is spectacular (Ryan Martin) as well as the saxophonist (Marv Short) and the owners, also in the band (Greg & Ann Pendleton). Multitalented as they ALL sang and played; the brisket and pulled pork were delicious!
We thought we’d pass through Cody on our way from Yellowstone to Devil’s Tower and ended up staying two days.
Thanks Jersey for making us feel welcome.

Jersey’s place was SO wonderful! We had the best time staying here during our travels! The area was beautiful, the animals were just the cutest (especially the dogs!), and it was such a peaceful stay! The tent sites are spacious and perfect for any type of camping (we car camped with a tent attachment). Jersey was incredibly welcoming and such a cool person to hang out with! If you want to be reserved and keep to yourself, she certainly honors that too, but 10/10 would recommend visiting with her while you’re there! 🙂 Thank you and your place for being such a memorable part of our trip! Give the dogs lots of pets for us- we miss them already!

We loved camping on Margaret's farm. She has wonderful farm animals like, horses, llamas, very cute goats, alpaca, chickens, etc. Also she has the cutest dogs: Corgi, red setter, who came to visit us every day. She left us alone to do what we wanted. Don't rely on google maps.

Overall we had a place to park and the value was the best out there. Margaret is friendly and responsive. Her property has great potential but I will say we were a disappointed to pull into our site filled with straw and horse poop everywhere, especially since the pictures were so beautiful. Some clean up is necessary as it isn’t the place you want to sit outside and bbq or eat a meal. The views to the east and south are great. If you’re just looking for a place to park and sleep that doesn’t break the bank, this is your place.
