Bring water, cabin is dry and snacks. I do keep some basics in the cabin so if you are traveling grab a meal, snacks and some water, the cabin is stocked with the rest of what you'll need for a night's stay without having to unpack the vehicle. If you're traveling I80, the Little Cabin is a great place to enjoy the sunset or just a peaceful night's sleep after enjoying the Snowy Range Scenic byway in the summer and a possible work around if the interstate is closed in the winter. If you're coming in from Denver/Ft Collins, Co area, Poudre Canyon is a beautiful drive and can take you thru Walden, Co or bring you in on Wyo 10. There is public access, dogs allowed, to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs alongside it.
Watching the wildlife is an experience of its own. From Chipmunks to deer, we see an assortment. If you enjoy birds and their sounds, you can pick a spot and enjoy. If you are a weather watcher, you may see 3-4 seasons in one day depending on the time of year. My homestead is located on 4 1/2 acres of pastureland that currently have no animals. You will turn on Powell rd to reach the back portion. The camping spots are located on the back part of the property and along a refurbished shed that includes 1 added 30 amp plug; interior electric, clean well water delivery or hose filling in warmer months as well as a separately fenced area for visiting canines (Please only non-aggressive breeds unless leashed at your camp). My Golden has an invisible fence and is not allowed to visit campers unless permitted. Fires are only permitted and shared on the back patio of my home. Activities for fun on site include corn hole, firepit on lower patio along with a propane weber grill. Only 2-3 mile from Frontier Park and an electric bike ride to downtown to tour the museums, restaurants and shops.
Currently, new to hip camp and refurbishing the house and exterior so The Shed will be a working/congregating space with refrigerator/freezer, electric cooktop and indoor space with a fan so folks can escape their cars/vans. Wi-Fi is also available in the shed and the surrounding camp areas toward the building.
This was my dream come true property and I'm looking forward to sharing it with road warriors like me. Weather is forever changing here and clouds roll by fast leaving the most fabulous rainbows. I just ask that no fires of any kind be set at your site because the field is a fire hazard in the dry plains.

Linda's cabin was exactly what we were looking for - a place to get off our phones, relax and have fun with our pup. I spent most of the daylight hours outside wrapped in a blanket on the Adirondack chairs with my furry buddy at my feet.
The cabin is well equipped with a a heater, microwave, mini fridge and electric kettle. There is also a propane BBQ just outside the cabin which we didn't use this trip, but will keep in mind for future visits.
Our pup, Petra, had so much fun and I felt very comfortable having her off leash while exploring the property. She loved the treats Linda left for her each day!
We were very comfortable; it was the perfect getaway.

Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view
The cabin was a perfect mountain get away! Linda was extremely helpful, offering detailed directions, fresh cookies and fresh coffee in the morning. The property and view was breathtaking, pictures just don’t do it justice. The drive out is gorgeous and you get right into the mountains and backcountry. Amazing getaway for some peace and star gazing!

Beautiful spot and perfect weekend getaway! Linda is a gem (thank you for the cookies!) and she thought of everything you could possibly need in this little cabin. It was just enough of a disconnect balanced with the modern convenience of electricity. I'm already excited to find a time to go back!

We loved staying at the Little Cabin With a View. Perfect for two people and the dogs had a ton of room to roam. It is a fabulous spot for dogs off the leash. They'd run around and come back...run around some more and come back. Linda is very welcoming and knows the area. And she dropped coffee off outside the door of the cabin every morning!!

Kim was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive. I requested a very last-minute reservation and I didn’t expect to hear back in the wee hours, but she got back to me right away. Her communications were clear, concise and friendly. (Note that I am NOT advocating late night requests if possible, now that it’s dawned on me that hosts may be disturbed by request notifications). Point is, Kim was VERY accommodating and I can’t recommend this site highly enough for that. As for the site itself, it was very clean and easily accessible. I didn’t quite grasp the layout from the listing, but the 2 sites are basically together, and are at the edge of their cabin property and close to the road in a mountain neighborhood with large lots and scattered homes. I don't mean any of that as a negative, just explaining the site. It was quiet and peaceful, especially as evening fell. What I liked a lot is you can back into site 1 in a way that you have a lovely private nook with a nice clean level spacious gravel site with a small picnic table surrounded by a grove of aspen trees. You can see houses nearby but they are not too close and the areas between are wooded. It rained and the aspen leaves began falling which is one of my favorite things :)
I will say for the sake of transparency that because we love privacy and seclusion in general we were grateful that no one was in site 2 nor the cabin due to proximity. It’s not the deep woods but better than crowded campgroundsin my book! RECOMMEND

Kim’s place is magical. It’s quiet & beautiful & the neighbors are very nice. I walked my dogs several times a day & everyone was very friendly & waved hello. Snake Lake (private) is a close walk away & it is beautiful. Dowdy Lake is a 4-minute drive. Plus, the stargazing is wonderful at this site too. Could see the Milky Way one night! Spot 1 is level & tucked amongst the aspen trees. I hope to camp here again one day. Loved our visit.

2 nights at Little Cabin with a view
We recently spent 3 days-2 nights at the Little Cabin with a View. Our host, Linda, was super welcoming—from the chocolate chip cookies awaiting us when we arrived, to the thermos of hot coffee sitting outside our cabin door each morning. The cabin is indeed little, but quite comfortable and cute. The veranda out the front door of the cabin has a great view of the Laramie River Valley and is the perfect spot to sip your morning coffee. The highlight of our trip was the incredible star gazing from the veranda and the small deck that’s a short walk up the hill from the cabin. We highly recommend the Little Cabin with a View for your next Hipcamp adventure.

Camping spot in the aspens was real nice, and very quiet! The spot was a couple miles from the Village, and 1/2 mile to the local grocery. Did not meet the owners, unfortunately, as our solar charging was not working well. Had to leave Saturday afternoon, as we were afraid that by Sunday we wouldn’t have enough power to close up and hook up. Red Feather Lakes village reminded me of an old western town, and the surrounding lakes and scenery were beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Weekend Trip to Little Cabin with a view
We stayed at Linda's little cabin from Saturday to Sunday and it was absolutely beautiful. It exceeded our expectations. Views of the mountains are amazing, the sky was so clear at night, and you can see all the stars. The cabin itself is adorable; she has everything you could need in it. Linda is so sweet, we got caught in a thunderstorm while out exploring and she dried our clothes and sneakers for us. She brought us fresh cookies and coffee. We would absolutely recommend this place; time slows down there. It was such a nice break from the everyday hustle and bustle. We will be back and next time for longer than one night :)

Great little spot. Minutes from downtown red feathers lake. Cozy little spot, clean and quiet. Kim and Glen were really helpful with getting me a pass to fish the private lakes. Nice little spot we will be back.
