Amenities at the park include WiFi, fire pits, firewood, shower and restroom facilities, picnic areas, trash services and a RV dump station available for $15. Visitors can take advantage of the various outdoor activities such as basketball, hiking, biking and stargazing. Our campers enjoy our quiet solitude - we're not located along a busy noisy highway! Jim and I established our place in 1983. We produced team ropings and barrel racing jackpots for nearly 40 years - we no longer produce rodeo events (due to health). In 2017, we decided to share our property with campers - we have cherished each and every moment - we have made so many friends!  From the JMA Campground, it is 50 miles to Thermopolis (hot springs, whitewater rafting, fishing, buffalo, dinosaur museum, etc.); 60 miles to the National Military Museum in Dubois; 130 miles to the South Entrance of Grand Teton National Park; 45 miles to Lander; 70 miles to South Pass City - many other local attractions.

It depends on which gate you enter. The southern gate through the Tetons is about a three-hour drive, whereas the eastern gate is about a 3 hour and 45-minute drive. Keep in mind this is just the distance to the gates. Yellowstone is a massive park and it can take time to drive from the gates to the geysers, not to mention wildlife traffic delays. -Are there bears in the RV park? No, there are no bears in our RV Park. We have visiting deer and occasional beavers but no bears. There are bears however in the surrounding mountains, especially in the higher elevations. -Cell Service? There is actually a Verizon tower in town. Most sizable towns you pass will have cell service, but expect that service to drop once you leave. Wyoming is beautiful, put your phone to the side and enjoy our scenery, our eateries and our wildlife! -I heard a loud siren! Lander has a volunteer fire department. The siren you hear is the fire whistle calling out our fire department. -Can your park fit my rig? Motor homes are getting bigger and bigger every year. Our park has 50 foot and 70-foot pull-throughs. Nearly all of our pull-through sites have trees. Our best view sites are 60 foot back in/pull in and they do not have trees. We do have one 80 foot back in site as well. -When does your park close? Our park is actually open year-round and the managers live onsite to assist our guests needs. While the park is always open, the office is closed occasionally on some holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, ect. We close the office when we take our short vacations during the winter. -How far are you from town? We are located on a small hill that overlooks Lander City and Lander valley. It is a 3 -5 minute drive into town, or a 20 minute walk. -What time is check in/check out? Check in begins at 2 pm. Check out is at 11:00 am. You can request a late check out time of 12:30 pm which we will do our best to accommodate. -Do you allow pets? Yes we do allow pets. We understand your furry friends are family members so why leave them behind on your exciting adventure? All pets must remain under your supervision and on a leash/fenced in at all times. Lander is a beautiful town with lots of wildlife and these rules are for your dear pet's safety.

A 10 x 32 tiny cabin conveniently located 1 mile off paved Hwy 585. Our working ranch has cattle, goats, and horses. Beautiful scenery with frequent sightings of elk, deer, and turkeys. This unique cabin features: WIFI, TV with DVD player only, microwave, retro fridge, bathroom with shower, twin bunk beds, and a queen bed. We originally decided to book this place just to break up our road trip, and if I am being completely honest, we chose it solely because of how creepy the photos looked! We were expecting a very specific kind of vibe, but when we arrived, we were blown away by how incredibly homey and welcoming it actually was. The detail of the decorations in person was absolutely incredible. I know the pictures online might make it look a certain way, but I promise you that both the cabin and the house are beautiful. You will not have a bad time when you're staying at this place... I can promise you that. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Wagon Box RV And Campground

This campsite was great! It had the convenience of not setting up your own tent or sleeping bags, but had a regular camping feel at the same time. The bus we stayed in was not hooked up to water or electricity, but had service and the communal shower/bathroom. The goats, chickens, and horses on the property were a fun site to see when walking around the camp! The communal bathrooms were clean and well functioning. We will definitely be coming back here!

This was one of our favorite stops on our cross country trip. Paulette was an awesome host. She has everything you need for your stay. It is such a cool place to stay. So much history! My favorite were the free range bunnies and the horses. Highly recommend.

The Cabin was perfect for my husband and I while traveling through the area for our anniversary. It was a warm few days, however the air conditioner kept it nice and cool. The bathroom and shower house was exceptionally clean for a campground with several guests. If we are in the area again we would definitely stay again.

This was a great secluded spot. You have the camper all to yourself. Inside there is a fridge and some cooking appliances and cooking wear. This was a quick stop for me so I was in and out. Quiet, all to yourself. If thats what you want for an inexpensive visit that sign yourself up. Just be aware there is a daily long gravel road in order to make it to the camper.

This cabin was exactly as advertised. I was super pleased that they accommodated our check in and check out times even though the office was not open at the times we arrived and left. The bathrooms were clean (we only stayed one night and did not use showers). I would stay here again.

We stayed in the horse trailer! It was very cute, quiet and warm! Christine was very nice and welcoming and let us shower inside! The outdoor kitchen was amazing even with it being out of season. Id definitely recommend this for a stop! The animals were also very fun to pet and play with. Will definitely come back again!

Cute lil cabin. Given it's on a working ranch, I thought it'd be a bit cleaner - lots of dead moths inside. Land and sunset were gorgeous. the owners were super nice and the homemade lemon Greek yogurt and beef jerky were absolutely delicious.

We loved everything. I am camping with small children (3 and 5). We arrived after dark but our host called us before sunset to make sure we knew how to get to the tipi. I appreciate the call-out in the description that sometimes people ask to peek inside because it wasn't weird when someone did ask the following morning :) The propane fire pit in the center warmed the whole tent up VERY quickly. The beds were comfortable and it was so amazing to have seating and warm blankets and so much space. We would absolutely return if we're back in the area.
