Hi there!
We have 5 yurts spread across our 40 acres with each yurt having lots of individual space and privacy. We hand built our yurts from scratch using wood from our land and local lumber, as well as sewing all the vinyl ourselves. The yurts are almost completely locally sourced, everything was handmade by us, and sustainably sourced. We are really excited to share the land we love with folks from near and far.
Your yurt is equipped with a full sized futon, two burner stove kitchen with all cooking appliances and utensils, 2 gallons of fresh drinking water (as well as oil, salt, pep, coffee, and tea all provided), a small dining table with chairs, and an outdoor fire pit.
A short 7 min drive from our property is beautiful Little Sand Bay beach. This free, public use National Park beach is gorgeous with views of Sand and York Islands, great swimming spots, $2.00 hot showers, and kayak launch.
Important things to note about your yurt site! The access to our property is via a long dirt road, this road is accessible for all vehicles but it is about a 2min drive through the woods to get to the yurt sites. Once you arrive on the property your yurt is a 2-4min (depending on which yurt you choose) hike up a hill from the parking area. I recommend backpacking in your items. Wheely coolers and bags will not enjoy the terrain. The Portapotty is located at the parking area as well. That being said, a little bit of walking will be involved in your stay :) If you love walking you are in luck and can explore the trails on the property!

Experience upscale camping–Glamping in the Forested Hills of Lake Superior. Sailor Springs is a small three-site campground located just two miles outside of the picturesque tourist town of Bayfield, WI. 2023 will be our first year of operation and we’re excited to host campers on the property and provide a unique camping experience.
The campground is spread out over 5 acres of forest that you’ll hike into from Bresette Hill Road. After parking at the trailhead, you’ll gather your bags and hike into your glamping site. The trail winds through the woods, leading you first to a valley where the seasonal Clark Creek runs through in the spring. The first two campsites are on the other side of this valley. The trail can be steep in spots and requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility to reach the secluded campsites. The third site is a bit farther into the forest, the little A-frame cabin, Anchor sits on the edge of the spring-fed Brickyard Creek that flows year-round.
We have many plans for the property and depending on when you stay, the campground will be in various stages of development. The campsites, trailhead / parking area, and trails are scheduled to be completed in early spring. We hope to add amenities such as a camp sauna and screened-in gazebo later in the 2024 summer / fall. Welcome to our little retreat in the Northwoods of Wisconsin! We've got 24 acres of mostly Aspen Forest with oaks and maples. There's around 3km trails and a seasonal stream. We're located just 15 minutes from Lake Superior and Lake Nebagamon for fishing, swimming, and boating and 20 minutes from the twin ports of Superior and Duluth. Weekend Trip to Amnicon Adventures & Retreats
I really enjoyed this campsite, it has truly breathtaking views of the lake and you can’t beat a beach fire! It was very peaceful, even with the other cabins being occupied. We ended up arriving later than planned so it was dark, and still the maps, signs, and trails were very easy to follow. The lodge with the showers and sauna is a HUGE bonus. The cabin and outhouse were very well maintained and very clean, my entire group commented their enthusiasm on that. Overall a great spot and I can’t wait to plan another trip back!

I had the best time staying here with my dog. The area is far enough away from things that it can be deafeningly quiet at night. Had all the supplies I needed just like advertised. All yurts were reserved and I only saw the neighboring folks as they walked to their car. Never heard anyone! Truly a peaceful little spot and you can tell the yurts were made very well. 10/10 coming back and going to have friends rent the other yurts for a fun weekend. I had just enough cell service to make a call in the parking area, and enough to send and receive texts at the yurt.

Great place to stay! All necessities provided (even coffee and tea)! Peaceful, quiet, and tranquil even though other yurts were nearby you’d never know it. There was a cart at the bottom of the hill for toting your supplies, which was incredibly handy. Lots of downed trees nearby for firewood.

This place is just spectacular. It was our second time and we enjoyed it even more this time around! I love how secluded and alone we felt the whole time, having that big beach to ourselves was incredible. Nothing beats having a fire on the shore of Lake Superior with a killer sunset in the background. Can't thank you all enough! See you next time.

Little slice of Heaven! The host has a very kind and caring vibe, quick to respond to messages and checked in to make sure we were comfortable or needed anything a couple times, which was perfect! Anytime we talked, in person or messages, it felt calm and comfortable. Easy to talk to! It's a great spot for some rustic glamping, it was great for my family and our dog! We will be checking availability if we're in the area again! It's not a fancy camper, it's not new, it's well loved, taken care of and comfortable! The campsite has a cozy feel, surrounded by nature and easy to find. I loved the homemade rock ring around the fire, it was perfect for our cooking set up we bring with us camping! I prefer camp fire cooking but did use the stove top once and had no issues. A sink just big enough to wash dishes, a fridge big enough for 3+ days of food and snacks, the bathroom is tight (part of a small camper) but the toilet works well, a screened in area was so nice, we had very few bugs sneak into the camper! Space for our things but had things like dishes and utensils supplied. We also used the heater one night with no issues. If you're looking for a spot to call home base and don't mind a small, well loved camper, you'll enjoy it here! It's close to state parks, beaches, river spots, there's so many adventures close by! We didn't have time to check out their trails... They looked nice from camp though and it's on the list if we make another trip over! Trip well spent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Magical experience sleeping here and being close to such a beautiful place! Staying in the yurt was just what we needed for a get away. Loved the rustic touches, really helped us feel connected to nature and relaxed. There are also lots of delicious restaurants close by that we enjoyed trying. Would highly recommend this stay. The views of Lake Superior were spectacular! Loved the experience of a yurt, so cute and very comfortable accommodations.

This little off-grid yurt was the perfect upgrade from tent camping for my husband and I. The proximity to Lake Superior was the main draw; seeing the sea caves in the summer was a first for us. The yurt was clean and tidy, and I enjoyed the provided tea selection. Excited to visit again later in the season to do more hiking and exploring.
