Other features also remain that can be used: a sliding rock waterfall which is a short hike within the campground property, moderate trails for hiking, and mountain biking running from the waterfall through the back of the property (these trails are mountainous, so please enter at your own risk), fruit trees, blueberry bushes, small trout pond, a playground, an open meadow for star gazing, and our friendly neighborhood duck, Howard. (He hangs by the pond and accepts treats!) You are welcome to explore all these features, but please be mindful and respectful of residents and guests, do not enter or explore the greenhouses or gardens, and remain aware that this is mountainous terrain with inherent risks.This is a rustic property in the forest, centrally located to all the area has to offer. There are some good shops, restaurants & our favorite hardware store!! Downtown Marshall is also close, about 25 minutes and has a lot to offer! Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river. Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you! Full disclosure: We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

We are currently rehabilitating the 1700's era one room schoolhouse at the front corner of our land as well. This farm is full of memories, hard work, and is absolutely stunning. Your hosts on-site are Brent and Rita Kennedy, and they are famous for spoiling our guests rotten. They can give you tours of the farm, some in-season eggs and veggies as they have available, and even throw in some petting opportunities. This camping experience takes place on a 200+ year old farm. We currently offer multiple camping options, most of which are only accessible by either all-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicles.  The first location (along the main road) is solely for RVs or travel trailers (TT). The other camping locations are for tent camping, and much smaller/narrower and rugged RV/TT with a 4-wheel drive towing vehicle. Daniel and Cherith Kennedy purchased this 164-acre farm in 2014, and Daniel's parents, Brent Rita Kennedy, purchased the 1800's era farmhouse from Daniel and Cherith a couple years later. Together, we have transformed this farm back into a working farm with hay fields, cattle, donkeys, goats, sheep, chickens and any other critters we buy or rescue. We are currently rehabilitating the 1700's era one room schoolhouse at the front corner of our land as well. This farm is full of memories, hard work, and is absolutely stunning. Your hosts on-site are Brent and Rita Kennedy, and they are famous for spoiling our guests rotten. They can give you tours of the farm, some in-season eggs and veggies as they have available, and even throw in some petting opportunities. They love having visitors and are sure to make your trip memorable. Super unique little yurt camp out in the NC Blue Ridge. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy glamping experience that's a very affordable way to stay in the area really nearby Little Switzerland, Linville, Grandfather mountain, etc..The property itself still feels remote as it is situated on the side of a nearby mountain. That being said, be prepared to drive carefully on the property, especially if you have a smaller car, as the drive is a bit rugged. Very doable even in our little hybrid 2 seater, but take your time in inclement weather (even in early December, we still had a lovely time, and enjoyed the tranquility). Would totally return if we come back through the area!

This campground was very easy to find and right off Rt. 26. Probably the quickest access we've ever had. The temps got cold, and David was great about warning that my water hose might freeze up. It was pretty quiet at the campground, I never got the chance to speak with any of the other campers. We were there visiting relatives for Thanksgiving and this fit the bill perfectly.

The Artist Studio was the perfect spot to stay on a solo road trip from Eastern Virginia to Nashville. The property was stunning and the studio was clean & cozy. Outstanding location 10 min from downtown Johnson City. The host, Pat, left delicious baked goods in the fridge of the studio. My highlight of the stay was enjoying a fresh baked good & coffee in the sun room overlooking the pond. Highly recommend!

My family and I loved this glamping experience! The yurt was spacious and cozy, and the beds were super comfortable and it was easy to find/navigate to. The space had all the amenities and supplies you need on site, which made packing a breeze. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and stargazing, the mountain views from the deck, and playing the games provided. Would definitely recommend this experience!

The view is beautiful as everybody else said. There's also plenty of space and he was nice enough to leave behind a decent pack of logs for the campfire. There are a few things that some people might consider downsides that I didn't see listed in the reviews. Though it isn't busy, the campsite is pretty close to the road. Maybe 30ft or so. While I was there, one of the neighbors happened to be doing some construction well into the night and two neighbors have pretty persistent outside dogs. The owner (I'm guessing) showed up during one of the days to do some construction on a cabin he's building a little bit further down the hill (great spot for a cabin). Though he left around sundown. Again, beautiful site and I'm greatful to have spent the weekend there, just wanted to share some details.

I can’t say enough about how great this place is! The property is beautiful, and also secure. I felt safe being there. The different sites are far enough from one another that you don’t feel like you’re there with anyone or on top of each other. The yurt itself (I stayed in the Gnome) was clean and well kept, had every thing I could need or want. It was comfortable and felt very cozy on the chilly nights. Sitting on the deck for breakfast and dinner was perfect. The view is beyond words! Having utensils, propane heat, electricity for basics like charging electronics, and everything I need for cooking was perfect. Add on top of that the little additional things like games, towels, a little rechargeable and portable lamp, and cleaning supplies, this place was perfect! Even if I never left the property it was an amazing vacation with great hiking and a beautiful serene escape. My dogs both loved being able to explore off leash and I never felt like they were unsafe. I’m already planning my trip back next fall with my entire family!

When we arrived, our campsite #3 wasn't available so we were upgraded to a larger, more private site #5. Water pressure and wifi were great. The little nature trail was a great walk for our dog. We could hear the road noise at night since we did not have our A/C running due to the chilly weather. When the heat did run, we heard nothing. If coming during the colder months, I would bring a white noise machine. Creekside is conveniently located to Asheville's attractions.

Absolutely stunning views. Mostly very quiet with some quaint country sounds like an occasional donkey or hound dog. Dead end road so almost no traffic. We had our 13 foot camper pulled by a mid sized truck so it took some maneuvering to get into place. The " exit" drive has deep ruts so its better to go in and out from the " entrance" drive.
