Welcome to Holistic Life Farm!
We are a working homestead and delight in sharing our daily experience and offer visits with our sheep, cows and chickens.
Holistic Life Farm offers a 1 dry tent site for up to 12 people, a quaint hideaway cabin, and a glamped out 16x20 canvas tent with a wood stove. We also offer 1 RV site in our parking area.
Stop on your way to Astoria and the coast and make this your destination. Find us about 30 minutes off I-5 freeway across the Longview bridge or 45 minutes east of Astoria. Our farm sits about 5 miles off Highway 30 to the north.
We can direct you to hiking and mountain biking trails in the area (Beaver Falls trailhead is 5 miles from our farm). There is a motor boat launch in the town of Clatskanie, with access to Columbia River.
There is also a launch in the city park for kayaking. The Zen Monastery is just 5 miles away. Long Beach, WA is across the Columbia River via the Astoria Bridge. Lounging about the homestead works too.

There is a park with swimming, fishing and hiking along the Skookumchuck river within a mile of the farm, in addition to the natural beauty found right here at home. We enjoy bird watching, exploring our forest, and relaxing around a fire when we aren't working on the farm.
Seasonal Strawberries and pastured poultry are our specialties, and we offer a wide variety of veggies and fruits. Farm fresh eggs are almost always available and we have organic meats to purchase and grill.

Our Garden & Galaxy Retreat in Portland, OR is a stunner. It is built with salvaged materials from nearby painted lady Victorian home that are the pillars at the entrance and the siding is from a nearby barn. The sliding door as you enter is a salvaged US Federal Building Door that glides on barn rails and it has the original mail slot in the door. The retreat is an indoor/outdoor experience as there are two walls that feature beveled shutters that open and the roof is a see through experience to watch the birds, wildlife and stars. The queen bed is super comfortable and there is a small desk filled with maps of nearby places to play. There is a small cabinet outfitted with slippers to slip on and take the path to the garden pergola - the swinging twin bed or the main house. Follow us at @gardengalaxypdx
My home for the last 34 years; I have put care, love and abundance in creating a magical garden with surprises throughout. My desire to provide charm and delight has driven most of the details that also includes a pergola that has a swinging twin bed and chairs to gather and chat. There is gorgeous outdoor lighting for at night and hanging chandelier at night surrounded in the deep of summer with mature jasmine bushes that waft their sweet scent from May into September.

There is an outdoor fridge in the garden for your use and we provide beverages and creamer for coffee or tea provided in the room for your enjoyment.

The A frame was very cute. There was a small tear in the quilt blanket so the host offered us to stay in the glamping tent at no extra charge. Both places were great and private.

The little A-frame structure was perfect for my needs and stood up well to some pretty blustery weather on my first day. It takes a minute to locate the structure if you arrive in the dark and rain, as I did, but once I was oriented, all was well. Definitely recommend this instead of a tent if you're coming at a time of year when the weather is a bit unpredictable.

Cydnie and Kim are wonderful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. The farm and tents are well-maintained, clean, and very kid-friendly, making it perfect for families. There are plenty of activities for children, and the surroundings are safe and inviting. The hosts are attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, making our stay comfortable and memorable. We truly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, fresh air, and the chance to connect with nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly getaway!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay soooo much . We drove up from Seattle to explore Astoria/seaside . We arrived a little late and Paul reassured us that was okay last minute we let them know we’d like the fire pit and they had the propane ready to go for us when we arrived . The drive up wasn’t bad and it was easy to find with gps .The cabin we stayed in was very cozy, cute and perfect sized for us two , they also have wagons to get our things from the car to the cabin with ease cabin faced a secluded area and we really appreciated it . We also had service the whole time total plus . 10/10 recommend and we will be back

This little cabin was perfect for our little getaway. It’s about 50 min from the coast. It was very quiet with the occasional moos from nearby cows, which we didn’t mind. We got to say hi to the cows in the morning! The window wall opens up, which we opened in the morning and enjoyed the fresh air with our breakfast. Paul was incredibly accommodating and friendly and shared some of his freshly grown vegetables in the morning. We can’t wait to visit again!

The grounds of the property are beautiful, the smell of fresh honeysuckle bask the aroma of the entryway into the backyard followed by such awesome outdoor area for relaxing!

Weekend Trip to Garden & Galaxy PDX Urban Retreat
If you want to feel like you're not in the city yet still be close to all the fun, this is the place. Check in was easy. The room is small and cozy and the bed was so comfortable. The yard filled with sweet smelling flowers, lights and a hanging bed was the perfect way to settle in for the night. The hosts made us coffee in the morning and we got to meet their adorable puppy! I felt like home here!

Ahhhhh!!!! The farm was serene and peaceful. Each site wasn’t too far from the next but we still felt like we had the entire place to ourselves! This a frame cabin …… impeccable. I will be returning. It is a wide open field with a precious barn kitty and barn pup that welcomed us. Super easy instructions. Go go go!!!!

The hatch was a neat feature. Beds were comfy, no need for sleeping pads. Would definitely recommend getting there in daylight as the cabin can be a little hard to find at night! But it was super cozy, and the barn cats were delightful.

Stayed here on our road trip in-between Seattle and Tillamook. Beautiful property (and drive up to it). Gorgeous sunsets. Cutest little A-frame lodging that feels very private. Compostable bathroom/site a bit of a walk but worth it.

We enjoyed our stay. The locations is remote enough to spend time away from the busy city life. The cabin was a perfect size for two. Its nicely nestled in the back area and makes it feel private. The hosts were available if needed. The views were beautiful. A great spot for all explores.

I really liked this cabin style! It was closer to the bathrooms than the tent camping which was a plus. The beds were more comfortable than my sleeping pad so that’s a plus just don’t forget sleeping bags/ blankets and pillows. Also bring lights! 10/10 book it if you can!
