This magical, 40-acre, cultivated ecosystem, will wrap around you and leave you enchanted. Enjoy this peaceful, country retreat, as a place to rest and reconnect with the earth and yourself.
This is a great place to stop for the night, but one day might not be enough to meander the many paths, drink tea harvested from the herb garden, sit on a bench talking to ancient Maple trees, walk the stone labyrinth, wander the sacred Grove, and camp under the stars.
There's so much to enjoy here, from the fragrant rose gardens to the orchards and sheep meadows. Spend the morning sipping tea with a book in the greenhouse, an afternoon wandering the many wooded trails, preparing dinner with vegetables grown from the garden, and enjoying the evening watching the moon and stars come up from the observatory platform. You could take a guided tour of the land and animals, or join one of the many workshops hosted here, such as learning to spin yarn from our herd of Icelandic sheep or take an introduction class to Permaculture. Bring your knitting, friends, or just a favorite book, and spend a few days in this tranquil destination, as this land has something to offer everyone.

This is a working farm, we have animals, dirt, sticks, bugs, poop, and lots of opportunities to "connect" with Nature. All of our amenities are shared spaces, designed to foster community. You will find signs posted around the property with clear communication. All of our lodgings are off-grid with no electricity or running water. Water, electricity, and WIFI are available in the shared kitchen, garden, cafe, and lounging areas. Please bring battery-operated lights, bedding, and a pillow, unless otherwise noted.
Amenities include: shower house, bathhouse, large semi-commercial kitchen, library, cafe, fiber studio, yarn shop, plenty of outdoor seating, safe potable water, 2 regularly maintained portable toilets, hand washing station, 2 charcoal/wood barbeques
Check-in is 4-8 pm

Weekend Trip to Compass Rose Farms
If you like communal-style arrangements with a strong sense of restorative and connection with the land, this place is great. I enjoyed the dried herbs for mixing custom tea blends, community gathering spaces, meandering trail through the forest and wetlands, and incredible flower garden and orchard. The vintage camper itself was clean and comfortable, with good mattress and pillows. Kateen is also a great host, meeting us and providing a small tour at the start. Portable toilets are not my favorite, but they were well-kept, with a hand-washing sink with soap available. I could see coming back and staying for more than one night and would recommend to others.

Amazing farm stay! Kateen has the most beautiful farm and it felt like living in a magical fairyland. Flowers and lush green plants in every direction. Everything in the common spaces and campers are clean and well maintained. The bed was a little creaky but it was comfortable and I slept very well. I felt extremely safe and comfortable. It was super easy to get to Port Townsend from the property, I will absolutely come back!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The energy there is so revitalizing I instantly felt my breathe deepen upon arrival. It is clear how much care goes into this special place. All the amenities needed were there and clearly available. Kateen is a delight. Staying in Pearl was like a sweet hug. She was very clean and cozy.

This hipcamp is truly special! Kateen has created a place that reflects her deep respect and reverence for the land she stewards. She was welcoming and went above and beyond what I’ve ever experienced from a host. The details throughout every corner of the property, from meditation spots to the kitchen and library, show just how thoughtfully everything has been curated and how much care and intention went into this space. Staying here was an experience I won’t forget and I will most certainly be returning!

I stayed in one of the campers for five nights while attending a dance retreat in Port Townsend. This place was just lovely all around. Hot outdoor(ish) shower & gorgeous vegetable/flower/fruit farm you can harvest from. There's poop everywhere because it's a farm but it wasn't a problem, and I didn't have any trouble with the geese and turkeys. Sweet tea room, library, greenhouses, foot soak.... total gem.

When I pulled up to the farm I was shocked at how gorgeous it was, and spent the following few days finding a massive dose of restorative peace and quiet. Kateen has created such a beautiful place with countless thoughtful details, and the sleeps that I had in my little caravan (and the day naps in the hammocks by the forest) were as comfy as can be. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow, such a beautiful spot that needs to be seen to be believed! It's a long drive to the site, but Kateen is so lovely and welcoming. The camper didn't have any electricity or water, so be sure to plan ahead. All of the features of the site are spectacular, only bathroom is a port-o-potty, but it has a nice sink area by it. Shower was elaborate, but the water wasn't hot. Kitchen was fantastic, so many other features to explore. It's a shame I only booked one night. Next time I'll be booking for a lot longer.

Weekend Trip to Compass Rose Farms
I stayed one night in the trailer Aloha. The farm is easy to find and full of interesting accommodations like the big kitchen, the small wool shop, the soaking tub for your feet. The roaming geese, ducks and turkeys were always fun, and I saw a mommy quail and her chicks roaming the rows of flowers. I liked the veggie garden and picked cherries and oh so many flowers (and bees), and hummers.
Logistically there is nothing in the trailers but a bed. No electricity and all “amenities” are disconnected or removed.
The outdoor shower with the instant hot water was really nice, and I did use the foot soaking tub with herbs from the garden.
If you stay in Aloha do not lock the door. You have to close it because it doesn’t have a screen, but the lock sticks

I had such a lovely time at this farm stay! The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, surrounded by nature and fresh air. The accommodation was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed.

Cute and peaceful spot accessible to a variety of Peninsula attractions. Vintage trailers are cute and fairly clean, but maybe not for folks with dust or mold allergies just because they are old. Kateen is friendly and we enjoyed exploring the farm and seeing the animals and eating from the gardens.
