While our 11 acres feels very secluded, we are just 3 miles from historic downtown and 10 minutes from the freeway and shopping. An accessible oasis! There is a park with swimming, fishing and hiking along the Skookumchuck river within a mile of the farm, in addition to the natural beauty found right here at home. We enjoy bird watching, exploring our forest, and relaxing around a fire when we aren't working on the farm. My family bought this property from a wonderful man renowned in the world of plant pathology. My father once asked him, "George, what is the secret to a long and happy life?" George took a deep breath and exhaled. He smiled, a twinkle in his eye, and said, "Randy, (dramatic pause), don't worry, {another lengthy pause) don't hurry." We are fortunate to live here, and we want to share the beauty with you. Please stay here and take a moment free of worry and free of hurry. About the hosts: Camas and her father, Randy, co-host this property. One or both will be onsite at all times should any issue arise. Please message if you need a last-minute booking and it appears to be blocked. We can't do an "instant book," but there's always a possibility that we can accommodate you. About the site: This 17-foot 2005 Jay Feather Ultra Lite trailer is clean and cozy - perfect for one or two people. A third person is welcome, but it will likely be a little cramped. The double bed has a memory foam mattress and is made-up with quality sheets. Towels are provided at no extra cost. The kitchen has a 3 burner propane stove and oven, a small fridge, a microwave, and sink. Coffee, tea, tea kettle, French Press, creamer, and sugar are provided, as well as a few dishes, a pot and pan, and utensils. The spring water is sourced directly from our property and filtered, so you can enjoy it from the tap! In my opinion, it's some of the best water around - feel free to fill up before you depart. The site is set back from WA-State Route 106, but only by about 20 yards. There is traffic noise during the day, but it's not too bad, and it is typically pretty quiet at night. Hopefully you enjoy the sounds of wildlife ~ birds, lapping waves, and even a creek add to the experience. A panoramic view of the estuary is one of the best parts of this property. It's dreamy, really. With the tide changing every 6 hours, you just can't get bored. You may fall asleep to tide flats and wake up to what feels like a lake. If you like being on or in the water - bring some kayaks, surf or paddle boards, and some high quality water shoes (never go barefoot!). You will have access to 400 feet of private beach and tide flats. Kayaking is tide dependent - recommendations for paddle times will be in the binder. (Currently closed to harvesting 6/23) If you have your shellfish license, feel free to harvest a few oysters or clams (depending on DOH recommendations) . Be aware - it is a rustic beach, and it is across the highway, so watch for traffic and watch your step on the beach. Our house is within sight of the trailer, but you have to make an effort to see it. From our house, we can only see the parking spot, and due to shrubbery & a shed, we can't hear talking voices, so it is pretty private. We do have 2 very friendly, small dogs who will undoubtedly alert us to your arrival, but they stay on our deck and quiet down right away. A welcome binder and maps will help you get an idea of the area. For a tiny town, Union has a LOT to offer - there are several dining choices within a few miles. Union was even listed in the top 10 "Prettiest Towns in America" in Forbes Magazine in 2009! Learn more about this land: One of a kind view of the Skokomish Estuary and Olympic Mountains. Just 90 minutes from either Portland or Seattle, this cozy glamping site is located on 220 secluded acres of private wilderness along the Chehalis River. Sleep in a cozy queen-size bed! There's propane heat, power, WIFI, and a lovely stone firepit. Come relax, hike, and explore! This wilderness campsite is located down a 2-mile gravel logging road which is steep and bumpy in a few places! Four-wheel drive is recommended in the wettest part of the winter, and please drive carefully any time of the year in whatever vehicle you bring. As a guest, you are free to access any part of the 220-acre property except other campsites (there is currently only one). This listing is located on The Riverbend Preserve, a private nature park, so there is no hunting, fishing, or foraging. Please do not discharge any firearms during your stay. The forest to the west of the Preserve is Washington State land, and on occasion locals go up into the hills to target shoot. In the unlikely event that this happens during your stay, don't be alarmed; the British are *not* coming. This land is a nature preserve with lots of wildlife. You're welcome to bring your pet, but keep small animals close to you as there are coyotes and predatory birds in abundance. Black bears and mountain lions also live in the hills, so please always be cautious while hiking and exploring. If you use AT-T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, or most major carriers you can expect good cell service. Single use or small cellular carriers may have intermittent signal or no signal at all after you leave the City of Chehalis behind. Most important of all, relax and enjoy your stay in this incredibly peaceful and secluded valley. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints!

I keep coming back here because i love to photograph eagles. The camper is so cozy and has everthing needed for a stay. It's also very clean and extremely safe for a solo traveler. Camas, the hipcamp owner, is the best!

Honestly one of the best Hipcamp experiences I've had, I highly recommend! The RV was clean, well maintained and extremely cozy. The views of the estuary were amazing, even with heavy fog and rain. The host was incredibly communicative, and welcoming. I'll definitely come back in the future 😁

10/4/2025-10/5/2025 We were looking for a night away to spend my birthday. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect place for us. This was better than any hotel we could have Chosen. The set up Is perfect. She put so much thought into making our arrival special. From the personalized note/instructions, the flowers, little patio over looking the water to the privacy fence to the easy access to the trailer. The host was very responsive and it was soooooo clean inside. We will definitely be back to enjoy it again!

What an incredible slice of perfection. Camas is an amazing hostess, providing beautiful flowers and welcome treats, fresh fruit from the property, and a safe van place to rejuvenate. The views were spectacular and I counted more than 25 birds during my stay. The final night, Camas was kind enough to let me know the bioluminescence were visible. Pure magic from the shoreline. This is definitely a spot worthy of visiting and returning to.

Had the best glamping trip in Pe Ell with my family—total private preserve with our own swimming hole and no crowds, just us and nature. Our dog loved roaming off-leash the whole weekend. It was super relaxing and honestly an ideal escape from the Labor Day chaos. Huge bonus: Marc (the host) was really responsive, answering questions fast and making sure we felt welcome the whole time. Can’t wait to go back!

I loved the pure tranquility of this place. Really private BUT with all the amenities you would find within a house like fridge, fan, microwave, and more. There is a trail thats about 15 mins or from the tent that leads to a gem of river swimming area that was BEAUTIFUL. The shower and bathroom are right behind the outside of the tent and were nice too. Will def be back when I have the chance.

This was a wonderful place to stay and stargaze! You have the best of both worlds -camping and facilities. Dogs can be off leash as there’s a huge huge meadow for them to play in. No one else was around and it was beautiful. I would definitely go back

Riverbend Preserve is absolutely magical. The meadow was such a peaceful, beautiful location to camp at. We got to witness the fog rolling in late evening and early morning, elk grazing, hawks hunting...it filled our hearts with joy to see wildlife just being wild and being able to just BE. There are paths to explore, a beautiful beach on the river, and we had everything we needed at the tent for a stress-free getaway. There's such diverse vegetation from one corner of the preserve to the other and we can't wait to return to see the changes as the preserve continues to flourish.

It is the first time we have been staying at this cabin. It is a tiny space but it is enough for two people staying. It can fix for couple with small kid with a queen bed and a single bed above. We can cook our meal. It is a quiet and private place. There is a good lake view. The owner, Camas she is very nice person. Before we left, we had a chance to meet her and she gave us a bag of cherry that she picked from her farm. We will come back here one day. Recommend for people who want a quiet and private.

This RV had everything I needed, from a stove & shower to views & solitude. It was easy to drive to hiking trails or beaches nearby. There were fresh flowers on the table that made the space feel so sweet. You can hear cars on the road, so i recommend earplugs for very light sleepers, yet there isn’t a ton of traffic going by. I thought this was perfect for one person and I’d stay here again!

What a perfect little hideaway! Camas has the trailer all fixed up, warm, welcoming and homey. She went above and beyond: fresh flowers, all the supplies of a hotel room, even coffee, creamers, and more. Plus the salt water and mountains! Seals, eagles, herons and more. The road is close by, but still very quiet at night. I can't wait to go back.

Super cute peaceful safe and right down the road from a marina seafood restaurant, cafe and shops. Up the road the main river. Beautiful views of the sound and the mountains. Host is amazingly accommodating. Went out of their way to find us boots to go explore in. Don't need to bring anything!!! Best part! Everything you need is provided and talk about the small touches. Fresh flowers a welcome package and personalized welcome letter with instructions and guidance to all you need on premises and amenities nearby. Would definitely do again. Just wonderful and the price you just can not beat!!!!!

Had an amazing stay here! The hosts were super welcoming and even had a sweet surprise for my birthday, which made it extra special. The views were incredible—saw eagles, seals, and so many birds. Just a really peaceful, beautiful spot. The fire pit was perfect for hanging out at night, and the whole vibe of the place was just relaxing and exactly what I needed. Great hospitality, great scenery, and just an all-around awesome experience. Would definitely come back!
