This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane. The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping. Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have! We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings. Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. (Please note: Although we are a permaculture farm, we are surrounded by both conventional and organic agriculture.) Close to White Pass and the Tieton, Naches and Yakima rivers. The cabin (Cathaus) is part of our local agricultural history. It was built in the 1964 by my grandfather to house migrant workers during apple picking season and that is how it was used until the late 1980s. It is not fancy, but it is cozy. Rural farm camp in Yakima's west valley. This relaxed campsite is bordered by fruit orchards and farms on a very quiet dead end road. Over two acres of field grass surrounding by rolling hills with views of farms, cows, horses, and the eastern foothills of the Cascade mountains. There is a 1/2 acre pond on the camp property with frogs, turtles, wild birds and wild ducks and geese drop in all the time. We live in a beautiful location! The main attraction is the outdoors. The large Ponderosa pines and oak trees surrounding the safari tent fill the air with a scent that some say smells like vanilla. Birds chirp, deer graze, and squirrels gather food throughout the day. Sit on the porch and watch it all happen—it truly is relaxing! I want to mention that the stargazing here is amazing! There’s a winery a short walk away if you have time. If you on Hipcamp you’re probably expecting rustic and this spot delivers.

The 1-bedroom setup in the greenhouse was super cozy, but the gorgeous property completely stole the show with its beautiful pond and so many great spots to take photos. We loved seeing the horses, pigs, and chickens, and grilling up an awesome BBQ made the trip perfect. We will definitely be back!

This property is beautiful! The cabin is rustic but really comfortable. Maria has it well stocked with lots of interesting books. Camping in that area can be challenging because of the nightly wind, so I'm glad I found this place. Short drive to hike at Cowiche canyon which was where I was going. The whole vibe was really nice, I dug it.

Loved the tree house! We had a great stay. It has everything that you would need for a night out in the woods. We would stay again for sure. The only things not in the listing that may be worth sharing: - there are no shades, so do not plan to sleep in -the water for the shower is heated, but not quite warm for a Spring evening -the treehouse is VERY well made. The construction quality is worth noting. -it is hard to distinguish property lines. We took a good walk, but tried to steer clear of what is obviously someone else’s land - a family of about seven deer share the space. So cute! -at night, there are hundreds of red lights down the hill from the windmills, which was kind of cool

I really enjoyed the space. This was a halfway point to get to Great Prosser Balloon Festival by 6a Saturday morning. I picked up a Walmart order then straight to the Cathaus. (We didn’t see the cat). I pulled together a little dinner. Maria had some dishes and utensils but I’d brought my own. I went and sat on the covered area overlooking the apple orchard with my dog. The local winery next door had an evening concert going, so even had a little entertainment. The workers cabin was cute. Nothing too fancy or too shabby. The full size bed was cozy. I’m not a huge fan of foam form pillows but at 4a I discovered one of the bunk beds had a fluffy pillow. Too bad I didn’t check around 9p when I turned in. 🙂 My border collie did well. There was ample lighting once dark to see the path to the outhouse. Plenty of books to browse or read if any guest wants to fill downtime. I enjoyed the location and the basket of homemade goodies to purchase. I guess if I had to provide any feedback, it might be to add some fairy lights maybe around the “kitchen” area. Everyone’s opinion will be different. I tend to like just a little light at night, typically in another room. The cabin was pitch dark when lights were out. I had brought some usb fairy lights with me and honestly I should have left them behind as a gift. Maybe I’ll throw my extra string in the mail to Maria. Thanks for the hospitality! Hope I have the opportunity to visit again.

We had a fantastic time at the treehouse. Great views with the sun setting by Mt Hood, and later stargazing. We would enjoy returning to this hipcamp next year, perhaps to see it in another season.
