If you do attempt to use the toilet please ONLY flush provided RV paper, others will certainly clog this system.

If you like nature, there are many features for you. From hiking to biking, off road access, hunting, or wildlife viewing, Derby Canyon offers it all. Enjoy a day in Leavenworth, the Wenatchee River, mountain bike trail, or a hike in the mountains.
Though most of the area does not receive cell phone service (I have Verizon) we do get service at this site. Located about 5 miles off the county road (High ground clearance and 4x4 vehicles recommended for this forest service road leading to the campsite), cell service will fall off for the first 4 miles, however most people will have service at the site itself. Please PRINT or DOWNLOAD the directions I will email you for OFFLINE use!
For now we are offering this site as a private escape campsite to enjoy the depths of nature in a serene setting. Wood fires are not allowed but we do have a propane firepit available for use free of charge - bring your own propane!

We offer tent camping on-site, as well as group sites. We have a small area, but most of it is shaded and right by the river.

Come camp near the river at a fully-functional whitewater river rafting basecamp!! Our group-style camping area is ideal for small groups of people or couples. We have a total of 4 spots. Spot #1 is our largest spot, suitable for 4 or 5 two-person or three-person tents. Spot #2 is a bit smaller, ideal for up to 3 medium-sized tents. Spots 3 and 4 are suitable for two small to medium-sized tents. Camp spots are next to each other, so there's not a lot of "wild forest camping" here. We refer to it as urban camping. All spots are level and graveled. Please be aware that there is some traffic noise in the area, as we are near Highway 2. There are also picnic tables in the camping area for all campers to use as well as several hammocks.. Access to the river is very nearby. Weekend camping is limited, and you may occasionally hear the sound of a train whistle. WiFi and a fire pit are included, as well as on-site port-a-potties. Hot outdoor showers are also on-site and available to all rafters and campers. There is a large communal fire pit, but no individual campfire pits; however, the option is to bring a propane stand-alone fire pit. Fires are allowed in April, May, and June; the fire ban starts on July 1st due to wildfire concerns.
No smoking and children are OK as long as they are kept under control and monitored at all times. Our property features potable water, on-site outdoor showers, and a foot-operated hand wash station. Our camping area is somewhat small and does not have grass, but it is graveled. Please be respectful of our neighbors and other campers by keeping your music at a low to medium volume. Please bring a photo ID and a credit card to complete our camper registration form. Additionally, we are a river rafting company, so we may not have anyone present when you arrive - don't worry, we are likely on the river and will return soon!

We had a great visit on Renato’s land. It was so beautiful and we had the place to ourselves! We did a wine tasting with Renato and his wine is delicious! It was wonderful hearing the story of his winery and learn about his love for wine making. Our dogs had so much fun playing fetch on our site. The spots are huge with plenty of room for pets and kids to run around and explore! Beautiful views of the valley to wake up to. Thank you for hosting us Renato!

Don's space was a decent place to spend a quick night while we were at an event in Leavenworth. Directions were clear and the site was tidy. It's located on his basecamp for river rafting, so it's convenient for a quick night or two, but wouldn't be intended for private relaxation. The white noise from the river and wind was great! The traffic noise isn't disturbing, and the train only went by once.

We liked this site, it was a gravel road getting here which can be dusty. We were the only campers so it was quiet and we could see the stars. The Outhouse was clean and not smelly. The host greeted us and was friendly and gave us pointers for places to stop in town.

Don is super kind and even though he was not there he was quick to answer the phone anytime we had questions. Cute little place that we fortunately got to ourselves :) we slept on hammocks one night, which was super fun. The train noises aren’t that bad and neither was the interstate across the river, the river flowing makes up for it. I would definitely recommend this place for a group, we were just a group of girls and we felt totally safe here.

I wish we could’ve stayed for more than one night at Renato’s farm! The site was very quiet and we were able to see the stars well at night.
He accommodated us the following morning to a delicious tasting in a stucco tasting room that he built himself. The wines had a nice minerality to them, and we purchased a couple of bottles. Highly recommended if you are a fan of red wine wines and/or stargazing 🔭 🍷

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Renato’s vineyard in Palisades, WA. From the moment we arrived, Renato was a warm and welcoming host who made us feel right at home. One of the highlights was a wine tasting featuring selections from his own vineyard — a truly unique experience made even more memorable by hearing Renato's fascinating personal story.
The campground itself is beautifully nestled in a scenic canyon, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting. We appreciated the convenient power and water hook-ups, and the entire area was spacious, clean, and very well maintained.
This place is a true hidden gem, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene and special getaway — we’ll definitely be spreading the word!

I really enjoyed the peace and quiet that Katie's Oasis provided. I sat under the trees in the evening, just watching the GIANT dragonflies dart around, eating the mosquitoes. Katie was very welcoming, and takes a lot of pride in her land. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area. The gravel road was well maintained as well.

Arriving at the vineyard was a little jarring because it wasn’t what I expected. But after setting up camp, and taking in the beautiful views of the peaceful valley we went up and had a little wine tasting with Renato. His personality and passion for his wine shine through the flavors and his explanations. We stayed 2 nights and that experience made the whole stay worth it. Bonus points for Douglas Creek and its waterfalls and swimming holes a few miles down the road.

A very spacious spot with cool amenities! We unfortunately couldn't get the shower to work, but the thought was nice. Not super private as it's next to a road, so we saw mountain bikers, ATV's, and vehicles passing throughout the day. A LOT of dust. Locating the site would also be easier if the "Derby Canyon Retreat" sign was mentioned.
The propane fire pit was a godsend, though!! And it was so nice to be able to wash our hands in the sink. We overall had a great time!
