July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS. No Side by Sides (UTV's), dirt bikes, or ATV's allowed to be rallied on the property. We can suggest close spots to rally. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River. Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow. Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. It originally had a wood stove but it was always to hot so we replaced it with an electric heater and at the same time remodeled the interior. It is very comfortable for two to three people as it only has the bunk beds, microwave, small closet and dining table with 4 chairs including a rocker and a cabinet with pots, pans and silverware for your convenience. Please consider this luxurious tent camping as there is no heat source in the hut, no electricity or running water. Please bring lanterns, flashlights, headlamps etc. The futon is a queen size and I can provide sheets and bedding but prefer you bring your own if possible as we have no laundry facilities on the ranch. ***There is a very limited supply of potable water on the property so you are required to pack in your drinking and cooking water. Washing and shower water is provided.*** In the early spring and late fall we cover the screened walls of the hut with clear window plastic so that the nights are not very cold inside the screen house. We provide a propane buddy heater that is safe for indoor use to help keep the space warm for you!! A hot water shower with equally impressive views is close to the straw house but still as private as you need it to be. Once owned by the Lael family (whom the road is named after), this land supported lots of horses in it's past. The Lael family homsteaded this area, raising horses on their acerage and the original Lael house is still standing on the lower section of the property. Old and beautiful apple, plum, cherry and pear trees still thrive in the orchard they planted along with massive willow trees. I'm honored to continue the Lael's love for the equine with my own herd of horses. Horseback riding is available upon request and for an additional fee of $75 per person for a ride.

What a great setup! All the campsites are well marked and easy to get to, even in the dark. It’s a great setup to bring multiple families who want to share a camping experience but have your own space for a person camp experience. Kara the camp host was very good at responding to communication and let my boys and I enjoy some peace and quiet together. The bathroom was cleans and well stocked. We had a blast and would love to come back again!

I just wanted to take a moment to share how incredible our stay was. This was our second visit at such a remarkable place and we decided to share it with our entire family! (which only goes to show how amazing our first trip was!!) From the moment we arrived, Jane and John went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We decided to have our baby shower here to welcome our son Wolfgang to the pack! Upon arrival Jane & John didn't just welcome us, they made us feel like family. They even set up two canopies for the rain, ensuring we could still celebrate comfortably, which we did! It's rare to find people who genuinely care about your experience the way they do. Everything about the campsite reflected their hard work and dedication to a clean, organized, and beautifully maintained campground, and the hospitality is like no other. This was a fun experience! We go to Hidden Acres for u-pick every year and never thought to camp there. So happy we did this time! Our kiddos and pups (on-leash of course; pups not kids!) loved exploring the orchards by moonlight, waking up with the animals in the crisp morning, and slept so well in the country air. Because we could pick our spot, all the campers felt quite secluded and like we had the place to ourselves. Even though we had our own trailer having access to a real washroom and an outside shower was a treat. Thanks to the whole team at Hidden Acres for giving us an experience that we come back for every year!

We love the lack of marked sites - just find your patch of land away from others and settle in. You can choose orchard or pumpkin field vibes. The farm store is great, with lots of great artisan foods. Try the breakfast pastries! In the fall the apples are amazing. On a school day you might see a field trip of kids in the play areas or stomping through the fields looking for pumpkins. A few other things: Cell service (we're AT&T) was sometimes okay for streaming, but sometimes switched to a band with no data. It was better at night. The shower is outdoors, open to the sky. Plenty of hot water. The handles are reversed - hot is on the right. Five bucks is a bit steep for a shower, but when you've been boondocking a while, it can be worth it. If you need more water, you can fill containers at an outdoor sink near the store. Across the road from the entrance is The Big Barn, a brewery with good beer, food truck, and live music out on the lawn. Nice atmosphere - we went two afternoons in a row.

As a mom who often camps alone with the kids, I’m particular about where we will stay. Hidden Acres felt very safe, welcoming, and the kids loved the little playground area. I appreciated that staff were always a short walk away and being that they live on the property, I felt confident I could easily call if needed. The highlight of our visit was the kids being able to run around in the orchard rows and open spaces without disturbing others. Also, the ducks were a favorite! We probably won’t make it back this fall, but the kids are already asking to come back next summer.

We stayed here last year and my wife wants it to be a yearly tradition. It's a beautiful orchard that lets you camp in many different locations. They've got bathrooms near their shop, and showers you can buy. The farm is right across the street from Big Barn Brewing, and it has a coffee/snack stand for the mornings. My wife loved the pumpkin waffles!

Weekend Trip to Riverfront Solitude

This is our second year at Matt and Susan’s place and we plan to return next year again. We love this spot! My sons and I spent the weekend in solitude enjoying good food, board games, and the river! Susan’s fresh cinnamon rolls are the cherry on top of a wonderful experience. We enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding around from the private dock, playing games by lamplight, and watching the wildlife around us. Highly recommend! We’ll be back!

Site 1 is spacious and includes 50 amp electrical service and water hookup. RV's up to 55' and room for parking 2 vehicles. The lot is fairly open but is surrounded by trees. Includes a fire pit, picnic table, firewood, a big deck/table and a bbq.

I was passing through and needed a last-minute spot to spend the night — this was a great choice! Easy to find, quiet, and perfect for a good night’s rest. Waking up next to the apple trees was amazing. This city boy and his dog really enjoyed it.
