The Guinea farm is 18 acres of feild and forest on the rural middle pennensula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded beaches and a boat launch. There is verly little traffic or light polution here, nature is at your fingertips.
Come visit the farm and experience agrotourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the windernes and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle pennensula.
There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria is a primative site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy is a suspended tree tent in the pines 700' beyond that and seperated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an offgrid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property.
Each site is surronded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large feild. There are romaing guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack.
There are free to use bicycles, an axe throwing board, and cornhole boards available.
4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

Nestle on the Pamunkey Indian Reservation also known for Spiritual Healing that overlooks the Pamunkey River. The Pamunkey people have been here for over 10,000 years making this area one of the oldest reservations in the country.
We have a small platform sitting right on the water for privacy and beautiful views of the river. You may see Bald Eagles, Grey Herons, Ducks, Geese, River Otters, and so much more. During low tide, the water is pulled back into the main part of the river and this is where you will see the wildlife during this time. There are up to 8 Bald Eagles here at a time and during the Spring to Fall, you will see Osprey hunting for food right in front of you and usually getting chased by the Eagles. What an awesome site to be able to camp and be a part of so many creatures all in their natural habitat.
We live right up the hill. Depending on where your tent is located, you may or may not see our home. Usually you cannot but want you to be aware. When you are camping, we respect your space and privacy to the fullest.
During the full moon, the water on the campsite will rise and you will need to camp closer to the land. Also, when the tied is out, you will not be able to launch the canoe or kayak.
There is a short path to walk and it is a very short incline.
Please note that hunting season starts in October, and you may hear the noise.

Weekend Trip to The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
Such a unique and private treehouse adventure!
The main house and other 2 sites were almost completely hidden behind trees outlining a small open field that was perfect for stargazing.
I loved having the option of sleeping in the treehouse or on the cots in the tent that was securely anchored to the elevated wooden platform.
The porch area leading into the treehouse had 2 camp chairs, which created the perfect lookout to enjoy morning coffee and the gas cooktop/grill provided a convenient, covered area to cook breakfast.
Ian, the host, maintained excellent communication from booking to checkout and responded quickly when I had questions about the battery operated light switches and WiFi connection.
Having several beach options just a few minutes drive away was better than I hoped considering the ease of access and how few people were at the beaches. For a while I had Aaron’s Beach completely to myself!
Staying at the Wisteria Treehouse is now my favorite “glamping” get away and look forward to returning soon!

Ian’s Stargazer cabin lived true to its name! The fire of the night sky was so magical, and the inside of the cabin was so well-designed and cozy. It had everything we needed! We also loved meeting the many birds on the property and of course the sweet dogs Sam and Zoe!

The cabin itself was really cute and functional. We were there in February when it was cold and rainy and stayed warm and cozy. Being so close to beaches was amazing, beautiful places in every direction and the property itself was also really spacious and cool. Ian as a host was kind, communicative, and fun to interact with, he was ready to accommodate on site issues and also not be overbearing. Would highly recommend! And would love to go back in the warmer months. Thanks so much~~

We enjoyed the property and all of the amenities in the cabin. We stayed on a cold weekend and were able to cook hot food and use the heater to stay warm while we watched movies. We enjoyed feeling secluded but also able to reach Ian at anytime.

Stargazer tiny cabin at the Guinea Farm was perfect for me and my pup. Ian was the perfect host and made us feel so welcome. Meeting the chickens and guineas was a lot of fun and the beach nearby was breathtaking. We explored the area, had a few campfires, and relaxed. Even the rainstorm was amazing while inside Stargazer!!! The cabin was super cool. We will be returning! Just a quick note that did not detract from the experience at all - we did encounter some hunting dogs loose at the beach hunting a deer. Its obviously hunting season and off the location, just good to note. We loved our trip here and valued meeting Ian and learning about his much loved birds, clearly living in paradise. Definitely worth a visit! The cabin itself was extremely clean and well stocked. The property was fun to explore, even has corn hole and axe throwing!

1 night at The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
I’m a returning camper. Last time I went to Trilogy. Love this whole property. 2WD accessible. I was greeted by the host Ian who promptly brought me a huge pile of firewood. Campsite has a nice picnic table and nice fire ring with swivel cooking grate.
The treehouse features a deck with a tent for anyone who needs it. The treehouse also has a griddle and grill running off a propane tank.
Inside the treehouse has bar stools and a bar top dining area. It also has L-shaped benches on the back wall and a foldable table. There is a projector with Roku stick for streaming off of their WiFi. Also for fun there is a Nintendo 64 with 3 games including Mario Kart 64. All electrical components run off a battery powered by solar. There are USB-A ports in various area for your convenience. Additionally there are cots and camping chairs provided.
I had a great time and felt very safe on the site. I really got to relive some childhood memories sleeping in a treehouse and playing video games. I highly recommend.
If sleeping in the provided tent isn’t your thing or you have brought your own, there are countless areas surrounding the treehouse and an adjacent field with ample room 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Loved everything!! Needed a nice wooded fall location for a photoshoot and this was perfect!! Ian was wonderful and offered a tour and let us see the birds before we headed over to our rented site which was such a cute set up! We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to The Guinea Farm, Field, and Forest
We had a wonderful stay at the Stargazer tiny cabin. It was incredibly cozy, warm and clean. The cabin had every amenity we needed, and Ian provided clear instructions for everything. He responded to all of our requests quickly and kindly, which made our stay even better.
One of the highlights was looking up at the stars at night. It was absolutely fantastic! Aaron’s Beach and Haven Beach were only 3–5 minutes away, and we had the best time there with our dog.
This was truly one of our best stays, and I strongly recommend Ian’s place. We will definitely be back!

Great spot! The port a John was clean and easy to find! The cabins were clean, and Ian was nice to make sure we had wood at the site and make sure we found our way when we got a little lost. Very serene, loved hearing the roosters as we got up in the mornings. We’ll definitely be back, and I’m recommending to my friends!

We had an amazing camping trip! Ian was very responsive and welcoming, and his hospitality really made our stay enjoyable. We loved the fresh eggs from his chickens for breakfast. There was plenty of space for the dogs to run and play. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing and comfortable getaway!

Went camping as a group and couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Ian was absolutely amazing to meet. He let us explore the property, meet all his different birds (even got to see one in the cutest little hat), and gave us eggs for breakfast! The property is beautiful, with wonderful beaches nearby, and beautiful views of the night sky. We were even lucky enough to watch shooting stars while there. Couldn’t recommend Ian or this property enough. We will definitely be returning and camping at the other sites he offers!

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was exactly what I was looking. Peace and quiet (except for the thousands of geese, but their ruckus was peaceful as well). Allyn and Duane were wonderful hosts, ensuring I had everything I needed and the privacy I desired. There was a burn ban issued two days before my arrival and they graciously supplied me with charcoal and even a little charcoal grill! The sunsets were beautiful, the night sky amazing and the eagle sightings were plentiful! Bring binoculars if you come. You'll get amazing views. All in all, a wonderful trip and I plan on coming annually for the foreseeable future. Thanks Allyn and Duane!
Oh, and opt in for the outdoor shower! It was amazing and the view incredible.

This is our second time at Ian's hipcamp and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The stargazer cabin was lovely and definitely a nice glamping experience. We didn't have to bring anything with us other than toys for the kids and food to feed ourselves. We brought my 60+ MIL and she loved that there was a composting toilet 😅 Being around the birds was so fun and we went to the little Haven Beach nearby and had a wonderful time- it was a perfect beach for young kids with lots of shells, fun rocks, and calm waters.
