Huntress Haven Farm is located in the scenic valley of the First Branch of the White River. One of the main attractions to the farm is the dairy goat herd (kids of all ages LOVE them) Because of the livestock we cannot allow dogs. In addition, we have farm dogs on the property; the dogs are very friendly, but they are also protective of the livestock. Guests have lots of fun access to the animals and are welcome to participate in milking and chores. There are many foraging opportunities year-round. Our herd of alpacas once was shown successfully in the Eastern States, now mostly range on the farm, having sweet cria (babies), growing magnificent fiber and effortlessly entertaining throngs of wedding guests! You have your choice of camping with your van or small RV, small trailer or tent, in a level, forested area (not lakeside) with picnic table and fire pit, or tenting lakeside with water views, picnic table and fire pit, or both! You have access to both, one reservation comes with both spots, so you can enjoy the lakeside regardless of where you sleep. Vehicles cannot reach the tent site, it is a steep trail about a 150 feet. Although our campsite is near the lake, you cannot drive to the water from the campsite. It is a steep, short hike down to the water. There is one canoe at the campsite you are free to use or bring your own canoes, kayaks and/ or paddle boards to enjoy the superb water. There are no motor boats on the lake, so the paddling and swimming is great. There are three private homes on the lake, adjacent to where your site it located so we ask that no loud partying, play music only quietly and no generators. There are no campers on either side of your campsite, we only offer one, campsite. There is a nice, clean outhouse and no other amenities (Tier D in HipCamp-speak). No on-site water but it can be obtained at our house, just ask. We have a dog on the property, who is friendly and off leash. If having a dog come visit would be a problem for you, please don't make a reservation. If you plan on bringing a dog please let us know. No more than two dogs allowed.

This space was amazing! Ted was so attentive and communicative - gave us an extremely warm welcome. The cabin itself was perfect, couldn’t ask for more. The space heater kept us warm, the bed was comfy, the shower had warm water and the view was beautiful. We will be returning!

Ted’s set up is the nicest place we have ever camped!! The hot shower and dish washing station was more than amazing. He provides everything you need to cook a meal & sit down to enjoy it. Ted was super nice & accommodating, checking in on us to see if we needed anything. If I ever find myself in NY again, I will 100% stay here again!

Ted is an exceptional host with a lovely property that provides everything you could ever need for a lovely weekend camping. Show up with as little as a tent and some sleeping bags and Ted has you covered on the rest. This campsite has some of the best amenities I’ve ever experienced. From the hot shower to the stove, gazebo, and fire pit, Ted has got you covered. The campsite is also in a beautiful woods with a lovely brook nearby and great walking paths for you to get your day started with. I couldn’t recommend a campsite more than this. We will most certainly be returning.

Excellent stay! Beautiful spot, nice and quiet. We spent a decent amount of time just reading books with the windows open. Close to everything. Fire pit was nice, also had a charcoal grill you could use. Would love to stay again, highly recommend!

This is an incredible site! Having access to the lake is incredible and the views all around this area are awesome. Sites were well equipped with fire pits and tables, and the outhouse was clean and comfortable. Elisa’s directions were very accurate and easy to follow. She was very responsive and more than accommodating. Zero complaints, we had a great stay.

Weekend Trip to Huntress Haven Farm

We enjoyed our long weekend at Huntress Haven Farm. Raegan (their daughter) was a great hostess. She showed us around the barn, with goats and ducks, and shared her vast knowledge of them. I milked a goat and we enjoyed her milk. The 2 dogs were welcoming and friendly too. The sites are spacious and have beautiful views of the valley. We also explored the rural area with its dirt roads, general stores, covered bridges, ice cream and a couple short scenic hikes.

Weekend Trip to Brookview Cabin

Camping at brookside campsite was fantastic. There was a kitchen with camp stove and fuel and the basics you need for any cooking, so you don’t even have to pack up your kitchen kit unless you’re trying to do something fancy. Nice outhouse and shower with hot water. The stream was really nice and peaceful and I would have liked to play around in it a little if the weather had been warmer. Good proximity to tons of hiking (about 40 minute drive to Adirondack loj) and the property is big enough to wander around yourself. The hosts were also fantastic. Ted gave a some great food and activity recommendations and was overall enjoyable to talk with when I got there. Would definitely consider camping here again next time I’m in the high peaks region.

Ted and Sue have an incredible cabin with everything you need. Amazing hospitality, made us feel right at home and appreciate the recommendations to everything near by and in town. The cabin was so intentionally put together, and our favorite memory was watching the famous Adirondack night skyline with star with a campfire. Thank you Ted and Sue, we will be back soon!

Huntress Haven was perfect for our stay in Vermont!! Not only was it beautiful, but Dave and Miken were the perfect hosts! My boys enjoyed helping with the animals, exploring the river, learning to milk the goats, and other activities. We would love to return next time we're in Vermont. ❤️
