We provide all linens and towels for guests, AC/Heater units and hot/cold water year-round. We're located at the border of Utah and Arizona in Cane Beds, AZ. It's a very isolated area with 2-3 dining options and a large full-sized grocery store (Bee's Marketplace) less than 10 minutes away! Cane Beds, Arizona has beautiful sandstone formations & attractions such as nearby Water Canyon Trailhead, Gooseberry Mesa and Maxwell Park. The terrain is very similar to Zion National Park. This region is especially known for hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails. We're also conveniently located 40 min from Kanab, which is a town full of trails and hikes with a ton of great stops on the way (Paria Townsite, The Toadstools, Wirepass to Buckskin Gulch, The Wave, Grand Staircase Escalante). This land has been in our family for four generations to graze our herd of sheep. We renovated our camps to provide a comfortable glamping space to those who want a one-of-a-kind experience in the backcountry. One of our best features is the solitude and exposure to Mother Nature. Here, you won't find quiet hours, disruptive campers, or noise and light pollution. These sites provide the ultimate experience for those willing to go off the grid, off the main road, and into the backcountry. This space is where the tourist crowds disappear and the rugged, raw beauty appears. As the crow flies, the property is just over three miles from the east boundary of Zion National Park. This land is where our family calls home and has been in the Lundgren family for four generations. It is still used for agriculture purposes today. In early June, you may see sheep grazing in the nearby meadows and mid-to-late summer, cows roam the area adding to the uniqueness of the experience. This part of the country is home to textured red rock, blue skies, and numerous desert flora and fauna, making it an ideal spot for photographers. Some of the animals you might spot include owl, bear, mountain lion, bobcat, deer, coyote, turkey, snakes, lizards, as well as many different types of birds. There is very little light pollution making the night sky dazzling and unforgettable.

I wish the wind wasn’t so cold at night but then again it is November. The place has a lot of character, is super clean and has a nice wooden grill where food taste amazing. Will definitely stay again if possible.

I loved this site!!! Everything was so well done and put together. There were signs right out front to indicate the campsite which was necessary since we arrived at night on both days. We were given a clear map and wifi info before we arrived to help us. It was a wonderful experience!

I was visiting In a 19’ Sprinter and my sidekick Olaf a morkie, and we had a great experience for 2 nights. Site had electric and water. Fire pit and picnic table. The bathrooms were clean and warm and included the shower. Nice community area with lots of games inside for kids. It was close to road so could hear in the day but quiet at night.

I really loved my time at the Gypsy King cottage! What a beautiful and well thought out space to stay in. Russell was a very good host and communicated promptly when I reached out to him. The cabin and the property is so peaceful absolutely gorgeous! I hope to come back and stay for longer next time. I didn’t have the time to try the sauna. My dog loved the fenced in yard and made good friends with the neighbors adorable blue and red heelers! Thanks again Russell😊🙏✨

A camp I’ll be returning to! A fully equipped outdoor kitchen (the hot water kettle was a great surprise for a cold morning). The bathroom and shower was clean and an easy walk from any site. I appreciated the wooden platform as it was a rainy night and it kept me dry and off the ground. A great experience overall for sure!

Weekend Trip to Gypsy’s Cottage

Russell’s cottage matches the photos, clean while also cozy. The cob structure is really beautiful, and fire wood provided was so nice. A wood fired sauna is a treat and an outdoor bath, looking towards the Big Dipper was very special! This is a precious place to stay, and there’s lots of incredible hiking, climbing, and mountain biking with an hour drive. Also the neighbor dogs came to visit which we loved. Thank you Russell and hope to visit again sometime.
