Boom, easy explanation. Now, on to the good stuff. In Utah, the St. George Field Office manages around 629,000 acres of land in Washington County. The environment out here is pretty dang unique, because it’s situated at the convergence of the Mojave Desert, the Great Basin, and the Colorado Plateau. Some plants and animals can only be found here in this unique area. Because it’s such a one-of-a-kind spot, the recreation opportunities are just as awesome. The BLM’s website describes them as “as diverse and challenging as the desert landscape.” We’ll raise a glass (or a tin camp mug) to that description! The GPS location will guide you straight there to an intersecting road with a stop sign called 1200 E which runs south the "main" road/4800 N/AKA Antelope Springs Rd. At this intersection, there is a trail running north marked with an orange post for fiber cable. That trail and road marks the bottom left corner of the property if you're facing north. Follow the trail and find your way anywhere on the right side, there are already some campsites made up, but you are also welcome to make your own to your hearts desire. Be mindful of your vehicle, cars can drive the trail but there is always a risk of getting stuck. You can also park on the main road as you are already at the property anyway and can just walk in a little ways to set up your camp. **It's important to be aware of any fire warnings for Iron County, Utah. Do a Google search for fire threats and it should be the first thing you see. Most of the time, large bonfires will be highly discouraged. Use good judgment when building a fire of any size.  *Cedar City is a straight shot East if you need any medical attention.

We request that you go to the top of the canyon to smoke so it doesn’t disturb our non-smoking customers. 11. Are animals allowed on the property? Located near the Parowan Gap there are dinosaur tracks. East of the Gap and petroglyphs hikers can discover Hadrosaurs tracks that were originally formed in non-resistant mudstone. Later, the Old Spanish Trail passed through the area. The nearby town of Parowan was founded in 1851, twelve months after Parley P. Pratt and members of his exploring party discovered the Little Salt Lake (dry lake bed) which is straight out from the property. The area was traveled by early settlers that used the nearby Red Hills to pass through the area to hide from aggressive Indians that hid in the nearby mountains that watch for them traveling on the Spanish Trail. Many arrow heads and artifacts have been found on and near the property. Later (early 1900's) sheep herders camped in the same place as the location of the property. More about this land: Wide open land up against The Red Hills (BLM land) near the small town of Parowan Ut. Beautiful vistas. Outdoor Model Train layout, Hiking and biking trails. This is the perfect place to come get a fresh perspective and some fresh air in the mountains, on the ranch. Close to some of the most popular hikes and National Parks, it’s a great place to escape to. The night sky is gorgeous. The stars and the Milky Way are visible and spilling across the sky. We have an outdoor fire pit where you can sit and melt into the night after a day of hiking. Or, On cold nights, hanging out by the fireplace in your own space, with a cup of hot cocoa. The space This is a whole, all inclusive space to yourself in my daylight basement apartment. There is, games, books, a TV, kitchen and fireplace. Cleaned and disinfected after every guest. Guest access We are on five acres and you are more than welcome to meander everywhere. There are lots of trees, benches and a tire swing. You are also welcome to say hi to the chickens and the horses, the goose and her entourage of ducks just beware the “Bad Rooster” he is mean and prays on the weak. Everyone else will all treat you like a rockstar if you bring them food. The wire around the horse pen is hot. So step inside, with the horses to say hi to them. They love carrots and apples. Other things to note We do have a washer and dryer on the premises. But they are not in the guest space. If you need a load or two done, I am more than happy to oblige. We are on a septic system and anything besides toilet paper thrown down the toilet, Is bad, so please refrain from throwing in feminine hygiene products, cotton balls or paper towels down the toilet. Decorative pillows are just for decoration. I only wash them once a season, so use the other pillows for sleeping. It is helpful but in no way expected if you’d like to strip your beds at the end of your stay. I hope you have so much fun staying with us!

Super friendly staff. Beautiful and super clean amenities and grounds. We received a text with clear instructions as we were due to arrive late. Don (staff) stayed up to meet us at the the main building and guided us to our site. He was joyful and helpful and such a great person to welcome tired and weary travelers. Bathrooms and showers were exquisite!

The staff at the campground were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The RV sites were very clean, and the shared facilities—such as the showers, BBQ grills, and hot tubs—were all well maintained, making our stay very comfortable. There was also a supermarket, a hardware store, and a gas station just a two-minute drive away, which was very convenient.

Wow… what a spot. Probably the coolest spot I’ve ever camped. I love that There aren’t designated spots, there are just random fire pits and Porta potties sprinkled around the land. You basically just pick wherever you want to camp.

Kolob is always beautiful! It was also my friends’ first time visiting, and they absolutely loved it. A few things though ; we weren’t informed ahead of time that the General Store was closed, so we had to drive back to town (about 45 minutes each way) to grab some last-minute essentials. Unfortunately, we had to go home a day early because there was construction right in front of our campsite, which really ruined the whole camping experience. On the bright side, I have AT&T and surprisingly had signal, so I was able to call and update my family.

The views are worth not having a picnic table. When we first arrived and left for Zion in the morning it was dark so we had no idea how amazing the view was, and I was actually 2nd guessing my choice of campground. But when we returned and saw the place in the day time .. OMG WOW!! IT WAS AMAZING!! We even watched the meteor shower our last night. The drive to the main entrance is a little far, but the drive isn't bad, you're there B4 you know it. We would definitely stay here again!!
