This was my first Hipcamp stay and Sam and Sarah came to meet us shortly after we arrived and had everything ready as we pulled in. Hook up was great. They have great amenities. Sam spoke to us about his slice of heaven and walked with me to meet his chickens. Thank you so much. We will be back

I only stayed one night, but it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience! The owners are onsite, friendly, very helpful and responsive to any questions I had before and during my stay. The location was easy to find in the daylight (I arrived mid afternoon), and everything was just as described. GPS gets you to the right spot but note it will be very dark at night as there are no street lamps which makes for amazing night sky/star gazing. I had my Great Dane with me and the other dogs onsite came to meet him and they all got along well. I stayed in the smaller camper, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable—the bed was great, and I slept really well. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat. There’s a small deck with an awning for shade, and a shared grill if you want to cook outside. I brought most of my own supplies, so I didn’t use the kitchen gear, but everything you’d need seemed to be there. Fridge and freezer worked well. The camper is located close to the horse barn, which was a bonus—I enjoyed walking around and even got to meet the horses. There are also shared bathroom facilities in the barn if you prefer a regular shower over the RV setup. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you love animals and want a quiet, rural escape. It’s a good location to explore Mineral Welsl, Granbury and Weatherford areas. I’d definitely stay again!

Gary’s place was just right for our overnight stays. Super easy 20-minute drive to visit our kids and grandkids in Fort Worth. Gary was a great host, really enjoyed chatting with him and hearing a bit about the old dairy farm. Our two grandsons (3 and 5) stayed with us for a couple of nights and loved seeing the longhorns and exploring the property. We’ll definitely be back.

This is a beautiful piece of property and we really liked it. We had to cut our stay short by one night because of weather but this is a really special local. There are no hookups so come prepared.

I had an amazing experience at Sonja’s place! The views were stunning, and it felt like the perfect escape peaceful and relaxing, yet surprisingly close to Dallas. This was my first time camping and I went solo, so I was definitely feeling anxious, but the moment I arrived and met Sonja and her sweet daughter Olivia, I immediately felt safe and welcomed. Sonja went above and beyond to make sure everything was convenient and comfortable. She mowed the grass before I arrived and sprayed the bathroom for mosquitoes, which was a huge relief. The bathroom itself was stocked with everything I could possibly need bug sprays, fire starters, a lighter, batteries, OFF! spray, sanitizing wipes, and more. Honestly, I regretted stopping at Walmart for those items Sonja had it all covered! One of the highlights of my stay was getting to meet her baby goats they were so much fun to play with! And to top it all off, she even gifted me fresh eggs, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. This was truly a special experience, and I’m already planning to come back hopefully next time with my husband. If you have kids, this is a very family friendly spot where you’ll feel safe, cared for, and have a great time. Highly, highly recommend!

I have a Ford Transit camper van, so I just needed a place to crash on the weekend away from the city. I really like that even though it feels I am away from the city there are stores and restaurants 10 minutes drive from the farm. I also appreciated they had a nice warm shower and a bathroom right by the area I parked. The fire pit is shareable, but it seems like no one cared for it, so I had it all for me 😅

Very peaceful and tranquil.. loads of meadow flowers. Off the beaten path but worth the effort. Easy in and out access. Bath house very clean and stocked. managers don't bother your privacy. Highly recommended and will stay again.

While you enjoy your farm stay, watch the chickens and the goats forage on our eight-acre property just five minutes from Granbury’s historic square, and two miles from the closest boat ramp. Use our farm as home base while you explore the local wineries, breweries, restaurants, antique and junk shops and so much more that Granbury has to offer. We even offer WiFi and a smart TV. Access to the Airstream will be in a field where we keep our goats, chickens, turkeys, and two LARGE, but FRIENDLY livestock guardian dogs. Feel welcome to explore our front field, located between our driveway/parking area and the road. We tend to leave grass here high at some times of the year for the wild flowers, but there are paths mowed around and through it. This is where our big green houses (high tunnels) are. The huge tree in the middle is an old native pecan.
