A nice touch of the piney woods close to Austin, nice restroom for this road tripping campervan couple. Helpful host. The power and water at the site were a welcome bonus.

We were lucky to find this site! We needed a last minute camping site for our family reunion at the state park and crossed our fingers that we would get a good one. Craig was a great host, gave us a tour of the property when we arrived, and even swapped us to a better site for our tents last minute. The bathroom and shower were clean and functional and the property is wooded and hilly and picturesque. There is definitely some highway noise early in the evening (being pretty close to 71 we weren’t surprised), but it quieted down as it got later and we could hear owls and coyotes and other wildlife. We would definitely book again.

The space was extremely clean and well maintained. The barn was spacious and had stylish elements throughout. There were horses that loved apples fed to them! It was a very charming piece of land, and the Host was extremely hospitable. I stayed (4) nights and have nothing but positive things to say. I will definitely be going back, and plan to stay longer next time.

Very close to Austin (and to civilization) which was convenient but still had a very secluded and country vibe. Russell was very communicative throughout preparations for my visit to make sure every one of my needs was met. During our stay he connected a giant box fanto keep us cool, hooked up our grill so we could eat, and brought water to put out our fire without being asked. Excellent and accomodating host.
Place has more amenities than advertised. We were surprised to find a trampoline, tug-o-war, a speaker setup in the barn even. Wonderful spot that was very pretty to enjoy at night when the lights came on. Will be returning for another visit someday.

22 ft travel trailer
With pets
The “M section” is the perfect spot if you have a small travel trailer and are okay with water and 20 amp hookup only (I think there was a 50 amp as well). There are no sewer hookups at this particular site, however there is a really convenient dump station before you exit the park and not to mention a really nice bath room and shower with a/c within walking distance. This is our second trip out there and we absolutely love this place.

We booked last minute and the hosts were very accommodating. The property was amazing and well kept up. This is a great place for family’s with and without kids alike. There are plenty of amenities from a catch and release pond, a giant sandpit, playgrounds, swimming pool, huge splashed, and an adult only pool and bar.

This place is beautiful and very well kept. Everything was quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed the nature trails! We will definitely be back.
