Open on weekends only. Learn more about this land: The Rock Pit is a 5 acre swimming hole located in Trinity County that has been there over 50 years. Long ago they had dug out an area on a hill for rock on the dirt roads, and hit and underground water table. There are no fish in the Rock Pit, as the pH is 4.5, so no fish will live in it. I recall swimming there as a small boy, and wanted to share my memories with others. Depth ranges all over, but the deep end is around 15 feet. I have 5 kayaks currently, but bring yours if you have them, along with your vests. There is fishing in Lake Livingston, my place is north of it. There is access to Lake Livingston via White Rock Creek. A public boat ramp in on Highway 94, just outside Trinity. Or you can go back towards Trinity, to highway 357 and go to a ramp closer to the big lake. Tall pine tress, a few Oaks, and maple trees surround the place. Bring your mosquito repellant, as you are in the country! The place is raw right now, but I am planning improvements such as a few A frame cabins, a showering area and so on. So many things to do! The pond is stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and perch. We stayed in a Travel Trailer. The power was set for any type power needed. Good clean water and sewage available at the front or back of the unit. Good amount of property available to give my dog a walk on leash. He enjoyed all the new smells. Many friendly chickens. A very enjoyable time. Would recommend to all.

It’s a very nice new place with a great pool and lake views. It’s a very big park and we were there in a Class C on a slow weekend. It had a very nice kids playground and a venue for a live band or performance that was near the pool. We had an afternoon snack at the Restaurant that was good. It’s very much a bar type food restaurant. The water and ice tea had an odd taste like the water softener put too much salt in it. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. There was a pool swim up bar that was staffed from the inside restaurant bar, but it was a light weekend as the park and pool were not very busy. The RV sites were long and plenty wide. I was in a section with only 3 RV’s near by and the pedestal voltage was only 111 volts on the 30a circuit. While sufficient for my stay could be a problem if they were very full in the heat of summer. The Dumpster was in the far corner of the park which is large. They could probably use a bit more lighting through out. I had to use a flash light to get to the dumpster at night. We will definitely be back. Next time in our Class A to test out the 50a service. It might be interesting to see if the pool or restaurant can handle the capacity if the park was full. There are a lot of sites

I’m so glad I found this spot! We were in Conroe for a two day event over the weekend and this was perfect for our needs. Nice level concrete pads, plus hookups and there is even a washer/dryer available (we didn’t need it for our short stay). Jeanna and her husband greeted us on arrival and showed us where to go - very friendly and helpful people! Jeanna was very good with communication leading up to our visit. The area is very quiet and peaceful and there are some nice trees that provide some shade. I will definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area for another event!

There were a few minor hiccups due to the age (2 mos.) of the establishment. The amenities were clean and organized. Jeanna and Kris are good hosts, have sites with level concrete pads, hookups easily accessible to the trailer, free laundry in a shed between two of the pads, and the sites are surrounded by greenery. Jeanna made sure of connecting with us, ready to answer questions along with giving info on the surrounding area for dining, etc. It has been a great base for our time as we had business in College Station and family to visit in Houston. We would have to pay at least double for the same site/service back home in New York state.

This is a wonderful place to stay! Jeanna and her husband were warm and welcoming from the moment of my arrival. Jeanna’s husband helped me get set up and made sure I had everything I needed. Jeanna became my contact throughout my stay, making sure I was satisfied with everything. It’s a very pretty spot with lots of trees and chickens roaming the property. As a single female camper, I need to be aware of my surroundings. I felt very safe at the fenced and gated, rural Cummins’ Corral. One of the nicest amenities (besides your host and hostess) is the free laundry they provide! I live in my RV full-time and as a Thousand Trails member, I am in need of a place to stay one week out of every month. With the pleasant atmosphere, the lovely hosts, the safe environment, and the great rates, I definitely consider Cummins’ Corral my new monthly go-to!
