The camper was well-equipped with all the essentials, making it easy to relax and truly enjoy our time in nature. Waking up surrounded by the sounds of the forest was a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. They had a miniature putt-putt course, a bounce area, playground, swimming pool, fishing pier and more! A few of us even enjoyed kayaking together on the water. (Kayaks cost extra to rent). It felt peaceful yet fun, with plenty of activities to keep everyone happy. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to other families looking for a relaxing, activity-filled getaway!

My family really enjoyed The Retreat. We had 8 people in our group and stayed in one of the cabins. It was a tight squeeze but we made it work. We really liked the pool and other amenities that were provided. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We bothered them a lot with towel, toilet paper, and trash bag requests. There was wifi in the clubhouse and in the cabins. You can rent golf carts to drive around in and cabanas around the pool. My only complaint is that the only shade around the pool was the cabana, and the Texas sun is not forgiving. All together, it was a great stay and we would definitely return.
