Paisano Azul Ranch is on 30 acres located by Terlingua Creek. The property is just minutes from the Terlingua Ghost Town and a short 3 mile drive to the Big Bend National park. Come pitch your tent or park your camper amid the peaceful desert hillside with views of plateaus that lead to the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park. There is a fire pit on site for you to toast marshmallows or cozy up near, and you can enjoy a bite to eat at the picnic table provided at each site. The picnic tables are placed beneath shade sails. There are two nice and new desert tan flushing Porta-Potties on-site, as well as showers for guests to use. These come in handy after a long day hiking. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful open sky sunsets, sunrises, and stargazing as much as we do. We are located just 3 miles from the entrance to Big Bend National Park. There are plenty of opportunities to get out and explore - you can hike, bike, canoe camp; kayak, off-road, swim, go horseback riding, visit hot springs, as well as visit restaurants, galleries, and listen to great music in Terlingua. There is something for everyone to feel free to bring the whole family. DIRECTIONS: Once you are on Road Runner Circle, go past the house on the left with the Christmas lights on. Please continue down the road and follow the road around the curve to the left. The campsites will be on the left and side behind the rock walls. The campsite number that is booked is the campsite you will stay in. Additional details to note: - We now have an above ground pool to keep cool in during the summer! Covered with a shade sail the water stays nice and chilly. ($10 fee/person) - You can stay connected if you'd like to, as cell reception and wifi are both available by the showers. Feel free to unplug during your stay though. - Seeing other campers on your trip at the campsite is very standard, as the sites are far enough apart to feel like they are yours, but they are not private. - Non potable water is provided on-site. The showers and non potable water is located approximately 1/4 mile from campsites 1-7. -We have friendly, quirky miniature goats named Clyde and Stella to visit while up at the showers. Our terrain is the Chihuhuan desert which has cactus covered rocky mountains with all the desert plants. Although we have privacy we are only about 35 to 40 minutes from the Big Bend National Park and The Big Bend Ranch State Park. Although we are remote we have a very nice swimming pool and restaurant only about ten to fifteen minutes away. We have two cabins we rent out. The big cabin has four rooms and sleeps six. The other cabin is called the small cabin it is one room and sleeps two.

Bradley’s land was perfect. We stayed in our 2004 RWD Ford E-250 van and while the road to the site was a bit bumpy we made it without any issues. The views were amazing, the vibes were spectacular, the host was communicative and provided detailed instructions for getting to the site and around the property. Couldn’t ask for a better first Hipcamp experience. 10/10, would absolutely stay again.

We really enjoyed tent camping at Perdido campsite. We enjoyed how peaceful quiet it was out there in the desert with no neighbors. There was another campsite but they were far enough and we didn’t really hear them. I would definitely come back because it was so relaxing to get away from everything for a little while. Brad was nice and helpful. Loved sunrise on the property.

6 nights at Sky Ranch Terlingua

We adored the North Shelter at Big Sky. It’s the perfect place for this kind of terrain. It protects you from wind, and is rather warm when it’s cold outside. We celebrated Thanksgiving and enjoyed our meal in the shelter in our warm and cozy tent. It’s a short distance to signal- only 15ish minutes till your phone starts notifying you of all the messages that were sent when you were in your little slice of Heaven. From the nearest town it’s another 15 to get to the national park. One of my fav moments was when we decided to lay low that day and read our books at camp. The views are spectacular. The sunrise is equally stunning as the sunset with mountains on both sides. The night time. Just wow. It was nice to have the provided chairs, one is reclined and made it so comfortable to sit back and just take the stars in. This trip was nothing short of memorable, and it wouldn’t have been as glorious if it wasn’t for this camp site. We will definitely be using it again the next time we want to enjoy the park.

Weekend Trip to Perdido Overland Overnight Camp

Fantastic experience. Land was quiet, views were great, the host was friendly and communicative, and the stars had extremely good visibility a few days after a new moon. It took us about 1 hour to drive into Big Bend and an hour and a half to make it to the south rim trail, making it a good day trip from this destination. Our Mazda CX5 was able to handle the conditions of the dirt road leading into the property without problems.

My group stayed at "El Groupo" site. It was PERFECT! When I was looking around for somewhere to stay while I was at Big bend, there was definitely no shortage of glamping locations. But this was the perfect secluded and nature immersed location that let you connect with the outdoors. While still having access to the basic necessities like showers and restrooms. (And a added bonus of a pool to chill after a warm day of hiking.) All while being just a minute or two drive from the Terlingua restaurants and bars if you feel like getting some great grilled food or a cold beer. Would most definitely stay here again!

5 nights at Starry Night Retreat

It was serene and far enough away from other people to really get to enjoy the solitude. My 2 pups and I spent 4 nights there to connect to nature and decompress from a stressful time in life. It was perfect for that! The dogs learned to quickly look before they step and the thorns in their feet were a minimum. I was surprised at the amount of traffic on Reimers Rd., and there was one neighbor kinda close in my opinion. Overall I had a wonderful time and was able to disconnect from technology! So amazing! I felt 100% safe.

6 nights at Perdido Overland Overnight Camp

Beautiful secluded spot. Responsive and helpful hosts if needed. Long bumpy dirt road on the last couple miles. Truck/suv tires are fine, but would be rough on car tires. If visiting Big Bend keep in mind it’s about 1-1.5hrs to the park entrance from there. So plan ahead. Would come back for how quiet it is and the views.

Weekend Trip to Starry Night Retreat

We loved it out there, it was so peaceful and the sky was magnificent. We loved the seclusion and being in a primitive campground with a beautiful sun rise and sunset with mountains surrounding the area. About 20-30 miles from chisos mountain in big bend the drive is scenic
