If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin.
Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp.

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!
Note: There is no electricity or bathrooms on the property. Please pack out what you pack in.
We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

Our campground has four tent 'pads' (12x12, 10x10, 8x8, 6x6). They're situated on about 1/2 acre behind the main ranch house, and include a fire ring with benches....wood is provided. Just steps away are two outdoor showers (with hot water) and two outdoor toilets (separate rooms) that are connected to our septic system. WATER LEVEL and FLOW
The water level in photos are accurate. The water level has dropped 12 feet since March 2023, to rebuild the dam that created our lake. There is a certain flow requirement downstream from our property, so we maintain a minimum flow and consistent level/depth regardless of rainfall.
Depth varies from 4 feet at our stairs to 10+ feet in the middle of the channel. Additionally, there's no boat traffic, so it's ideal for kayaking and fishing year round.
Water flow slows in warmer seasons, and plumes of button moss intermittently float up from the bottom, collecting at water's edge. We still swim among the button moss, but it may not be ideal for some. Unfortunately, there's no way to predict when it will emerge and how long it stays.

Harmless to humans, deadly to harmful spiders. The big harmless, banana spiders keep flies and mosquitos away. It's nature in balance.
If the pond’s low, bring a float or take our kayaks ten minutes away to a secret bend in the San Marcos River. We’ll share the pin.
Your close to town but, fully immersed in nature, so it's not ideal for small kids to wander alone. Ladders, beds, and trails aren’t built to code. Adults should be fit and wear sturdy shoes if going far from camp.

Come and stay at our four acre riverfront property right on the Guadalupe! Half of the property is at higher elevation, with a nice sunset vista and breezy camping spots. Parking is also located up here. A short walk down a gated ravine takes you to the lower-leveled riverfront part of the property. This area offers 1-2 camping spots on a wooden deck, and 2-3 camping spots on the rock/concrete pavilion overlooking the fire pit and benches. The riverfront amenities include a gas grill, a cooler, a fire pit (firewood included but always subject to a burn ban), and well water for a hose shower (not for drinking). There is well water on the upper part of the property as well. No fires are permitted up top.
Enjoy the views up top and the amenities down below. Set up your camp wherever works best for you!

We rent the entire property to one person/reservation at a time. Up to 10 people on the property allowed or $25 per extra person.
Cast a line in the Guadalupe and enjoy the bass and catfish fishing — If you're interested in a fishing guide for a 2-3 hour morning run, the cost is $250.00. The guide will pick you up on the banks of the property around 7am, and you'll be off the water by 10am. Subject to his availability.
Feel free to BYO kayak or canoe. Life jackets highly encouraged!
The property is on ALT 90, 5 miles east of Diamond A Gas Station and Doss BBQ, in Belmont, Texas. It is 10 miles west of Gonzales (home of the "Come and Take It" cannon legend and birthplace of Texas independence). They have an HEB, local Mexican food, and plenty of fast food options.
Hopefully you will find it a peaceful as we do. Always feel free to call with questions while you're there. First time renting our property out, so constructive suggestions are welcomed!

WATER LEVEL and FLOW
The water level in photos are accurate. The water level has dropped 12 feet since March 2023, to rebuild the dam that created our lake. There is a certain flow requirement downstream from our property, so we maintain a minimum flow and consistent level/depth regardless of rainfall.
Depth varies from 4 feet at our stairs to 10+ feet in the middle of the channel. Additionally, there's no boat traffic, so it's ideal for kayaking and fishing year round.
Water flow slows in warmer seasons, and plumes of button moss intermittently float up from the bottom, collecting at water's edge. We still swim among the button moss, but it may not be ideal for some. Unfortunately, there's no way to predict when it will emerge and how long it stays.

My wife and I had an amazing time at The Magnolia. Jennifer and her husband were super friendly and treated us with kindness. They greeted us and gave us a short intro.
The set up in the tent house was full of thought and essentials. Flashlights, towels, matches, and first aid kit. They also had some outdoor games. Along with coffee cups and a French press! ☕️
We also bought some eggs and they were DELICIOUS! The eggs are a must! It completes the experience. 🍳
Our dog had an amazing time outdoors and really enjoyed his time out there! 🐾
I would recommend if it’s your first time glamming!

The Best Dam Spot was truly a unique spot. The white noise of the water fall was soothing to fall asleep to (at the closer camp spots.) There were other camp sites nearby, but not loud enough to bother. The water was nice and clear that you even get to see some swim fish by! The kayaks seemed fun to use (unfortunately didn't get to use em') but saw plenty of other people try em' out. Fishing there was my main reason of going and my fiance and I were not disappointed. Overall great spot to camp and will be coming back in the Spring to enjoy the water in hotter weather!

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR
I brought my wife here for Valentine’s Day, and we both had an amazing time. The property where the campsite was, was beautiful and serene. It was just the type of environment that we needed to ground ourselves and find some peace. We stayed at Terrys camper site and words can’t described how comfortable, clean, and cozy the place was. The restrooms were very clean and taken care of. This was the best experience I’ve had camping/glamping. This was my wife’s first time going camping, since she’s a city girl, I was somewhat worried on the experience, but it’s safe to say that I won her over to the outdoor life. Thank you Bridget for hosting us. We will be back!

Great and secluded little spot on the river. There are more tent/rv sites nearby, but i had the whole area to myself. Bathroom was clean, well lit and close by. Camper covered the basics and ac/heater unit kept us comfortable.

Such a beautiful, well-kept place and perfect for camping with the family. The river access is great for fishing and swimming, and the owners are friendly and quick to respond. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

The area was beautiful especially with the damn flowing in the background. 20 minutes from San Marcos but still isolated enough to feel like your away from everything. Kayaking was a highlight as well with easy waters to navigate. Would come again

So a friend of mine recommended this spot and the family liked the idea of camping Christmas weekend so that's what we did. Booked the cute little camper and pitched a tent outside. It worked out perfect for a family of 4 adults & 2 littles. The camper is so adorable and was very comfortable. They've got a mini fridge, coffee pot w/ coffee provided and even had a TV! Guys were able to watch the football game on a big screen! Oh and did I mention it's air conditioned! Huge fire pit and the outhouse was pretty cool. 2 showers and toilet and just across from the camper which was very nice. Towels and shampoo were provided even. They had canoes to use at your discretion. A swing for small ones. Very much a nice & cozy spot and would definitely camp there again!

A wonderful experience!
The property is amazing. We spend two night here starting Christmas Day.
It was right up next to the Colorado river. So kayaking was a must, but up stream, currents were quite strong. So fun and peaceful.
We were left alone and the bath house was a great addition for tent camping for two nights.
A wonderful fire pit to cook on, and our request for fire wood was delivered!
Highly recommend!
