We loved camping on Sherwood’s land at Burgers Lake! We wanted something affordable near Dallas/Fort Worth, and this popped up. It felt like an abandoned waterpark all to ourselves- but it will be open soon- which would be even more fun! Plenty of wide open space and privacy. All the amenities are easily accessible. It’s definitely worth staying and we’ll be back if we’re in the area!

5 nights at Burgers Lake Camping

I had a great experience at Burgers lake! It’s a super great location in Fort Worth, while “feeling” away from the hustle and bustle in a serene environment. The camping areas are covered in grass, so there isn’t dirt and mud. A excellent spot to clean out your RV/van. There are big trees, a basketball hoop, and swings. And, charcoal grills at your camp site. There is a small waterpark the grounds are near, that is closed until end of May. The host is super nice and chill! And, my spot was super private with no one around. A truly peaceful place!

We loved staying at Friends in RV Spaces. It was in the country, on a beautiful piece of property. The hosts, Sarah and Sam, were very friendly. They made sure we had all the needed information about staying on their property, and asked us if we had any questions about the area. We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The host made sure I had everything I needed to have a successful trip. The location couldn’t have been better. It was nice being so close to dinosaur valley and fossil rim. I didn’t want to be in an RV environment, so the primitive camp site was perfect for me.
