Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away.
Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose.

In November, we had over 10 inches of rain. It was a blessing for our grass and cover crops, however, the spill way at our campground was severely damaged. Therefore, the pictures of our beautiful pond do not portray the actual visual of what you will see. We are in the process of working with engineers to repair the spillway. You will still enjoy the beautiful sunsets, serene environment and we have three other ponds suitable for fishing.
We offer two full camper hookups and several tent camping options. We have a permanent toilet and sink on-site. We are a full time working farm. We have beef cattle, sheep, horses, goats and chickens. For an additional cost, we offer farm tours and we are willing to cook for our guests. There are several wineries and breweries nearby. I was welcomed by friendly goats and lil pig. Since, it was a thanksgiving day - I only saw three people in the area. Our tent was superb! Perfect spot for our camping but unfortunately we have to leave after 3 hours of stay coz my son has an anxiety attack. He just got tired from our previous camp (this is actually our second spot). I believe we need to come back here again soon and explore the area. The communication w the host was great. All the instructions were given clearly and the suggested trail to explore. We really need to come back here again soon.

My friends and I loved our little getaway in the airstream. Their family was so welcoming! The animals were all nice and fun to be around. The actually camper was so cute and perfect for what we were looking for. The town itself was also such a sweet place. I highly recommend!!

Very unique property, hope they add the animals at some point. Utilities worked fine. Only concern is the road is tight for a 5th wheel with low limbs in some spots. Very quiet and peaceful.

Peaceful and clean place. You can get in touch with their farm animals which is a nice way to start your day. Hosts were very nice and attempt to any potential needs. Great communication prior to arrival. Good spot if you’re planning to stop by around Forth Worth

High Hopes Ranch is magical. What a beautiful piece of land not far from DFW. For someone who loves camping, hiking, getting into nature, and the mountains, this was such a lovely spot in Texas. The landscape was so amazing and the hiking trails provided much terrain and a bit of elevation. The Star Pad was incredible and enchanting. Stunning views. True Texas beauty ❤️

I came here in late July for the dark skies/meteor shower and a night of primitive camping. The night skies were spectacular, and the view of the Milky Way was amazing, even with the moon about 1/3 full! The hosts said I could set up camp anywhere and suggested a couple of spots, so I explored their trails for a few minutes until I found an ideal campsite in a cedar grove a few feet off the trail. I tried to leave it better than I found it, but this property was already really clean when I arrived. They had a clean bathroom available for campers with a flushing composting toilet, running water, soap, hand washing sink, paper towels and a solar shower stall... all a bit more than I had expected for "primitive camping". Hope to return again during the fall color and wildflower bloom seasons. This place has a very peaceful feel. They had a few pastures and stables with some of the happiest looking goats, pigs and chickens I've seen.

I only stayed one night, but it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience! The owners are onsite, friendly, very helpful and responsive to any questions I had before and during my stay. The location was easy to find in the daylight (I arrived mid afternoon), and everything was just as described. GPS gets you to the right spot but note it will be very dark at night as there are no street lamps which makes for amazing night sky/star gazing.
I had my Great Dane with me and the other dogs onsite came to meet him and they all got along well.
I stayed in the smaller camper, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable—the bed was great, and I slept really well. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat. There’s a small deck with an awning for shade, and a shared grill if you want to cook outside. I brought most of my own supplies, so I didn’t use the kitchen gear, but everything you’d need seemed to be there. Fridge and freezer worked well.
The camper is located close to the horse barn, which was a bonus—I enjoyed walking around and even got to meet the horses. There are also shared bathroom facilities in the barn if you prefer a regular shower over the RV setup.
It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you love animals and want a quiet, rural escape. It’s a good location to explore Mineral Welsl, Granbury and Weatherford areas. I’d definitely stay again!

A superb weekend destination. If you are interested in spending more time with horses this place is the best! At the night, two times I saw horses racing within their pasture under dark sky filled with stars. I didn't know that, such an amazing view to see!
Very clean, very kind, peaceful, near zero bugs, and stable 50 amp for EV camping. One of best stargazing night around Dallas we had.
