Hosts were very responsive. Amenities were nice. Washer & dryer on site were not working unfortunately. Sites are in the open under the hot sun without shade just an FYI.

We loved staying at Friends in RV Spaces. It was in the country, on a beautiful piece of property. The hosts, Sarah and Sam, were very friendly. They made sure we had all the needed information about staying on their property, and asked us if we had any questions about the area. We will definitely stay there again if we come to the Fort Worth area.

3 nights at 3 Lazy G Ranch TX RV & Horse Farm

Both RV sites are excellent. The property is secluded, private and well cared for. The hosts, Shari and Walter, are awesome. The sites are easy to access with big rigs and offer full hookups plus WiFi. Everything worked perfectly and I had ZERO issues. If you are looking to stay in the Rhome or Decatur area, this is the absolute best place.

This is a great location for a safe place to stay! It is very conveniently located near the centre of Fort Worth with some really great scenery along the way. We met Sam - he’s a great guy, very friendly and very accommodating. We only stayed the one night in our month long trip across America, but loved it. If only we had sites like this back home in Australia! Do yourself a favour and pick this great little hidden gem.

2 nights at Trickle Creek Ranch

This small RV campground had everything I could possibly want. There was a huge open field to play in and throw the ball for Lucie. The sunset was gorgeous. The host, Gary was kind and informative. The neighbors were friendly. There were even cows to feed and horses to watch. The eclectic architecture and attractive decor kept me entertained for two days.

This was a wonderful find!!! Sam and Sarah were able to get us in for our last minute trip. We arrived on Christmas Day and they took the time out their day to greet us and bring us homemade peanut brittle. The location is a quick drive to Fort Worth but was far enough out of town that we didn’t have to deal with Texas traffic with our camper. We can’t wait to come back!!

Weekend Trip to Palo Pinto Creek Retreat

This was a great location to take my kids for their first camping experience! The site was full of trees providing excellent shade. There were several flat areas and fire pits to choose from. The kids loved exploring the space and seeing all of the nature around them. Access to the water was nice. We didn't catch anything while fishing, but fun was had regardless. They also loved walking up the drive to see the goats. We were greeted by a friendly chicken each morning as it grazed near our tent. Overall, the space was very nice and is great for single families or groups.

We stayed 4 nights at Friends in RV Spaces and it was great. We had plenty of room for our 31ft travel trailer with space left over for our dog fence. It is close enough to the city to be convenient as we were there visiting friends, but far enough away that its nice and quiet in the evenings. We were greeted when we got there and they were very kind. There is a bit of noise from the neighbors as we were told they run a dog rescue. We could hear the dogs when we were outside but it was certainly not loud enough to keep us up at night. We have 3 dogs ourselves that travel with us so we are not to terribly sensitive to the barking. We had a great stay and would stay again if we were coming back through the area.

Eagle Mountain Lake is only 2 miles away and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants within 10 minutes. We do have some full time residents as well.

Awesome Possum Van Works and Recreation is the original nomad DIY build center. Most of our guests come here to DIY build skoolies, vans, RV's, and trailers. Guests have access to a fully equipped shop with every tool to build with. We have hosted over 400 DIYers here who have built amazing nomad adventure vehicles. There is quiet camping away from the activity at the shop but the focus is on building here and we allow generators and power tools 24/7 because often our guests work through the night during the hot summer months. Our mission is to make the transition from sticks and bricks to life on the open road as easy and painless as possible for all DIYers of every skill level. We are a DIY build location where people live on site and DIY build their vans, Skoolies, RV's, trailers, etc. We have bus and RV parking available and we have lots of boondocking space available for those who prefer primitive campsites either in a vehicle or tent camping.We are just now expanding out into general campsites and Hipcamp is our first effort at this. We are well establish, going on 3 years and we have drawn customers here from coast who have converted their vans and buses for great adventures.Our Hipcamp camping area is away from the busy shop and is very quiet and peaceful. No light pollution out here and star gazing at night is amazing. Our property is on the banks of the Brazos River just north of Possum Kingdom Lake and just south of Graham, TX. The fishing is usually excellent and we often see 20+ pound catfish and bass caught sitting on our riverbank. The channel is deep and wide and you may swim at your own risk and canoeing and kayaking are always an option. Trees are Live Oak, White Oak, Red Cedar, and Mesquite 20 to 30 ft tall, the ground is rocky and covered with flint and quartz and arrow heads are often found here as this was once reservation land. In the summer months we do have copperheads, rattlesnakes, scorpions, and tarantulas roaming around although we don't see them often. Guests should be aware of their surroundings at all times though. Winter time is when it's great to roam and explore as temps are mild and the critters are hibernating.Population here is sparse at approx 1 person per sq mile in our county and our place is very private and secure. Wildlife is abundant and there are several great short trails to hike on our property or adventure as far as you like in the river bottom which is public land. The town of Graham population 8k is 5 miles away and has all the daily required retail stores and fast food. And there are wonderful shops and local history to explore.

Deeply Rooted Campground

In November, we had over 10 inches of rain. It was a blessing for our grass and cover crops, however, the spill way at our campground was severely damaged. Therefore, the pictures of our beautiful pond do not portray the actual visual of what you will see. We are in the process of working with engineers to repair the spillway. You will still enjoy the beautiful sunsets, serene environment and we have three other ponds suitable for fishing. We offer two full camper hookups and several tent camping options. We have a permanent toilet and sink on-site. We are a full time working farm. We have beef cattle, sheep, horses, goats and chickens. For an additional cost, we offer farm tours and we are willing to cook for our guests. There are several wineries and breweries nearby. This is the perfect spot if you need to escape the chaos of life and enjoy some peace and quiet.
