Memmie’s Farm is a special 30 acres just outside of Bandera, TX on the Medina River! We hope bring love and energy to this beautiful piece of family property by opening it up to visitors who embrace the outdoors. At the designated tent camping sites, you will find oak groves that provide opportunities for shade. The RV sites are in a picturesque field that provides excellent views of the sunset. The field leads down to incredible cypress trees lining the Medina River. We also have a primitive camping area down by the river that requires you to park in a parking area and walk to your preferred camping spot. If you are looking for solitude and untouched nature, this is the place for you. The comforts of Bandera are conveniently only a 5 minute drive away. We are located less than 2 miles from Bandera City Park! At this time, all sites are completely dry. We do have porta-potties available. RV sites are boondocking only (no water or electric at this time.) Our slice of land on the Medina River is truly gorgeous! There are beautiful cypress trees that are magical year round, and there are often small rapids. If relaxing in the shade by the river and dipping your feet in is your thing, our property is perfect for that! However, this is not a swimming hole. The Medina River is generally not considered safe in Bandera, TX, due to consistent low flow. Swim at your own risk.

We had a wonderful time calling Ellie’s place “home” for a night. With all the comforts at your fingertips, the travel trailer worked perfect for our NYE visit. We will definitely return to Bandera soon, and will absolutely look to rent with Ellie Again.

I absolutely loved this camper! Private location, very well stocked, and the little deck with the comfy furniture was perfect first thing in the morning. I have watched deer while sipping coffee, lazed on the couch under the umbrella enjoying a nice breeze, and cooled my feet in the river in the late morning. It was the relaxation I needed with just the right amount of space. Alright TLDR is over so here is the breakdown. Pros: ~VERY WELL STOCKED for the most part (dishes, tea pots, towels, washcloths, even a outside sink for room to wash dishes, ect.) ~ gas stove (just remember to turn it on) ~ fantastic distance from the river ~ beautiful views (especially nighttime for stargazing) ~ Comfy furniture! Legit wanted to nap outside in good breeze. ~ Privacy! I could only see one cabin unless I went to the main camp grounds. ~ Public area's are also well stocked and taken care of Cons: ~Only one pot to cook on. There was a griddle as well but I didn't test it. Absolutely would have grilled outside if there wasn't a burn ban. ~ The path to the restrooms wasn't well lit but you're out in nature get a headlamp. ~ One of the showers uses the hooked latch that kept slipping if the door was bumped. There was twine to help hold it in place but please someone get that fixed with a more secure latch.

We had such a lovely stay! The campsite had everything we needed — cookware, fridge, clean showers and bathrooms, and beautiful views all around. We arrived late at night during a storm, so a small light or sign would’ve made finding our way easier, and a wagon for our gear was not available as mentioned. Not taking any points off though — it’s a great, family and dog-friendly spot, and we can’t wait to come back for a longer stay with our dog next time!

2nd time out and I still love it, such a nice area and love being able to walk and play in the river with my kiddo. Had my mother in law along with us this time and had a chance to be in the bigger camper. We had some car trouble and were delayed but Ellie was very understanding and so helpful when we arrived, she spent time teaching us what we needed to know about the camper for the most comfortable stay! Thank you Ellie!!!

The family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Angela’s land! We stayed in Casa Avecita which was well kept and fully accommodating. There are some nice small town places to eat in the area such as “out of the way cafe” which add to the stay. There are kayaks and tubes available as well as all safety gear for rent which they make easily accessible. I wish I could leave ten stars!!! Thanks again y’all!

We enjoyed staying at Angela’s place so much and loved her vintage camper! The bed was so comfortable and the AC was top tier. If anyone is worried about their height when booking the camper, my boyfriend is 6 feet and he was able to stretch out and sleep comfortably (the side of the bed next to the sink). She provided everything we needed to cook and clean with and it’s a beautiful site from the porch. The bathrooms were clean and we loved the outdoor shower! The river was so pretty and well kept around all the areas. They had picnic tables down there to eat and hang out at. We can’t wait to come stay again and I’m excited to bring my kiddo back for a little getaway.

Great experience staying in the Scamp camper. The space is tucked away from the other cabins given the proximity of the other sites. Very adequate amenities inside (cookware, towels and silverware). I would highly recommend it for couples, no more than 2 people can comfortably stay in the space in my opinion. Very responsive and professional customer service and the riverfront felt very private and fun! Definitely staying again sometime soon.

My kids said they wanted to stay forever, they said it was dreamy to have had the “biggest backyard in the world” The house it it cute and cozy, exactly like you can see in the pictures. Even though the river water was low, my kids were able to play there and we all made wonderful memories.

I'm in love with this place. I didn't want to leave. I hesitate to even write a great review so it doesn't get all booked up. The camper was great. So many amenities and so comfortable. The farm would be crowded if all the sites were full bc they are pretty close together, but I got lucky and was the only camper on my stay. I had a blast with my dog running around this farm. You can walk to the river easily. It's shallow and a little smelly but it was cold and running and there wasn't a soul in site. If you're going to stay in the camper and want to cook, I'd bring some kitchen stuff- a good knife, cutting board, a pan. You also need to bring your own salt and oil etc. The shower was hot and they have towels. Bed was comfy. Ellie was super responsive and helpful when I had a million questions about the camper (there's lots to learn). She was also flexible with me when my plans changed. Overall, great place.
