Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away.

This was such a dreamy stay in the yurt village. My lover and I lucked up and had the place to ourselves. Everything was immaculately CLEAN! The interior design in the yurt was so cute! We had everything we could've needed in our space. My dog was in heaven running around near the lake and frolicking. I was nervous about the bathrooms but they were spotless and odor free. We had the most relaxing time. Mandy is super responsive and attentive as a host. We were always in great hands. I cannot rave enough about this stay! 10/10 recommend.

Our stay at Golden Curls Ranch was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, Angela and her entire staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. Their hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail truly set this place apart.
The accommodations were incredibly quiet, comfortable, and relaxing—the perfect place to unplug and enjoy a peaceful getaway. We also loved how family-friendly the ranch was. Our 11-year-old had an absolute blast and felt included in every part of the experience.
One of the highlights of our trip was the horseback riding right on the ranch. Angela and her staff were extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made the entire experience both safe and incredibly fun. They took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable, and their passion for what they do really shines through.
For everything that was included, the value was outstanding. The price for what we received exceeded our expectations, making this one of the best getaways we’ve had.
We would absolutely recommend Golden Curls Ranch to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly escape with wonderful people and unforgettable experiences. We will definitely be booking another stay in the future and can’t wait to come back!

Our family had a great stay at Liberty! The overall property is beautiful. We spent our time exploring the property, hanging with the animals, watching the wildlife, and making s'mores at the fire pit. The camper itself is well equipped (real toilet!) but is also 75+ years old and shows her age in some places. We were thankful for the AC as we stayed during June.

We had so much fun!! The location is great! It is so close to the riverwalk and downtown but feels so secluded! We love the deer, horses, and friendly donkey! The fireflies were awesome! I haven’t seen them like that since I was a kid. The airstream is rustic but cozy. We will be coming back!

The Hive Retreat is simply magical! When my niece asked to go camping for her birthday I wasn't sure how I, a non-camping person, could make that happen.
The Hive was the perfect solution. We could make a fire for hot dogs and s'mores. Enjoy the stars and a sunrise over the pond. Wake up to natural light through the skylight but also be in comfortable beds when we did.
The restrooms were wonderful, and the hospitality and details Mandy puts into each stay is spectacular. It truly feels above and beyond at every turn.
We cannot wait to go back and are already recommending The Hive to friends!

The cabin was very clean and well appointed. All of the basics including linens were provided. This is a large RV resort with an adult pool and a family pool, which is nice. It is directly across the street from dinosaur world, a walk-through dinosaur park with over 75 life-size dinosaur replicas. The state park allows you to view real dinosaur footprints, along with swimming, biking, hiking opportunities. Very close to Glen Rose for supplies. Fossil rim, a drive-through nature zoo, is minutes away. Definitely kid and family friendly RV park.

We love everything. The camper was small but cozy and got everything we needed. We were impressed by the bathe style, it was really cool and again it got everything we needed. The whole place was really clean and quiet. Really good for a weekend getaway. We enjoyed the bed truck for stargazing. This was an amazing place to stay! The animals were a little ilusive however it was a lot of fun hiking on their trails, which were very well maintained, to try and find them. We ended up seeing a llama and horses not to mention the beautiful Texas hill country sunset. They have incredible views here and get bonus points for their easy checkout process and sustainability efforts.
