Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Had a wonderful last minute visit camping with my two dogs and cat. The location was easy to get to and on site directions were straightforward and accurate. Conveniently located about 30mins outside of Weatherford. Hosts were friendly and helpful. All the primitive sites were labeled and each has a picnic table and fire ring. Sites are spaced out similar to what you would see at a state park. We stayed at “the point” right on the river bank. It was beautiful and had access to the water. I saw another review about neighbors lights and dogs bark; I am going to assume they stayed in the same site as us because it’s the farthest back on Gypsy moon also making it the closest to the neighboring rv park. I did notice the lights but you could easily reposition to avoid them and the dogs barked when we first got there and were setting up but then settled. Neither bothered us nor are these things in control of the hosts. Shower and bathroom in good working condition. Lots of chickens, geese and goats out near the rvs but none wandered over to primitive camping. Didn’t go in or inquire about bait shop so nothing to review but did see firewood for sale. Overall very good value for the price and I will gladly return if I’m in the area again.

Amy's place is always a welcome reprieve from the world. Situated on a nice piece of property along the river, it is a very chill vibe. If you are tent camping, I recommend the Far Far Away site. This is my second time here, and it's apparent that continued improvements have been made. She did have to shut down the honor system store because.... well, people suck. And I hate that for Amy, because she is such a sweet lady. But I understand the decision. If you come here, please be kind, respectful, and pick up any trash you see from previous campers.

Wonderful, quiet place to stay. Hosts were great, Eddie is friendly and respectful. Made sure I had firewood and gate access. Very clean out toilet close by. Quick communication, Rod is very responsive. First time solo camping and as a woman alone, I felt safe! Once I went to bed I never heard anyone. Just quiet and peaceful. My site was slightly off the road; serene area with fire pit. Electric outlet. Some sites have 30 amps or 15 amps for hookups.

*On music night weekends we may book 2 to a spot, each camper will have at least a 20x20 space.

We loved camping this weekend in our 5th wheel! Everything about it was fabulous. Becky is a great host. The only thing that was tricky for us, because we arrived after dark, was getting to the right road that lead into the property. When I called, they were very helpful and we slid right into spot #1. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we booked the site again and another spot for friends. I am definitely looking forward to our next adventure!

My Cub is only 21 ft, but deep sites for big rigs. Fairly level with shade.

Shaded sites all around for our 21 footers, yet nice and open grounds. Host was very communicative and available! Sites were deep for larger rigs. Pretty and peaceful setting with roads to walk down, and one can't beat the easy river access on a warm day. Full hookups too! Nice deep fire pits, but mine could've used some cleanup from previous campers. Nice mowed lots, but tons of leaves and some branches on the ground (to be expected this time of year on windy days). Nearby house to sites 3-4 was quiet and went unnoticed! Surprisingly, there's a bit of highway noise from miles away to the West/SW, but not enough to hinder a relaxing time. Plenty of picnic tables! I'm recommending and will return.

My family of three had a great time here. We were the only ones camping at RV sites and it was quiet all to ourselves. I also had a chance to fish for a bit and have caught a smallmouth and largemouth bass. I will be planning to come back in the future.
