Come watch the horses rescued from the wild and gentled to be used for therapy and rehabilitation.
We house Mustangs from the Bureau of Land Management and work closely with their conservation efforts.
We currently house guests 7 days a week and welcome the traveler. Come and stay with us for a night or a week. We have flexible arrival and departure times for travelers.
We are located 20 minutes outside Waco, in a beautiful ranch community surrounded by cattle ranches and thousands of acres of beautiful TX pastures. Magnolia Silos, Baylor University, and historic downtown Waco are all a 20-minute drive.
What we offer:
RV hookups, with 50-amp power, Wi-Fi, and access to the property. ($50 a night donation). RV must have a self-contained restroom.
We offer private horseback lessons, trail rides for the individual, and an on-site meet and greet with the horses. (Fees apply)
Pets are welcome on leash only.
We welcome you to the central Texas area. 100% of your donation goes directly toward the nonprofit 501©(3)’s horse feed fund.

Do you love RVing? Rv life is an incredibly popular way to have a Vacation Your Way! But sometimes the parks have tight, close together spots. You barely have enough room to get out your door & walk around; much less some privacy! Well, not our posh park in Hico, TX. We provide 8 spots with 11 feet of grassy area between each RV. Plenty of space to park on the gravel next to your RV. Do you have an extra vehicle? Well, we have parking just a short walk at the end of the driveway. Our ranch together with Tiny Town at GSD Ranch (tiny home and cabin vacation rentals) is a total of 20 acres!
Bring your Horse! We also have a horse motel and horse turnout areas. Bring your horse to stay close by and feel free to ride him and explore the 20 acres of ranch life! Next door at Tiny Town at GSD Ranch we have a large community fire pit, dumpster for your garbage and fun animals to visit (sheep, donkey, cows…and of course our German Shepherd Dogs (Ask?--litters often available!).

Our land is the perfect place to take a walk and ground yourself in nature. We have a small bamboo forest and creek to explore and search for artifacts. We have chickens, pigs, ducks and turkeys. you could Sit next to our pond and enjoy a picnic or lay in a hammock under the trees and take a nap. We enjoyed staying at Wendy's RV Campground because of the location! It was far enough out of town to avoid the noise, but close enough to go into town for supplies or to eat at one of the restaurants! We enjoyed being out in the country side and the solitude!

We stayed at Site 1 and absolutely loved it. The view of the riverbank was perfect, peaceful and beautiful. It was ultra quiet, which made it even more relaxing. Our kids (almost 2 and 7) had so much fun running around and playing games in the open space.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a calm, scenic spot to unwind with family!

We had a great time at Regena's place! It was our first trip with our youngster, so it was a bit of a trial run. Everything went great. Regena is close by and easy to get a hold of, but doesn't impede on you at the same time. She is a fantastic host- super nice and accommodating. Exactly the type of host you want. The location is outside of the city and is rural, but is also only a 12 minute drive to the grocery store for when you realize you forgot your coffee, like I did. There are some houses relatively close to the RV site, but all the properties have acreage, so the closest is about about a hundred yards away and is hidden behind trees, even in winter months when the trees aren't bloomed. Overall we enjoyed it very much and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Wendy and Kevin. They are super nice people and came by as I was getting checked in to make sure I got settled. When I accidentally left something at my site, Wendy reached out to me and we were able to get my items back to me. I am looking forward to my next trip to the area and will definitely be staying there again. The facilities clean and well kept. The grounds were beautiful. I arrived in the dark and it was nice to make up to the rolling, tree-covered hills.
