Super great place!! I was by myself and felt safe and enjoyed the tranquil scenery with tons of birds and wild life. The creek was perfect! Host were available if I needed anything. I will definitely be going back!!

Our family loved the privacy, creek, pizza oven area and large stones around the firepit. The cows were so cute and the family was helpful in bringing some extra firewood for us. We definitely look forward to coming back again! There is a bit of a slope down to the creek but the rope to climb back up was especially helpful for our son.

Fun campsite perched atop a clean spring fed creek. Host was communicative and helpful. Amenities not often found at other spots made the trip very fun and memorable for us.

1 night at Turquoise Acres Ranch

Bethany was helpful and accommodating, especially considering the last minute nature of my booking. I was only there for a quick overnight stop, but looks like a great place when they have events. There's a barbecue food truck, restrooms, animals, playground for the kids, and a large communal fire pit area.

7 nights at Magnolia Beach RV Park

Nice quiet park. Reserving a particular site is loosly organized. We reserved site 1 but therr was someone in it. Another camper told us to park anywhere. Seems that happens a lot. Good gravel pads with concrete patios with broken down picnic tables.

4 nights at Canal Front with Fishing Pier

The lot was clean and nicely mowed. We enjoyed the fence for our pup so she didn't have to be on a tether. We enjoyed checking out the neighborhood on our bikes. Was actually surprised at how few of the neighbors were there given the holiday week so it was nice and peaceful given the location (i.e. not "camping"). All RV utilities worked well and the pad was nice and level. Couldn't have asked for more in regards to the structure and pad site! We have a 33ft bumper pull and it was a bit difficult to see the "driveway" markers at night with arriving after dark (in the fall) and it was a bit of a tight turn with a narrow road but we made it :). We came to fish over the first part of Thanksgiving week so it was a real bummer that the fishing light didn't work, especially given it was in the fall and dark by 6pm. My fiance hadn't been able to do any fishing this year and desperately needed some time away (elderly parent is ill and works with inner city youth) so we were really counting on fishing at the site once the sun went down in the evening. We messaged host the first night but she didn't get the notification until the day before we left. She did offer to have someone come and fix or replace the light but given it was our last night there, we passed. Everything else was absolutely wonderful though! We would recommend this site to others and may consider a summer stay in the future as the cover would provide great shade from the Texas sun in summer!

This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. I hope that you too can understand why we always walk alway feeling like this is a very special spot! Enjoy pizza oven, grill, fire pit, picnic table, hot tub, swimming, fishing, exploring and knowing your party is the only people that you be on this site. Update: Off the grid hot tub is back!!!

Welcome to Magnolia Beach RV Park in Port Lavaca, Texas! We are a small RV park that offers electric, water, sewer, trash, and WiFi. All sites are 50, 30, and 20 Amp and have water and sewer hookups. Pets are welcome! We are close to Magnolia Beach, Port Lavaca business district, and Indianola. When you feel the gulf breezes, you know you've made it to Goose Island. Nestled near St. Charles and Aransas Bays, this Texas state park is all about the water. We're talking boating, kayaking, fishing, and birdwatching along the coast. The only thing you can't do is swim. (Sorry.) That said, there's plenty of luck to be had on the 1,620-foot fishing pier. A boat launch and kayak/canoe launch are also available. Remember to bring your own boat! No stay is complete without visiting the main attraction—a 1,000-year-old oak lovingly dubbed The Big Tree. (Don't worry, it's still standing strong in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.) We primarily cater to month to month guests working in the area so there's not a ton of activities around, but my wife and I are full-time RV'ers so we are hosts as a way to give back to our awesome community. We are located super close to Magnolia Beach though where there is free beach camping for 14 nights! Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. Coushatte Recreation Ranch Community

Established in 1877 by the Nelius Family, the ranch began as a cotton and cattle farming operation, utilizing horses in the fields until 1948. In 1973, Trenckmann and Margie Nelius transformed their vision into reality by founding Coushatte Recreation Ranch, initially offering just 24 campsites. Over the years, the campground has expanded significantly to accommodate 225 sites, complete with full hookups for both 30 and 50 amp service. The campground's name pays homage to the Coushatte Indians, and visitors can explore an Indian Mound on the property, where numerous arrowheads have been discovered. After many years of dedicated management, Trenckmann and Margie passed the torch to their son Howard and his wife Pamela, who operated the ranch until November 2019. The campground is now under the ownership of George Jarkesy, who aims to enhance the experience for guests.
