The lake is accessible by hiking on the property down to the lake or driving about three miles to the Stamford Marina which has a boat ramp and parking. This was pure rural awesomeness! David is a great host who greets you then leaves you to your peace. I loved seeing the cows in the adjacent pasture and there are a couple of friendly horses across the road who might come to the fence and say hello. I had a relaxing few days here and will come back next time I'm in the Abilene area.
