You will experience lots of wildlife during your stay. Feel free to grill out and build a fire. The property is on a dead-end road, has a huge yard, and tons of parking. There is also a pond on sight if you like to fish. There are 2 back patios and a balcony off of the master upstairs. The house easily sleeps 10. Our farm is a 10-minute drive from multiple Tennessee State Parks, including Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, Cane Hollow and many more. We're within a day's drive to even more selections of the best hiking trails, cliffs, outdoor attractions, and waterfalls in the entire state. Our farm is a perfect halfway point between Nashville, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Anyone looking to take their time getting between the three cities in order to explore the natural beauty of East Tennessee will fall in love with Sparta! Our farm has a new designated parking area for your truck, trailer, or van. (No RVs please... at least not yet!) When you arrive, come to the gate that's closest to our horse riding rink, across the street from our largest barn. Call the number provided and Frank, (our owner, head farmer, and kindly steward) will unlock the gate that leads to your parking spot. Don't worry, your parking space won't be anywhere near the cattle... but we'll be happy to safely introduce you to the herd if you'd like. Please camp next to your vehicle, and provide your own toilet. The house on the property is for Frank's use only. Please clean up after yourself, and don't mess with any animals without Frank's supervision. Cattle and horses can hurt you if you interact with them unsupervised. The land is awesome. Weather was perfect, so we just slept outside the tent on the deck in a sleeping bag and hammock. We were there when their Halloween Haunted Woods was open, and that was amazing to experience!

1 night at Mollys Ridge Glamping and Camping

The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm. The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in. It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is such a peaceful spot. The cabin was well stocked for an off grid camp. Coffee, plates and cups were all provided. It is a bit of a hike from the parking lot but nothing too intense.

Weekend Trip to Rum Creek Cattle Farm

Frank, the host, was welcoming and gave us a nice tour of the farm when we arrived. We camped near the riding ring, which offered a wide, open space. If you're planning to use a hammock, be sure to bring a stand, as there aren’t any trees in that area. For tents, the ground was soft and free of rocks, making it easy to set up and comfortable for sleeping. During our stay, we enjoyed meeting the cows and horses—especially Pretzel, who completely stole my heart. At night, the farm felt magical. Fireflies lit up the dark, and we drifted off to the calming sounds of frogs, ducks, and birds echoing across the fields. The air was rich with the sweet scent of hay, grass, flowers, and trees—it truly felt like a serene escape.

My pup and I had a wonderful stay on Ashley’s land. The A-frame was perfectly placed in the woods and after a mini hike to it, we settled in and enjoyed nature’s sounds and peace. Would definitely recommend a visit. Do pack light though as its a small hike up to camp. I had a small bag, pup pack and a cooler and broke a good sweat to get to it. Will for sure return next time I’m in town!

Great private spot, wonderful rock for ring. Everything supplied for eating a meal and making coffee, taking a good hot shower! Thank you for thinking of the small things. We cooked steaks on the fire ring, it was perfect. The tent stayed warm with the propane heater!
