On The Rocks Campsite

1 site · Lodging1 acre · Watertown, TN
We are a 4 Season campsite, offering a fan and shaded areas in the summer, and a small fireplace electric heater in the cooler months. Brand new Bell 16 foot round tent built on sturdy cedar deck on top of a cluster of large limestone rocks in beautiful grove of mostly Maple and Oak trees. My oldest son Ben, and I built this campsite this year from both our visions, and tried to make it a truly magical setting. Ben was also featured in two episodes of Building Off The Grid, on the Discovery Channel, so he put quite a bit of expertise and knowledge into our site. Also features cedar outhouse with composting toilet, cedar bridges built across rocks, as well as hammock area, picnic table and gas grill. Firepit has 4 Adirondack chairs, natural log seating and several more folding chairs, pillows and outdoor blankets stored in waterproof chest. Tent features a queen size bed, adult size folding cot stored under bed, 2 upholstered chairs set up as reading/relaxing nook, coffee maker, fan and Yeti battery pack for electrical and charging needs. We will provide drinking water and extra water for washing up. We supply all linens and dishware needs. First Aid Kit is provided, but we are just a short walk through the woods if you need anything. Nestled on 1 acre of our 10 acre hobby farm, which includes Peacocks, chickens, 4 cats, 5 Collies and a Weimaraner named Maggie, as well as a boarding horse and very friendly dwarf goat named Pickles. You may also see wildlife, such as deer and turkey, strolling down the meadow on the lower part of your site. Strands of lighting and battery candles provide a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere in the evenings. Fire pit area features large metal ice bucket, with coolers available if you need one. For additional fees we can provide you with firewood, fresh eggs, homemade breads, cookies, and ask us about some home cooked meals which will be available this fall.

Crossing Creeks Farm

3 sites · Lodging125 acres · Shelbyville, TN
In December of 2012, our family purchased 125 acres located in south central Tennessee, Bedford County. With no permanent driveway, two creeks to cross to access the land, barbed wire fence everywhere and an old hay barn, there was much work ahead to be done. We have made many improvements over the years but the two creeks offer the same beauty. Now two bridges and a driveway cross over the two creeks before they merge into one, producing the name Crossing Creeks Farm. We are passionate about producing great food for our family’s table and yours. With a commitment to producing pasture raised, organic fed and soy free everything through regenerative farming practices, our focus is grass-fed meats and eggs. Our second passion is hosting guests right here on the farm with unique farm stays.Learn more about this land:At Crossing Creeks Farm, we are passionate about producing pasture raised, organic fed, soy free food for our family's table and yours. We are now offering our private farm campsite complete with outdoor bathhouse and picnic pavilion. This site offers many comforts of home but while still enjoying the outdoors unplugged. Each Adirondack cabin is open air with the front fully screened. Upon arrival, park in front of our farm store where we will meet you with our tractor and wagon to load your belongings. We will deliver your gear to the campsite located across the creek while you get a brief tour of the bathhouse and facilities. Our private campsite sits in the bend of one of our farm's creeks with two large old trees in the middle, along with a fire pit, picnic pavilion, 2 Adirondack cabins, and an outdoor bathhouse. The pavilion and bathhouse have beautiful solar powered string lights that automatically come on at dark. The front of the campsite sits just outside our horses' pasture. So while sipping your morning cup of coffee, you may see horses or wild turkey or even deer.
