You'll be surprised at how cool the tents stay under the forest canopy in the heat of summer. Then in the colder months we have various heating options to keep you cozy in 3 of the dwellings I hope you come to share this with us, it's an amazingly peaceful area. Nearly 3 miles of hiking trails to enjoy during your visit. Take a spur trail off the main trail loop and there is a prayer shelter with a fire pit inspired by Luke 6:12 in the back corner of the property. Located at the edge of the prarie on the main trail is a sunrise/sunset/bird-watching platform that is 20 feet in the air with a 2 stage bridge to access it. We updated the outdoor kitchen with a 3 burner propane stove, propane grill and hot running water with a 3 bay sink. Other cooking options include a tripod over the fire and a charcoal grill. A short 10-minute drive to fire tower rd. brings you to a 2 mile loop trail with 2 waterfalls, Upper and Lower Piney Falls. Ozone falls is just a 20 minute drive. Then toward Spring City is Stinging Fork Falls at 25 minutes. Black mountain is my new favorite place especially the south overlook! The Hiking possibilities are nearly endless and close. I'll highlight one thru hike here since both trailheads are only 20 minutes away and is easy to coordinate with only 2 vehicles. It's a 10.2 mile hike that can be done in either direction and has a little something for everyone including a cave, boulder field, cascade and waterfall. Then you have massive Watts Bar Lake which is only 20 minutes away with a plethora of activities including the excursions we offer! We look forward to hosting you!

This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Welcome to our place on the hill! We have a wonderful view of Watts Bar Lake and the Clinch River, and we’d love to share it with you. We have a mini homestead going — cats roam the property, and we have four dogs, a cow, a few pigs, goats, rabbits, chickens, geese, turkeys and ducks. The large animals are fenced within three acres of the property, the others are free to roam. The other four acres are open for camping! You can tent camp in the center loop (Rascal Flatts), near the garden (Faith Hill), or overlooking the rabbits at the other end of the garden (Cypress Hill). If you have a camper or small RV, you can park anywhere on the loop or on the grass, with views of the water or the farm animals. There are children’s swings and play equipment, fire pits, and tables available on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have a 24-ft Class C RV that sleeps two adults and two to three kids comfortably, available for rent ($125 per night with advanced notice. Bathroom, kitchen, water, propane included). We are a family of four. We homeschool, love live music, and are first-time farmers learning as we go. We live in the house on the property, and you’ll likely see us out feeding the animals and tidying up. Feel free to say hello — or not! If you’d like a home-cooked breakfast or a fresh loaf of sourdough bread, just ask and we can arrange it (breakfast $7 per person, loaf of bread $10). Firewood is also available (free of charge if available), fresh farm eggs ($3 for half dozen if available). We’re about 90 minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park, two hours from Nashville and Chattanooga, and close to tons of live music venues in Knoxville, along with caves and great restaurants. We loved our stay in the a-frame and wish we could have stayed more than one night. It was cozy and tucked away with a beautiful view of lush green forest. We had the entire place to ourselves which was magical and restorative. The mattress was also very comfortable which was a plus! Liz kindly also provided extra gear (blanket, bug spray, lamp) since we had flown in and didn’t have extra gear. She was so hospitable and generous during our brief stay. We kept the window-wall up all night and had a great night’s sleep in the fresh air!

Patrick's Point is a great campsite. Options are available for tent camping, cabins, and really cool treehouse sheds. Great birdwatching, kayaking and just enjoying a peaceful place. Very clean and well-maintained. The hosts are so friendly and live on-site if you ever need anything or want to hear a good story. Order the Costa Rican breakfast--you'll be glad you did.

We stayed in a really cute, small barn-style space that clearly had a lot of handmade character and charm. You can tell a lot of it was built with a personal touch, which gives it a unique feel. That said, the ladder leading up to the loft was very petite and a bit difficult to use. Overall, it has potential and a lot of charm! We loved the plants and garden.

We absolutely loved our time at The Heart Center. Liz has created such a beautiful and safe space. We hosted our own small retreat and feel like we were called to this site. Liz was an amazing host, and we will definitely be back for future retreats. The bathrooms were really nice, the gym was nice to do activities while it rained and the meditation room was so peaceful. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

We really enjoyed the glamping experience at Clare! When we first arrived on the property, we were greeted by horses that were lined up on the fence. The tent was well equipped with solar lighting on the porch, battery for chargers, lanterns, easy availability to purchase fire wood. We appreciated the camping potty near the tent in the middle of the night, just wasn’t sure what to do with the used bags as there wasn’t instructions in the welcome folder. The outdoor shower was a fun experience and the view of the stars was magnificent!

2 nights at GlampKnox Canvas Campground

This was a beautiful place. It was close to Knoxville and to Sevierville, but out of the traffic. It was very close to I40, and was very easy to find, even in the dark. You could hear the interstate traffic from the property, but not bad enough to inhibit sleep if you ran a fan or something. I was a little hesitant at first about the (outdoor) shower, which I had to ask about in order to locate. It's on the front of the stable building, which feels very exposed. That's the side of the building that faces the road, and incoming drive. However, there was no traffic in there at night time and we were usually the only guests. I just used it at night time, and it was actually kind of nice since you could see the stars some. The water was plenty hot, and it was a nice shower head. I could see this being a little awkward if you were there with many other guests and/or they were having maybe a wedding or other similar event out there at the same time. The "stable" looks set up inside for a wedding venue. So, I assume that's what it's usually used for. I stayed at the tent/cabin that was up the road from the other 3, which are fairly close together, and it was very private up there. However, the hill up there is pretty steep, and there isn't anywhere flat to park. That may not matter to most people, since they probably plan to sleep in the tent/cabin, but I let my dad sleep in there and I needed to crash in my converted van. So, I had to seek flatter ground. Just something to note.

4 nights at Awakening Adventures

We were lucky that we were the only guests there. My children enjoyed the forest a playing with the owners’ dogs. We loved the shower house and enjoyed taking showers every night. The tent was great, had everything we needed and temperature stayed comfortable there our whole stay. The owners were very kind and accommodating! Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future!

5 nights at GlampKnox Canvas Campground

We were pleasantly surprised with how wonderful our stay was at GlampKnox! We were expecting the basics of glamping i.e. Temperate Shower, the reinforced tent, and nice beds. However, GlampKnox takes it to the next step for their residents providing us with all the goodies we didn't think we would have: a power bank, fresh towels, a lantern, indoor trash can, and a HOT shower! On top of everything, throughout the extended stay the hosts did a wonderful job responding to and providing our needs whether firewood, water, or charging bank while promptly cleaning and resetting the other sites for the next guest.
