The campground is an easy distance to Downtown Knoxville and an even easier access to all that South Knox's Urban Wilderness has to offer. It uniquely offers a hint of backcountry camping without the 25-mile hike in. It is a great way to test the waters for primitive camping or an easy stop close to the city for a seasoned traveler. If you have more in your group, we recommend reserving an adjoining campsite. Sites 1, 2 and 3 are off the main path to the left of the property, and still by the creek. The Islandsite is probably one of, if not the most unique and beautiful campsites I’ve stayed at. Brian communicated everything we needed to know ahead of our arrival. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend bringing everything you plan on needing before arriving as the road into town is quite lengthy.

This spot was exactly the breath of fresh air I needed. The sites were beautifully maintained, the views were stunning, and the hosts were wonderfully communicative. I ended up extending my stay—twice! I even caught the northern lights during the solar flares, which made the whole experience feel magical. Sitting beside the creek was the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the day—it added a gentle rhythm to the whole trip. The location is peaceful yet close enough to town to be convenient. Highly recommend.

The location is convienent, well kept and pretty private. The port-o-john was immaculate!! Seriously, the creek was lovely, the site (#10) was perfect for us but I was most impressed with the port-a-potty. Someone takes really good care to keep it clean which is most appreciated for those of us who don't have bathrooms in our campers.

We had a wonderful time staying at Private Glamping w/ Outdoor Shower at Private Glamper/HOT TUB/MNTN VIEWS. Our hosts were so kind and thoughtful, and the setup was excellent and had everything one needs for a very comfortable and memorable glamping experience. The hot tub was definitely a highlight for us. Despite a sudden cold front coming in, the camper was always at a comfortable temperature and we never felt cold at night, even with outside temperatures dropping below freezing. Thank you again to our generous hosts for a great stay in this little oasis in Bryson City. We look forward to visiting again.

I had such a peaceful time at Kimber’s farm. I really enjoyed seeing the horse and donkey while it still felt relaxing and quiet. Close enough to some touristy stuff but also felt adequately tucked away.

This was a great place for our one night camping trip. I like that this place isn’t just concrete pads and feels more like you are camping out in the woods or meadow! I brought my fly rod and actually caught a few little fish I was so surprised! We would definitely go back and stay again!

Danny was super nice. He helped us settle and gave recommendations for the local area that we were able to use. The location is close to the downtown area of the small town and not too far from things to do. The site itself was very clean and level and well taken care of and right on the water. It's a little difficult to get down to the stream but it's beautiful nonetheless. A great place to stay awhile.

We truly enjoyed our stay here! This was our second time camping at Brian’s land, and we finally got to meet him in person , he is so kind, caring, and genuinely checks in to make sure we were comfortable. He even helped guide us with some great hiking routes nearby, which made the trip even better. The campsite itself is beautiful, peaceful, and the perfect getaway if you love nature. We highly recommend this spot, and future Hipcampers should know that the host is very approachable and the land is amazing. We will definitely come back again! 🌲🏕️

Weekend Trip to The Heart Center

My wife and I stayed in the yurt to get away from the noise and celebrate my birthday and the Heart Center truly delivered. The land and energy this place holds is incredible. Liz was a fantastic host and both my wife and I were able to have a reiki session with her while staying here. To stay it was transformational for both of us would be an understatement. Both of us learned so much from our sessions and left the Heart Center feeling lighter both physically & emotionally. We will definitely visit again in the future and Liz - thank you for what you do and putting together such an amazing place of healing and warmth admist the natural beauty of the area.
