Enjoy glamping in our optional 2017 19' retro style camper with a bathroom aJust 35 minutes west of Loveless Cafe' in Nashville and 20 minutes south of the Dickson exit at I40. The 48 acre campground has just 3 big tent sites for more seclusion and is almost all old forest with wide trails and huge old growth trees. There is about a 1/2 acre of field to park in between the road and the creek if you don't have an off road vehicle. The rest is woods. Mother Nature has a lot to offer when you cross the creek into the first two campsites that are on the 30' creek. One big spring runs through the middle of the 2 sites with small cascading waterfalls. Both sites have string lights and 120V extension cords. These two sites are separated by the driveway and about 150' apart but a bridge connects the two if you have another couple that wants to join you these two spots are perfect for privacy and companionship. Expand the pictures to a full screen as you scroll so the description will show up at the bottom of the picture. Not all pictures are on the property but describe close places to visit as well. FIREWOOD: Split wood is available upon request and sold in the area (if it's available at the time) or any fallen dead wood from the forest is free. $7.00 for a 20" bundle. Please let us know ahead of time or order it on the site. SITE 1: The nicer of the two sites along the creek, has granite counters, a round fire pit with a fold down heavy cooking grate, charcoal grill and a large wrought iron table and chairs. RENT A CAMPER WITH SITE 1 or BRING YOUR PERSONAL CAMPER: Our retro style 2017 option on the other side of the creek with stairs and stones to cross the creek. Sometimes the walking stones get washed out. 30 amp. 240 and 120 volt plugs. Click on additional fees for camper electrical hook up. SITE 2: Also along side the 30' creek. There is a round steel fire pit surrounded with wrought iron chairs, a separate picnic table, granite countertop work space and a small grill. 2 fairly flat areas for tents. Set your chairs in the creek in front of your site. The clear cold water is a great place to relax and cool off or watch crawfish, minnows and salamanders and the occasional blue herron. 120V and string lights. Parking is a little tight unless you're in a Jeep of more off road vehicle that can park up the hill a bit. SITE 3: "Still Hollow" is more private and located right in the middle valley of the property where a different spring fed creek runs down the wooded valley. There is no electricity but you can still enjoy the sound of small cascading waterfalls and a creek that runs along the side of the site for a relaxing sleep. There is a granite countertop, charcoal grill and a fire ring. A small round wrought iron table and 4 chairs are there for a place to eat lunch. The old moonshine barrels are still barely standing by the spring. This site is also accessed from the opposite side of the campground on Ben Fly Rd or Greer Rd for the serious off roaders. 4 wheel drive may be necessary but a Hyundai car entered through the creek in 2 wheel drive. It was dry though. STAR GAZING for all 3 sites: There is a cleared area on top of a hill side for stargazing far from the city lights. CHECK IN: Check in can be as early as like if the present campers have checked out. You can always hang out elsewhere on the property and start your day to explore and hike till they leave. Just let us know in advance. And you can stay all day the day of check out but you may have to pack up and park elsewhere if other campers need the spot. If not. Stay till dark. PHOTOS: EXPAND THE PHOTOS TO A SINGLE VIEW! Some photos are of nearby attractions. You can see the description of each photo and which site is in the picture when you expand them. VEHICLE TYPE AND PARKING: In order to drive up into the campsite, you may need a 4x4 vehicle but definitely need ground clearance. Drive around the local dirt roads for miles and learn the history of Moon Shine Alley, drive through many creeks and see some beautiful views. We took to tour with Fisher and it was a blast. This company supports the locals and cleans up the trash on the sides of the roads; a great service to the area. We loved the glamping cabin and the views. It matches the description well. Great place to stargaze too we spotted some meteors as well! But it was super chilly and there was just one heater so that was little hard to sleep we assumed there would be more. But in summer I think it would have been the best. We didn't get to interact with hosts a lot but they were super responsive. Would definitely recommend but come geared up.

This property is truly a hidden gem! The scenery is stunning — very peaceful, perfect for both camping and glamping. Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch

We had the best time at Sacred Dog Ranch this past weekend and feel like we made lifelong friends with Lisa and Gary. Our dog, Sage, played with his fellow Dal new friends, my daughter rode Fancy the gorgeous horse and we felt like instant family. It’s right outside Nashville and remote enough we didn’t feel like we were in a cookie cutter suburb. Lisa was so welcoming and generous with her authentic self. My kids and I loved our visit and will be back.

Sacred Dog Ranch is unreal! The hosts are the kindest people ever. We got to ride horses, hang out with the sweetest dogs, and even feed a fox (!!). The whole place feels open and peaceful—outdoor shower, hot tub, fresh tomatoes from the garden—it’s just the perfect spot to reset and recharge. Already dreaming about going back.

Absolutely amazing! Jimmys hospitality was unmatched! Such a great open area - fun swing for the kids and the low creek was perfect to walk through or relax with some fold out chairs with your feet in the river. The rv was great and has everything you need. Such a beautiful area - well kept and clear pathways and safe crossings from the rv to the fire pit! He’s got a grill plate right on the fire pit perfect for cooking and a nice outdoor cooking area and big table with chairs. We loved it & our kids had the best time. Jimmy and his property were the best! Can’t wait to come back!

2 nights at Sacred Dog Ranch

Beautiful property and friendly hosts. My kids got to name kittens and enjoyed seeing all the livestock. We spent hours roaming around the gardens or in the woods, down to the creek. The cabin is very cool. My wife and I particularly enjoyed sitting on the porch for an afternoon rain storm. Quick drive to Lenny’s Country Kitchen for great food.

It is a beautiful property with a lot to see. We weren't able to explore with Jimmy this trip, but would if we had the opportunity. We slept to the sound of the water next to us flowing and the frogs croaking.. and not to be forgotten...fireflies! Jimmy is very friendly, communicates well with you and will tend to anything you want or need.

This was such a great experience and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area! Lisa was so welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I made friends with all the dogs and even got a little cat drool in my lap. The cabin itself was a work of art, literally, and I was spoiled for a place to sleep. If youre into art, this place is a haven. My only regret is that I had to wake up and leave early to beat the rain.

Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch

Lisa is super friendly and willing to go out of her way to accommodate you if possible. The cabin my friend and I stayed in was one room with a screened in front porch, it had a bunk bed with full or queen bed on the bottom. There was a mini fridge. No running water but she brought us a gallon of water and a couple cups. There is an outhouse nearby that seemed pretty clean, no smell! She’s working on improving the WiFi signal there. I used my own data. Was able to park right in front of the cabin. Lots of friendly dogs here. Recommend!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Dog Ranch

WILL BE REVISITING! The hosts are lovely, friendly, interesting people who will treat you like you’re a close friend. I brought my dog with me and she had a great time playing with their 8 dogs on the property, and the screened in porch is a game changer! There are a couple fun farm animals around. The cabin is perfect for a camping/shelter feel, a bed in a comfy decorated studio with windows. nothing too fancy just how we like it! Some of the cabins are still a work in progress so I’m very excited to visit Lisa and Gary in the future :) thankful to have found this and them!

Weekend Trip to Lionsgate Campground

It's a gorgeous location - super relaxing, lots of fun things to do. Jimmy is also probably the best host we've ever had. He is so thoughtful and strikes the perfect balance of being helpful while still giving plenty of space to guests. If you're thinking of staying here DO IT - you will be impressed and likely become a return visitor, I know we will be!
