Each site is expansive, with large areas to spread out and enjoy the views or play yard games. All of our RV sites feature views of the surrounding peaks and have full hook ups with, water, septic and 30 or 50 amp power access, high speed wi-fi access at each site as well as a picnic table and in ground fire pits. Wiseman Ridge provides the peace and quiet of nature at its finest, with easy direct access to the Blue Ridge Parkway by foot or by road. We are just a mile down the parkway from the entrance to the Linville Falls parking lot and picnic area, and 2 miles from Kistler Memorial Highway (Old NC 105) that provides access to the western rim of Linville Gorge and multiple trailheads. Our campground is for conventional travel trailers and motorhomes only. This is one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Mike was a great host, very friendly and easy to talk to. The bathhouse gets 5 stars from us. Heated water as well as heated room. We stayed in Dome #3 and it was clean and comfortable. The heated blanket was a very helpful for our cold evenings. We stayed 11/7-11/9 and have already started planning another trip to try the backpack sites. It is a beautiful property.

Wonderful campground. The host (Mike?) was accommodating, pleasant and was helpful with the orientation of the grounds. Spacious with trails right on site that we enjoyed immensely. We appreciated that it was pet friendly! A nice place to star gaze. Overall our stay was enjoyable.

Such a great family run campground. We loved it! It's definitely a good 15 min hike to the camp site but worth the privacy, especially if you have a pup!♥️

Weekend Trip to Blue Bear Mountain Camp

We absolutely LOVED this place! We were worried when we were booking relatively late and had a hard time finding quality spots, then came across this place. It was AMAZING. We rented both a yurt and a tent site for 4 adults, 6 kids, and 1 dog. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and play soccer or throw frisbee. We had big fires at night around the campfire. My wife and the other mom just LOVED their yurts (though the kids weren't as impressed when they found out they were sleeping in a tent, ha). Bathrooms were close and clean, and there was a sink to wash dishes. I also loved how though there were other campers there, we didn't feel "on top" of them and had plenty of room. Our dog was welcomed and we had a blast. Plus, we were only like 15 minutes from Boone. There's also lots of trails to explore and 150 acres, we when we (not if we) come back, we'll have a lot more exploring to do! We have written this place down as a favorite and will FOR SURE be coming back again.
