Doni was an incredibly gracious and kind host who went above and beyond to be helpful! The property was perfect for our single night trip, and there seem to be several different sites available depending on what you’re looking for. The spot we selected had a fire ring, had enough room for several tents, and felt secluded even though it was just a 3 minute walk back to our vehicles. There is some road noise at night you can hear, but otherwise we had a wonderful time.
We had some success fishing as well along the river, which was quite exciting. The paddle board was fun as well. Would love to come back with a larger group.

We absolutely loved the relaxed and private nature of our stay. The sound of the water and the peaceful surroundings were everything we needed to unwind. We stayed under the RV cover in our campervan and extended tent due to the rain which completely kept us dry! The host checked in on is by text and were proactive in all their instructions and information. I highly recommend and plan to come back!

Micah and Rachel were the sweetest hosts that we hope we can now call our friends. We hope to visit them again soon because we enjoyed their safe and serene property, hospitality, and proximity to Fall Creek Falls. Micah gifted us fire wood and margaritas for our first night and we even left with fresh eggs! Staying with them was a tremendous blessing and we are forever grateful for them. This site would support any style rig or camping. Amazing stargazing on clear nights.

Kurt and Maria are wonderful people. I had two water leaks in our motorhome upon arrival. Kurt took the time to help me get parts and even soldered a cracked copper water line within the on demand water heater. We were up and running less than 24 hours and got to enjoy Fall Creek Falls which is only a few miles from their Hip-camp. Visited with Kurt and Maria every evening and had fun conversations. If we ever get back to that area we will be looking them up. Thanks Kurt and Maria

Kurt was incredibly helpful. We had a few things that went wrong with our rv and Kurt was very available to help. We offered him some money to help and he would not take what we offered. Kurt and Maria are amazing hosts. I can’t recommend them enough. There place was only a few miles outside of fall creek falls state park which we could not get a reservation in. In my opinion Howland’s hideout was much better than staying in the park Plus we got to hang out with sassy and star. Their dogs. Amazing

My sons and I had a great time. The host was very hospitable and helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay on the property. The fishing was great…we caught several bluegill and redeye bass. We decided to stay at the more secluded campsite. I would recommend if you decide to stay at the more remote site to bring something to help you tote all of your gear. It’s about a 1/4 mile walk to the site. Overall we had a great visit and I would definitely recommend staying here. We hope to come back sometime soon.

This is a beautiful spot with multiple options for camping. We especially enjoyed the river, which though cold was wonderful for a refreshing swim. The hosts were extremely prompt with communication, and made sure we had everything we needed. Do be aware - as other campers have mentioned, there are multiple cameras around the property, but there is a campsite a bit further walk that feels more private if the cameras bother you. Overall we loved our stay and would certainly come back!
