Loved it here! Office staff was friendly. Showers were hot, clean, and plentiful. All major conveniences were available, and get this….they had a food truck that took orders and delivered food to your site!
Setting was beautiful.
I would recommend this to everyone!

The atmosphere is calming and peaceful, away from any hustle and hustle of tourism. Bears Den is less than an hour from any popular attraction in the area, including Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial. Available are some canvas tents, set up like a bedroom at home. Also available is a small cabin, as well as sites to set up your own tent. I was able to use my hammock, with a few trees close enough to do so, in my tent site. Tammy is very warm and welcoming Hostess. She'll do anything within her power to make you feel more comfortable. She helped make my South Dakota visit the best I could imagine.

Enjoyed the space very much even though it’s a busy campground. Great location. The tent sites are secluded and peacefully away from all the trailers and campers. Hot showers were a treat. Recommend arriving before dark if possible — arrival without light was not easy. More light/reflectors on signage would be helpful!

1 night at Bear Den Cabins & Camp
We enjoyed our stay in Bear Den’s glamping tent so much that we extended our vacation an additional day. Tammy is fantastic and her place is quiet and beautiful. She has included everything you need for a relaxing and fun stay. We loved the stars at night.

This was a beautiful spot. Though the sites are fairly close together, it still felt secluded when facing the trees. We stayed at a water/electric site typically meant for RVs but used it for tent camping, so we had plenty of space. The site had a picnic table, fire pit, and trees perfect for hammocks. The ground is rocky, so keep that in mind if you’re using an air mattress. You may hear generators from nearby RVs, but overall everyone was quiet and respectful. Bathrooms and showers were clean and a short walk away. The campground was easy to find, and Jennifer was very responsive and accommodating.

Great place to camp! Showers were hot. Sites were close, but far enough apart to feel alone when sitting around the fire pit. Pine trees and the views were beautiful. Host was super accommodating for late night arrival as we were coming from a view states over. Will definitely stay here again if we're in town! Super close to Black Hills National Forest and Wind Cave for nature lovers!

We loved our stay here. We were on the lower section of land and the view is beautiful. It's quiet and peaceful and our kids had room to explore and run! The sites and surrounding area are kept well maintained and clean. When we asked if we could extend our stay by a day, Garret was quick to respond! We will recommend this campground to others and hope to stay here with our family in the future.
