The view was beautiful! Although it is a ways off the highway most of the way was paved. The hosts were friendly and even provided us with fresh fruit. Be aware you are next to a cow pasture so flies may be an issue in late summer. The outhouse was acceptable. The water is via a hose which brought back great memories of childhood. Firewood was available.

What a perfect spot to escape life for a bit! Francis was very welcoming, the campsite was great… on top of a canyon and close to the river. If you want to camp out in the middle of nowhere, under the stars, with a great sunset, this is your place!!

Francis's land was a great find. If you are ever in the area I would highly recommend staying there. The road leading to the property was actually well maintained and smooth going over the cattle guards. It was peaceful and not a person in sight. Was exactly what our group wanted. Plenty of places to setup camp.

We enjoyed staying the night on Jo’s land. The hookups were great for our 39 foot class A with 3 AC units. Jo and Gene greeted us, along with some of their visiting family members. We recommended getting off the beaten path to enjoy the quiet surroundings, friendly owners, and beautiful sunset!

Francis' place is lovely. My dog and I walked down to the Niobrara River as soon as we woke up and it was gorgeous. I also had a chance to speak with him for a while. He's a very knowledgeable and friendly guy with an impressive cattle and crop operation. Even though it was a little cloudy, I could still see more stars than I would have been able to see on a clear day in the Minnesota city where I live. Thanks, Francis!

We loved staying at Cedar canyon. It was private, safe and very quiet. We stayed in campsite 5. Had full power, ours is 30amp and water hook ups. It was a drive through site which was very convenient. Camp site 9 would be my next choice as it over looks the valley. There's an outdoor kitchen type area as well. We met Jo while setting up. Very sweet and welcome conversation. It was definitely like camping with my grandparents over the weekend. It was great. Thank you once again!
