2 nights at Triple J Farm and Campground
I had a quiet, peaceful time at Triple J Farm. Jessica met me on arrival and led me out to the site. She helped me carry my stuff in and even came out at 10 p.m. to warn me there was a severe thunderstorm warning, and if I wanted to come in, I was welcome. The dogs on the property are super friendly. One even decided to hang out with me as I walked the creek. Even with the heat of summer, the air around the creek is cool and the water cooler. If you have sensitive feet, wear water shoes, lots of rocks, slate and mica. If you wanted to, you could definitely find some rough gems. The area is also heavy in wild blackberries. I was a little too early but still got to enjoy some sun-warmed juiciness! While there are plenty of spots to hang a hammock, I found a spot right next to the creek, where I peacefully finished a couple of books I was reading. It was beautiful! I’ll be back!

We LOVED camping here ! We are not campers by sport and are in no way, experts but this was amazing. The property is sooo cute ! We went on a walk and picked a basketful of blackberries 🥰 The goats provided everything we needed to be comfy, the yurt area was perfect for our small family. The creek, swing, grill, and all. We loved it ! A really bad thunderstorm hit the night we stayed and we hunkered down and made it through. It was an experience we will NEVER forget and can't wait to visit again. Our kids loved them panning in the creek, and the shower - the outdoor shower was the favorite lol

Weekend Trip to Rustic Ridge Rooftop Skoolie
We had the best time on Steven’s land in the Rooftop Skoolie! Steven was an extremely gracious and communicative host, and we felt incredibly cared and provided for throughout the entire trip! The bus sits at the backside of a beautiful property and feels completely private. We opted for Steven to provide a bundle of firewood for us, and a large, dry stack was waiting for us when we arrived! While sitting around the fire pit, you’ll enjoy mountain views and wide open rolling hay fields. We loved roasting marshmallows and catching fireflies in the evening. The newly constructed “outhouse” (toilet, shower, and laundry) was gorgeous, clean, and climate controlled, which made getting cleaned up after a long hot day of hiking a real treat. The bus itself was a highlight of the trip for my two boys. They loved sitting behind the wheel, pressing all of the switches and buttons, and operating the door for us to move in and out. The interior has been carefully designed and crafted to maximize utility without sacrificing comfort. While we did spend most of our time outdoors, we were all able to sleep comfortably inside. There’s a small selection of card and board games that we played at the picnic table during downtime and didn’t feel the need to turn the TV on at all. If you’re looking for a special weekend getaway close to hiking, swimming, waterfalls, fishing, mountain biking, paddling, and so much more, look no further than the Rooftop Skoolie! 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely perfect for a scenic getaway to reset. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Really a great little spot. Kitchen has everything you’ll need as far as equipment (hot plate, air frier, toaster oven, coffee pot). Cannot recommend enough! Will absolutely be back.

Incredible getaway: wooded trails, great fishing, peaceful canoe, beautiful views, and the best hospitality. We rented a golf cart to explore the land a bit more and that was a great addition to our trip. We did not want to leave and we cannot wait to come back! Thanks for everything Mike!

The cabin was cozy and peaceful, by a nice little pond. Could use a bit more kitchen equipment like pots and pans, but otherwise sufficiently equipped. The heater worked great to keep us warm on cold evenings. My son loved seeing the beautiful horses and animals, and playing with the very friendly farm dogs who kept us company. George and their daughter were friendly and nice to chat to. Thank you for a fun stay on your beautiful farm!

Weekend Trip to Rosewood Farm and Agripark
Incredibly peaceful! Set in a hollow with a small pond next to it available to kayak (provided) & fish. Horses set up on the hillside. Plenty of other animals to enjoy as well. Hosts are perfectly welcoming & there if/when you need them. It offers the opportunity to unplug from the world and enjoy simple living with a touch of all the amenities you may need without the digital distractions...Splendidly perfect!

We loved this farm! The rolling pastures are beautiful, it was a delight to see and talk to all of the animals. Brittany was very accommodating, providing us with some wood for the burn barrel. This is not meant to be a negative comment, buy if you stay during cold snaps, I highly suggest you layer up. As cozy, clean, and cute as the loft is, it does not get warm in the least when it's in the 20s. We layered up, brought extra sleeping bags so we were fine. The animals in the barn below have their idea of noise level. Ha! We appreciate farm life, so none of the various noises bothered us. It was quite amusing. The bathroom downstairs is very rustic, but clean. We didn't have the opportunity to check out the outdoor shower. We will definitely return!

Rosewood Farm and Agripark is my home. I honestly had about the most amazing childhood one could have on this very land! We hunted, fished, made mud pies and played outside for hours, as long as we were in shouting distance for supper time! I am so fortunate to be the daughter of two amazing parents, who had a dream to build a working farm from nothing more than a logging trail in the woods. They built a 3 story, 10,000 square foot house by themselves- while raising a family! We have 200 acres of farmland that features rolling hills, multiple ponds, creeks, farm animals, show horses and countless wildlife viewing opportunities. Wild turkey and deer roam free all over the farm, coveys of dove fly out from the pastures and trails, and coyotes howl in the night. Listen to the frogs croaking, crickets chirping and whipporwhills calling every evening under a magical blanket of stars. Take a nature hike through the trails that meander through the woods around the park. Our newest venture is to offer primitive camping and some cabin rentals around our 60 acre Agripark! For those wanting to step it up a notch, we have erected a large concrete floor, covered event barn (for parties, family reunions, weddings, cowboy church, etc..,) and also a huge petting zoo barn with an area behind it for pony rides and 4-h/FFA functions. Also, a greenhouse is being erected next, that will teach people about aquaponics and hydroponics! Many things are on the immediate horizon for this special property. While we are under heavy construction at the moment in some areas of the park, many amenities are currently available. Why not unplug from the daily grind and spend time with those that matter most? My goal is to make this land as magical for your family as it has been for mine!

This 1983 Ford Blue Bird bus has been one of NC's most popular Airbnb's over the last several years. It has since been relocated, renovated, rejuvenated and found its way to the perfect location on our farm. Nestled in the beautiful foothills of the blueridge mountains, this one of a kind getaway is perfect for couples, small families or individuals. You can have your morning coffee or stargaze at night from the rooftop deck, which boasts an amazing view of the South Mountains. We are conveniently located between Charlotte and Asheville and are within 30 minutes of Shelby, Hickory, Forest City, Morganton and Marion. Just a short drive is the beautiful South Mountains State Park, which is the perfect place for hiking or a picnic. Also within a short distance is Yogi Bear Campground with Blue Ridge Mountain Coaster and the new Cherry Bounce Adventure Park. We also partner with local wedding venues that are also very convenient to our location. Some of these include Zimmerwald Estate, Farm Haven, The Venue at Don's Pond, Mountain View Barn and Venue, Creekside Farm Venue and The Farm at Belwood. Other attractions include Tryon Equestrian Center, Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. You can find plenty to do nearby or you can just sit by the fire, relax and enjoy the beauty here around us. You will enjoy a peaceful and private location surrounded by 65 acres of farmland. On site, there is a nice trail through the woods that leads to a beautiful creek area with a picnic table and fire pit. This is a working farm so you may hear or see an occasional tractor or side by side passing nearby. Across the road is our historic farmhouse that was built in 1880, which is also a vacation rental. This property is over 200 acres with cattle and a couple horses. It is common to see deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife in the area. *We do allow pets, but we have a pet fee of $40 per pet for up to 2. This has to be selected when booking as an "extra." We do ask that you keep pets off of furniture and clean up after them outside to keep things nice for the next guests.*
