Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips.
We DO allow tent camping.
Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi.
An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm.
Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired.
The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse).
There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

A beautiful small farm where we homestead. We have a large garden, including raised beds, and raise everything organically. No pesticides. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond.
Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer.
We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge.
We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding.
Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm.
The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years.

We are located appx 20 minutes from Lake Thurmond and several well-known golf courses.
The entire property is a no-smoking zone. This includes cigarettes, vape pens, etc. This is also a non-drinking zone. No alcohol of any kind is allowed on the premises. These rules are set in place for the safety of my family and my animals.
Please let us know if there is anything you need before your arrival and we do our best to accommodate you. For your convenience there is a Dollar General located one mile down the road.

Welcome to beautiful Aiken County SC! We are a small homestead/farm 10 miles north of the wonderful little city of Aiken. Our clothing optional farm offers access to sandy roads for riding horses and 4 wheelers, a sand pit is also close by for some exciting 4 wheeler action. Our travel trailer is situated next to the house but offers a private refuge. Pets are allowed but we have livestock guardian dogs so they must be leashed. We raise miniature horses, miniature Highland and Highland cross cattle, Kune Kune and Kune Kune cross pigs, as well as chickens and geese. We have a lovely 1+ acre pond in front of the main house, which is fully stocked with Brim, Channel Catfish and Largemouth Bass. This pond has a wonderful ecosystem and is home to Kingfishers, wood ducks, Storks, herons, egrets, and is a place where a nesting pair of Bald Eagles come for water, and an occasional fish. We have an in-ground swimming pool, and a paddle boat to take out on the pond.
Whether you are looking for a quiet weekend get away, or a chance to experience farm life on a small homestead, this place has a lot to offer.
We offer a canning class, making artisan bread, and a hayride (tractor pulled) around the property. Breakfast and lunch or breakfast and Dinner can be included in the stay at an additional charge.
We have 2 large horses that can be fed carrots, loved on, petted, and the possibility of some riding.
Gathering eggs, feeding the hens and pigs, playing with Titan the farm mascot (our Great Dane dog), or just relaxing around the pool, or around a fire pit, there is always something happening on our little farm.
The lady of the house has her Serv Safe certification for preparing and serving food and has been a home chef for parties and catering for several years.

We are a working equine and small animal rescue farm. You will walk out the front door with ponies grazing as your view. You can also look out the kitchen window while making your coffee and watch the horses graze.

We do have a fire pit on the property that you are welcome to use, as well as a charcoal grill. You are responsible for bringing your own charcoal, lighters, etc. If you need wood bundles please let us know.
We are located appx 20 minutes from Lake Thurmond and several well-known golf courses.
The entire property is a no-smoking zone. This includes cigarettes, vape pens, etc. This is also a non-drinking zone. No alcohol of any kind is allowed on the premises. These rules are set in place for the safety of my family and my animals.

Welcome to beautiful Aiken County SC! We are a small homestead/farm 10 miles north of the wonderful little city of Aiken. Our clothing optional farm offers access to sandy roads for riding horses and 4 wheelers, a sand pit is also close by for some exciting 4 wheeler action. Our travel trailer is situated next to the house but offers a private refuge. Pets are allowed but we have livestock guardian dogs so they must be leashed. We loved our weekend at the Lizard Sniffer Ranch!! We stayed at the Wilbur site. This horse farm is a little slice of heaven. Although we camped, they also have cabins available. It was the perfect place for star gazing and relaxing. The owners were very nice and always a text away. We will definitely be back!!

We loved every moment at The Lizard Sniffer Ranch! It far exceeded our expectations! There were surprises around every corner of his beautiful property. We enjoyed riding our bikes on the many paths and trails. The lake was so relaxing and Randy had every Amenity you could ever imagine! Kayaks, floats, fishing gear. The bathroom at the lake was wonderful with an outside shower that I could stay in for hours! The horses, donkey, geese, dogs and lizards were something else. There are so many beautiful little cabins for rent. Randy and his family certainly put much time and love in their vision! Randy was the most gracious host ever! We can hardly wait to return!

It was a little confusing coming in, but I just drove slowly and followed the grass line towards the back of the property. We went to Diamond Hill Mine and this location was a great distance away. Weekend Trip to Small Stuff Farm
This has to be the best property offered on Hipcamp. I have rented places through Hipcamp as well as other apps, and this is the best property and best experience yet. The hosts Loretta and Erik could not be more kind and welcoming. They live onsite, and will give you space and privacy when you want it…but will also quickly make you feel like an Important part of the household.
The property is first class.
You can meet the farm animals and experience farm life as much as you’d like.
Yet you can also lounge by the pool and swim, and feel like you’re at a 5-star resort.
Very unique.
Also check out the large pond for wildlife viewing and a paddle boat ride if you’d like.
The bedroom and private bathroom is really comfortable and they have every amenity you can think of.
And be sure to include Loretta’s home cooked meals when making your reservation.
They are delicious, made with ingredients straight from the farm you are staying on, and the fellowship with new friends is the best.
Your best bet is to arrive for check-in, and not leave the property until it’s time for check-out.
You will love every moment.

We booked this on the busy 4 of July. Par two was the perfect get away. My wife felt very comfortable with the farm and the place where she could do her morning walks. The directions using Google maps were perfect and the signage inside the property were perfect. It was a full hookup site. We spent 2 glorious days there and would recommend it. It’s just about 10 minutes from interstate 20.

Our time was too short. We only stayed 1 night but it is really a great place. So great to be able to let our dogs (4) have a safe place to run around and work off energy. The paddock is a great asset to an RV site. The owner is very friendly and we could probably have talked for much longer. Clean, quiet and very relaxing. Cannot wait to go back. Oh and you can bring your horses as they have cottages with paddocks also!

We had an amazing time at the Lizardsniffer camp! A friend of mine and I stayed for some mommy and me time and our expectations were over exceeded. We got to experience one of the cabins which was very comfortable and luxurious as well as tent camping. We were happy with the tent site as it had everything we needed very close together. Although it was early in camping season our kids still enjoyed swimming in the lake and going out in the kayaks. The land is large and beautiful with plenty of space. We also enjoyed seeing the horses and donkey. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the trip and felt spoiled by Randy and his staff, how can you not with every toilet having a bidet. Thank you for a great time!

The A-frame was perfect! Enough space to be able to relax in. Every morning, afternoon and evening, my dog and I would sit on the dock gazing out at the lake with Herons, Osprey, Geese, Ducks and Cormorants all flying past.
With the boat ramp right there, we would easily cast off on our SUP for the lake.
Jesse, his wife and kids were wonderful and so nice. Their place and land offered so much to do. My dog got to feel like a country dog, interacting with the chickens, running through the woods and snoozing by the fire pit.
This trip was exactly what I needed and desired. I loved every minute at Jesse's place.

What a cool spot! We stayed on the far right side of the property and there was a private trail to a firepit. Far enough away from the owners house to have privacy. Dylan was so nice and accommodating, he built us a table! I absolutely would recommend if you're OK with limited amenities. Lots of cool places to hike such as Victoria Bryant State Park and is only 15 minutes away from downtown elberton.
