Escape to a custom-built, 100% sustainable off-grid treehouse on 23 private wooded acres in Western North Carolina. Perfect for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and those looking for a romantic retreat, this unique stay offers long-range mountain views, an eco-friendly design powered by solar energy, a cozy wood stove, and fresh mountain spring water. Enjoy an exhilarating outdoor shower and a homebiogas toilet with a scenic view. Thoughtfully designed with handcrafted woodwork, a charming kitchenette, copper finishes, and plush organic linens, this treehouse takes glamping to a whole new level of luxury. Meet the Highland Cows Guests have exclusive access to our adorable Highland cattle herd—Moonshine, Martini, and Mojito, the "cocktail" cows. Enjoy hiking? Well perfect because there are hundreds of trails nearby because the treehouse is equidistant to not 1, not 2, but 3 Blue Ridge Parkway entrances and is in the Pisgah National Forest. The highest point along the entire route of the Blue Ridge Parkway is located near us as well at Richland Balsam. In addition the treehouse is on a scenic byway which connects to another scenic byway. That makes the drive just breathtaking, going by farms and forest and runs along the Pigeon River which also offers tubing and amazing fly fishing. If that's not enough we are close to Asheville, Maggie Valley, Hendersonville, and Brevard. We suggest visiting our website www.flowertowncharmoffgrid.com/FAQ if you have questions! WINTER BOOKINGS: Our driveway may be impassible during winter weather and we recommend snow tires, snow chains, and/or 4x4 during the winter months due to ice. We do shut down the running water during the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing. We will provide guests with 5 gallon drinking jugs with a dispenser to use, and the toilet still has water to flush. But the shower, sink, tub, hose, and bidet will be shut down during these months. If you want the true off-grid experience this is it ;) We do require guests to e-sign our rental agreement that we will email to you, and request a $300 security deposit hold (not a charge) that we will release upon checkout. This is just a precaution for us letting people we don't know stay at our place and respecting it.

This immaculate small cabin near Asheville is ready to treat you to a luxurious retreat experience. We are located only 15 minutes from Asheville and a few miles from the parkway, surrounded by 14 acres of forest. There is a private hot tub that is all yours! Sauna available upon request. Professional massage therapist onsite as well. The house is hand crafted with unique creative touches for your delight. We look forward to having you! This home was built in 2019 by an expert craftsman with the vision of making it cozy and spacious with sweet artistic details and lots of care and love. The home is 300 sq feet but feels much more grand inside. You will be nestled on 14 pristine acres of forest, with two decks, your own personal private hot tub, and a spring fed creek not too far down the driveway. There is a gas fireplace outdoors on the porch, and an outdoor fire pit for your use as well. The house has a queen size bed in the upper loft, a large twin day bed on the first level, and an extra loft with camping mats if needed above the day bed. The house can comfortably sleep 3 and up to 4 or 5 especially if a couple of them are children or petite people. The house has a full kitchen and bathroom, living room area and two lofts. For now there is a composting toilet that is easy to maintain and we are happy to help you with it if you’re on the land for more than a few days. The main house is about 30 yards up the hill, and although somewhat close, you will have plenty of privacy. We are close if you need us, but we try to give all of our guests ultimate privacy. The house is under a huge magnolia tree, so it stays shaded in the summer and quite cool. There is an AC unit and heaters in the house as well. There is a personal hot tub, which is screened in, and located on the front deck of the house now. You will love it! There is a back deck that is only for meditation, yoga, and bird watching, and we ask that folks stay silent on the back deck if they use it. Pets are welcome at an extra charge of $40 a night. If anything is needed down at the house we are available. Much of the time there is a massage therapist on site, so if you are interested in getting Bodywork please just inquire about prices and availability. There is also a wood-fired sauna on the property, so if you would like to sauna please let us know. And an added bonus is that you are only 5 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and LOTS of great hiking, great restaurants, bars, coffee shops, art galleries and more. Asheville is 15 minutes from the tiny cabin and Weaverville is 10 minutes away. On any given day you might see a family a deer, turkeys or bears in the front yard. There is a spring fed creek on the edge of the property you are welcome to soak your feet in, and there is incredible hiking just a few miles away. You are welcome to explore the 13 acres of property as well that the home is located on. This is not a place for parties. Our neighbors are about 200 yards down the hill so we try to respect their privacy and keep it quiet. That is why we have made the back deck a retreat/silent deck. Maximum of 4 guests.

Kozy Koala Cove: Minutes From Town!

4. Kozy Koala Cove: Minutes From Town!

31mi from Landrum · 1 site · Lodging · Asheville, NC
Tucked at the base of our property, this cozy RV feels like a mountain escape, though you’re just minutes from Biltmore Village and local breweries. Relax by the fire pit, stargaze, or sip coffee at your own private picnic table. Inside, enjoy a queen bed, full bath, kitchen, heat and A/C. It’s the perfect blend of quiet, nature, and convenience — a private, romantic spot that feels a world away, yet close to everything. We’re so happy to have you here and hope you enjoy a cozy, relaxing stay. Here are a few helpful notes to make your visit comfortable, safe, and memorable: Bathroom & Shower The camper is stocked with bathroom and shower essentials. Shower: Just turn the knob! Toilet: This is a composting toilet. No need to flush! When you sit, the flap opens; when you stand, it closes. Toilet paper should go down the flap. The front compartment is for liquids, the back for solids. If you’re staying longer than a week, we’re happy to swap it out for you. Pro tip: Keep the bathroom door closed when not in use to keep the space smelling fresh. Also there is spray that I recommend you using to help mask the smell. Fan: We also have a rechargeable fan clipped to the shelves. Turn it on after using the restroom but pressing the button on the back of it. If it dies, there is a charger plugged in to the outlet. Kitchen Notes Stove: Runs on gas — use a lighter to ignite. Turn the knob, hold a flame safely over the burner, and adjust to your desired heat. Microwave: Please avoid running other high-powered appliances at the same time, as it might trip the breaker. AC & Heat Both are fully adjustable — set to your comfort and relax! Fire Pit Guidelines We love a good fire under the stars, but safety first: Never leave a fire unattended. Always fully extinguish the fire, spreading embers into a thin, cool layer. Feel free to forage for kindling around the yard but be ware of critters (we are in the mountains). If you want the lights, simply plug them in to the extension cord at the back of the camper Fire Safety Essentials Fire extinguisher: Located under the bathroom sink. Never leave the stove or any cooking appliance unattended. No candles or open flames inside the RV. That’s it — easy and breezy. If you have any questions, let us know!

My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border.  the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet.  The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road.  The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard.  The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool.  The two cabins are along the river.  One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river.  The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin.  There is room for a couple campsites along the river also.  The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago.  The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.
