At that time I was fortunate enough to have the land passed to me and I started building a home for myself and to be close to my mothers home nearby. My dog, Mac, and I had a wonderful stay at The Nest! It was the perfect space for us and Lisa made sure we had everything we needed. It was so comfortable and close to Gorges State Park for a hike! I’d recommend this place to my family and friends and anyone wanting to explore western NC. Just an hour drive to Asheville, 20 minutes to Cashiers or 30 minutes to Brevard, great places to explore! 5 nights at Creekside Cabin - Lake Hartwell

The cabin was great for the most part. I have very little to complain about. The only thing I could say is that pots and pans need a little work and the spatulas are definitely horrible. If you’re planning on cooking, bring your own utensils and cookware.. Cabin itself was great and cozy. Just a very steep area to park so I recommend parking on the street side. I would definitely go to this cabin again, and the host was very great and informative the whole trip. If I had any questions or concerns, she got back to me very quickly.. I recommend coming to this cabin.

This was our first time glamping (we usually tent camp) and we had a great time! Pretty setting, peaceful and quiet. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms/showers were clean, and the community kitchen was a fun place to cook and hang out. During the warmer season, future glampers might consider bringing a second fan and an extension cord. The tent has an oscillating floor fan, but a second one allows you to aim one at each bed.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Cabin - Lake Hartwell

Overall, we had a great stay. The host was very communicative and helpful, and the cabin was comfortable with beautiful views and a very cozy bed. A few things caught us off guard. I had assumed the cabin was directly on Lake Hartwell, but it isn’t, and because the exact location isn’t shared beforehand, our drive ended up being nearly 5 hours instead of the 3–3½ we expected. That also made our kayaking plans difficult since we were too far from the rental companies we had planned to use. The host did try to help us find a solution, which we appreciated. My biggest suggestion would be improving the outdoor maintenance. Given the cleaning fee, I expected the deck to be free of spider webs and wasp nests. We removed a wasp nest ourselves so we could enjoy coffee on the balcony, and the outdoor cushions had been left out by a previous guest and were wet and dirty. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. I do think the price is a bit high for the overall experience, but with a little more attention to the outdoor areas, it would be an excellent getaway.

The attention to detail in the glamping tent is unmatched. The most comfortable bed ever, electric blanket, fluffy comforters, and cute string lights. On site laundry and refrigerator were greatly appreciated! Highly recommend!!

3 nights at The Nest on Laurel Drive

We loved staying at The Nest! You could tell Lisa puts her heart into every detail. We tried to take care of it as our own little cabin because you could literally feel the warmth and care coming from within is the best way to describe it. How beautiful to spend time in nature, with the Carolina birds chirping outside all day, and oh the homemade brownies and coffee filled with water waiting. Everything you’d expect in a high end hotel (even a toothbrush, not knowing I had forgotten mine 🥹). Continued blessings to the hosts!
