3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range. I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

The entire property is surrounded by a farm drainage ditch on all sides, with random farm drainage ditches to insure the land is dry and a 60’ x 60’ old farm irrigation pond (see satellite photo to know where the ditches are located). There is plenty of seasoned raw wood (from when the property was cleared 4 years ago) laying randomly throughout the property to cut and collect for a camp fire. The land is located off a dirt access road that is well maintained by the county. The county dirt road can provide for hours of peaceful riding via mountain bikes. Campers are more then welcome to cut their own path on the land for their campsite. There is a fire pit by the large tree when first entering the property at Entrance 2 (please see photos for the locations of Entrance 1 and 2). Note: This raw land is unmaintained and was last cleared 4 years ago, photos are from April 2022. The area was cleared and level for a tent or even a camper. Jeff had a fire pit already set up to use. You are able to see the Moon and stars in the country area he has cleared out. Easy to located. It was very peaceful and the nature of the birds, crickets and the hoot owl were amazing! We would recommend this camp site to anyone!!!

We loved camping at scott’s spot!! he was extremely considerate from the moment we pulled in, he even had treats and a ball ready for our pups the spot is tucked behind on his land and could adjust to small/big families and had everything we needed for tent camping (plus more) and he even surprised us with eggs from his chicken to cook for breakfast. the area is both away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to the beach and food. overall, super generous man who we can tell loves company, we could have sat and talked to him for hours but unfortunately we were short on time, thanks for everything you did for us, scott!!

I came to this beautiful sight to stay while visiting a friend for some golf. The place is beautiful, well-maintained, and Lorie is the sweetest! She accommodated a last-minute change for me without hesitation. My dog and I had long walks together, weather permitting. The atmosphere is clearly western, and I felt like the wagons had circled for a rest on our journey. The horses grazing and rolling in the grass were a big plus. Uber clean restrooms and showers. Laundry availability a plus. My golf? Cancelled due to lightning. I will be back, maybe in the spring before the summer heat.

We stayed at Laurel Oaks in our motor home and had a beautiful site (Site1). They have 2 sites with plenty of space in between with concrete pads, fire pit and chairs. The property is beautifully maintained and the host was wonderful. If you’re looking for crazy crowds and like to be jammed next to your neighbors, this is not for you. What a wonderful secluded spot to camp. We throughly enjoyed our time there for the 4th of July. It was very beautiful and away from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle beach but close enough to go enjoy the day. They were very accommodating and let the kids pet the horses and chickens. We got to ride our bikes around the trails and pond that they have with kayaksto use if we wanted to. I would recommend and will be back.

Scott was very hospitable, despite us checking in very late due to bad weather on the road he was there to greet us and show us the spot. He kindly offered for BBQ, and even surprised us with some fresh watermelon. The campsite is very close to town, Walmart, gas stations, the beach, though being in a secluded spot. **Make sure to bring mosquito repellent.

Location of the camp site was amazing. Right by a corner for easy parking. Also, right by the bath house. Campsite was level. The staff and the resort are very friendly. The best family vacation I have ever had with my family.

I loved RV camping at Laurel Oaks! We were meeting friends for the first time and it was the perfect spot. Secluded, calm, peaceful, with the added security of a gate that only we knew the code to. This location was close to everything that Myrtle Beach had to offer but far enough away to relax! We will definitely be staying here again!!!
